Summary: Roger Davies attempts to write his wedding vows.
Author's Note: This is a response to ChainedDove's challenge at SCUSA to write a short fic about Cho and Roger writing their wedding vows.

Roger Davies cleared his throat and did his level best to look sincere.
"I Roger Davies do take thee, Cho Chang as my lawfully wedded wife..."
"Too formal dear," his mirror informed him.
"It's what the Muggles use," Roger said as he ran a nervous hand through his thick brown hair, putting it into an even further state of disarray. He was starting to look more like a resident of Azkaban than a bridegroom on the eve of his wedding.
He paced in front of the mirror for a few minutes, mumbling bits of possible vows. The writing of wedding vows, a long standing tradition among wizards, was proving to be far more difficult than he had anticipated. He knew what he wanted to say, but could not find the right words.
"I will love you my whole life," Roger tested another idea aloud. "Possible. How about 'I'll be faithful to you,' no..."
He closed his eyes and thought of the day he proposed to Cho. At the time he had been amazed that she understood what he was saying, but later figured that his being down on one knee and holding up a ring told her what she needed to know. He'd later overheard Cho tell Sarah Fawcett how touched she was that Roger was too overcome with emotion to be coherent.
Roger faced the mirror with a new confidence.
"You are the only woman who has ever made me so overcome with love that I cannot speak. I will love you - and you alone - for my entire life."
Roger nodded to himself, pleased. He'd found his vows.
"Bring handkerchiefs, dearie," his mirror proclaimed in a teary voice. "Your lady will need them."
