O-Town
from left to right: Jacob Underwood, Dan Miller, Erik Estrada, Ashley Angel & Trevor Penick

How was O-Town formed?
I'm sure everyone has watched or heard about ABC's famous Making the Band reality TV series. Auditions were held all across the U.S. and the entire process of choosing the members of a band was captured on camera for the whole world to view. Out of the thousands of hopeful auditions, 25 male contestants were chosen. Out of those 25, eight were chosen. And finally, out of those eight, the final five were chosen. These final five are known as the famous new pop group, O-Town.

What does O-Town stand for?
Orlando Town.

Who are the final five?
This group consists of Jacob Underwood, Dan Miller, Erik Estrada, Ashley Angel & Trevor Penick.

Who were the eight finalists?
Jacob, Erik, Ashley, Trevor, Ikaika Kahoano, Bryan Chan, Paul Martin & Mike Miller.

Who were the original final five?
Jacob, Erik, Ashley, Trevor & Ikaika.

What happened to Ikaika, Bryan, Mike & Paul?
Well, Ikaika left the group because of personal reasons, Bryan & Mike never made it to the final five, and Paul quit halfway through the tryouts.

How did Dan get in?
After Ikaika left, the guys tried to remain as a foursome but it wasn't working out. They needed a fifth member. Therefore, they asked Dan Miller who was one of the 25 finalists to join them. Of course Dan accepted! Who wouldn't? The weird thing is though, they didn't even consider asking Bryan or Mike. Their first thought was Dan.

When was O-Town's first album released?
January 23, 2001.

When is the show back on air?
Making the Band returns to ABC on June 8th, 2001.
