"Connections"

Quo'on was frankly irritated by the necessity of attending William Boone's funeral, but at the same time he respected the fallen implant as much as he respected any human. If it had not been for Boone his people might still be contending with a free Ha'gel.

Ha'gel. The Ancient Kimera's name echoed in Quo'on's mind. What had been his purpose? He obviously had been unable to join with the humans, the death of his mate confirmed that, yet he had not gone after any Taelons, why? Perhaps Ha'gel still considered himself bound by the archaic morality code of his people.

Quo'on stepped forward as he had been advised to do and placed a single white flower, a rose, on the coffin. As he stepped back he felt a strange tingling in the Commonality. Da'an was too grief stricken and Zo'or still too full of arrogance at having been the one to dispose of Da'an's implant to notice. He looked at a tall human in military attire and suddenly knew this being was part Kimera. He also saw the hybrid's premonition of his own impending end.

His shock was such that he did not have time to alert his brethren before the blast by the Jaridian replicant sent him into the void.
