This page stands upon the assertion that the Universe and all it's constituent parts are here because of "External or Remote Superior Intelligent Design". More specifically, we believe by faith and by irrefutible scientific evidence that a single superior being (i.e., G-d, Jehovah) orchestrated the appearance and functioning of all matter, systems and entities.
Some theologians hold theory, and with good reason, that there is a
chronological gap between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. The Scripture reads as
follows:
It seems most odd that an intelligent Creator would produce the Heavens and Earth and that they would appear non-descript. Proponents of the "creational gap theory" believe, simply stated, that God created it all many thousands of years ago along with the angelic legions, and that destruction or cataclysm occured during the rebellion and disfellowship of Lucifer and 1/3 of the angels. There are several obscure passages refering to "Rahab"(the proud) and how Jehova had released his fury and justice against the same.
Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.Psalms 89:10
Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon? Isaiah 51:9
But Job answered and said, How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength? How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is? To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee? Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof. Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering. He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them. He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it. He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end. The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof. He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud(rahab). By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent. Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand? Job 26
A corresponding theory concerning the planetary bodies comes from the secular world. Several leading astronomers have set forth the idea that in the ancient past there was another planet in the vicinity of Mars and Jupiter which exploded or imploded, flinging debris' into what is now an asteriod belt and pelting nearby planets with meteorites. This planet is refered to as "Planet V(five) or Astera". Mr. Tom van Flandern is a major player in this theory.
Some Bible scholars believe this planet was Satan's home planet--from which he was placed in a position of honor and from which he made his rebellious statements. One can see from the scriptures refering to Rahab, that God was highly agitated at some evil do-ers, which included a group on the Earth.
