| The Sandys |
| The Sandys are two children who chose the same name, each refusing to choose another for the sake of clarity :) Because they have the same name, we refer to them as "Sandy1" and "Sandy2". |
| Sandy1 is the eldest of the two children. We guess her age to be approximately ten years. Sandy1 is a very quiet child who seems mature beyond her years. Although she is naturally rather grown-up, she deliberately does not show "childish" behaviour. With other Paradox children, she is quite assertive and sometimes bossy. With children outside the system, she is withdrawn and resentful. She is a sister to the younger Sandy and often looks after her, although she complains about the responsibility. Sandy1 does age slide to a somewhat younger age during times of stress. She is very intelligent and a good student. Sandy chose her name when she fell in love with the character of "Sandra Dee" in the movie Grease. Her ideal is to be as "good" as she perceives the character to be, both in behaviour and morality. Sandy1 felt a kinship with this character; in the movie, "Sandy" struggles to maintain her identity and values while others pressure her to be "like everyone else". |
| Sandy2 is the younger sibling of this pair. She is approximately five years old, but she also age slides depending on the situation. We think Sandy2 chose her name because she admires her older sister, but she will not admit to this. Sandy2 is very playful and smiley. She loves food, especially anything that looks like junk food or dessert. She likes to color and play with dolls. She enjoys having stuffies around that keep her company. Sandy2 also has her sad moments, during which she says she feels a deep deep sadness but says she doesn't know why. Sandy2 gets along well with other Paradox children, and seems amicable (if shy) towards children outside the system. |
