I decided to start with Archaic art (and not Schlieman like my teacher suggested) mostly because I found a lot of things in Herodotus that I thought might exist (and many do) and might be fun to look at. Here is a little background:
The Archaic period in Greece started in the 6th
century B.C., when tyrants (the word in Greed does not have the negative
connotation associated with it in English) ruled the Greek city states and all
but the Eastern Greeks enjoyed a period of relative peace. A feeling of a Greek
nationality began to form and as a result the many different schools of art from
the 5th century began to merge into a common styles defined by major city-states
or regions (Athens, Corinth, the Peloponnesian cities, etc.). Bibliography for
