| The Secretarial Department aims to prepare students to meet efficiently and adequately the growing demands for
manpower in business, industry and government services. |

| The faculty accepts and supports the philosophy and objectives of the university as a whole and thus, aims: |
| 1. To provide the students with: |
| a common foundation of knowledge concerning modern business through a core program consisting of General Education Professional Secretarial Administration Education; |
| sufficient expose to the realities of the business world through academic instruction closely coordinated with the business community; |
| an adequate training to make Secretarial graduates immediately employable by engaging in employment, entrepreneurship or self-employment; |

| 2. To prepare the students for the world of work and professional competition; and |
| 3. To develop attitudes that will be useful to students in adjusting to their environment. |

| Specifically, the activities of the College are geared towards the formation of students who can meaningfully participate in the
development of moral, cultural, ethical, and spiritual values of their respective community. |

| The curriculum of the Arts & Science, through its varied major areas of concentration, prepares the students for: |
| 1. Their future role as self-reliant citizens who are equipped with basic methodology of learning: |
| 2. The acquisition of habits that would preserve and enrich our national cultural heritage; |
| 3. Their pursuit towards relevant scientific and technological ends; and |
| 4. The teaching profession - teachers who are equipped with virtue of love, truth, justice, freedom, quality and peace;
teachers who would uphold the dignity and responsibility attached to the profession. |
