星座的故事

在希臘神話，正義女神阿斯特莉亞掌管辨別善惡一職，她隨身攜帶著一座天秤，只要哪一邊的心中充滿正義，天秤就會傾向哪一邊，藉以做出最公正、公平的判決！天神宙斯為了維持人間的和諧與秩序，就派她到人間主持裁決、審判之事。

當阿斯特莉亞到達人間後，便致力解決人們之間的紛爭，她到處散播正義的種子，期望人們以寬容、博愛的心來看待一切的事物。剛開始，人們都遵從正義女神的教誨，不勺心鬥角，也不相互殘殺，還有難解的事情，一定會來請正義女神做一個公正的裁示；但漸漸的，人們愈來愈懶、也愈來愈多貪念，他們逐漸不來找正義女神了......

阿斯特莉亞看見這種情形，心裡真是難過極了！她每天苦口婆心的勸導人們，但人們總是表面敷衍她一下，暗地裡又從事非法勾當，甚至有變本加厲之勢！阿斯特莉亞完全失去笑容了，她帶著失望、悲傷的心回到天上去，並將天秤置於夜空中成為星座，希望人們在白天逞兇鬥狠之後，能夠在晚上看到天秤而心存警惕與悔改！

在七月上旬的黃昏中，南方的天空中有一個像天秤形狀的星座，那即是天秤座。天秤座的象徵符號，是以秤的中心部位設計而成的，代表了公正與平衡，同時也是正義的化身！

Libra is the only inanimate sign of the zodiac, all the others representing either humans or animals. Many modern astrologers regard it as the most desirable of zodiacal types because it represents the zenith of the year, the high point of the seasons, when the harvest of all the hard work of the spring is reaped. There is a mellowness and sense of relaxation in the air as mankind enjoys the last of the summer sun and the fruits of his toil. Liberians too are among the most civilized of the twelve zodiacal characters and are often good looking. They have elegance, charm and good taste, are naturally kind, very gentle, and lovers of beauty, harmony (both in music and social living) and the pleasures that these bring.

They have good critical faculty and are able to stand back and look impartially at matters which call for an impartial judgment to be made on them. But they do not tolerate argument from anyone who challenges their opinions, for once they have reached a conclusion, its truth seems to them self-evident; and among their faults is an impatience of criticism and a greed for approval. But their characters are on the whole balanced, diplomatic and even-tempered.

Liberians are sensitive to the needs of others and have the gift, sometimes to an almost psychic extent, of understanding the emotional needs of their companions and meeting them with their own innate optimism - they are the kind of people of whom it is said, "They always make you feel better for having been with them." They are very social human beings. They loathe cruelty, viciousness and vulgarity and detest conflict between people, so they do their best to cooperate and compromise with everyone around them, and their ideal for their own circle and for society as a whole is unity.

Their cast of mind is artistic rather than intellectual, though they are usually too moderate and well balanced to be savant grade in any artistic endeavor. They have good perception and observation and their critical ability, with which they are able to view their own efforts as well as those of others, gives their work integrity.

In their personal relationships they show understanding of the other person's point of view, trying to resolve any differences by compromise, and are often willing to allow claims against themselves to be settled to their own disadvantage rather than spoil a relationship. They like the opposite sex to the extent of promiscuity sometimes, and may indulge in romanticism bordering on sentimentality. Their marriages, however, stand a good chance of success because they are frequently the union of "true minds". The Liberian’s continuing kindness toward his or her partner mollifies any hurt the latter may feel if the two have had a tiff. Nor can the Liberian’s spouse often complain that he or she is not understood, for the Liberian is usually the most empathetic of all the zodiacal types and the most ready to tolerate the beloved's failings.

The negative Liberian character may show frivolity, flirtatiousness and shallowness. It can be changeable and indecisive, impatient of routine, colorlessly conventional and timid, easygoing to the point of inertia, seldom angry when circumstances demand a show of annoyance at least; and yet Liberians can shock everyone around them at sudden storms of rage. Their love of pleasure may lead them into extravagance; Liberian men can degenerate into reckless gamblers, and Liberian women extravagant, jealous and careless about money sometimes squander their wealth and talents in their overenthusiasm for causes which they espouse. Both sexes can become great gossipers. A characteristic of the type is an insatiable curiosity that tempts them to Enquirer into every social scandal in their circle.

In their work the description "lazy Libra" which is sometimes given is actually more alliterative than true. Liberians can be surprisingly energetic, though it is true that they dislike coarse, dirty work. Although some are modestly content, others are extremely ambitious. With their dislike of extremes they make good diplomats but perhaps poor party politicians, for they are moderate in their opinions and able to see other points of view. They can succeed as administrators, lawyers (they have a strong sense of justice, which cynics might say could handicap them in a legal career), antique dealers, civil servants and bankers, for they are trustworthy in handling other people's money. Some Liberians are gifted in fashion designing or in devising new cosmetics; others may find success as artists, composers, critics, writers, interior decorators, welfare workers or values, and they have an ability in the management of all sorts of public entertainment. Some work philanthropically for humanity with great self-disciple and significant results. Liberian financiers sometimes make good speculators, for they have the optimism and ability to recover from financial crashes.

他 只 是 在 精 神 上 經 常 處 於 焦 慮 、 不 安 ， 容 易 受 驚 ， 受 不 了 在 精 神 上 被 干 擾 。 而 這 些 ， 你 大 概 只 能 從 他 的 眼 睛 中 找 到 蛛 絲 馬 跡 。 他 會 壓 抑 自 己 真 正 的 情 感 。

如 果 他 在 外 表 上 顯 出 暴 燥 和 歇 斯 底 里 的 狀 態 ， 便 是 他 已 經 壓 抑 到 了 盡 頭 ， 那 時 他 所 做 的 和 所 說 的 ， 會 像 狂 風 暴 雨 向 你 掃 來 。 即 使 你 認 為 他 不 講 理 ， 他 也 不 會 多 做 解 釋 。

表 面 上 浪 漫 骨 子 裡 卻 很 實 際 　 　

剛 與 天 秤 座 陷 入 情 網 時 ， 你 覺 得 一 切 都 太 浪 漫 、 太 華 美 了 ！ 但 ， 他 重 實 際 的 性 格 會 慢 慢 跑 出 來 ， 如 果 你 們 只 能 相 愛 ， 卻 不 合 適 相 處 ， 他 會 比 你 更 快 一 步 去 面 對 現 實 而 提 出 分 手 的 「 建 議 」 。

凡 事 要 求 公 平 ， 也 極 力 反 對 不 公 平 的 事 ， 是 天 秤 座 最 令 人 敬 畏 的 地 方 。 他 對 於 不 合 理 的 事 ， 採 取 激 烈 的 態 度 ， 不 是 憤 怒 ， 便 是 冷 漠 以 對 。

他 很 強 調 知 性 的 生 活 ， 喜 歡 閱 讀 專 業 性 的 書 籍 。 對 有 學 問 的 好 人 ， 傾 心 不 已 。 他 不 相 信 世 界 上 有 真 理 ， 卻 衷 心 希 望 有 人 找 到 真 理 時 ， 拿 來 給 他 見 識 一 番 。

他 不 會 為 了 尋 覓 世 人 所 謂 的 極 樂 世 界 」 而 千 里 跋 涉 ， 但 會 從 一 百 種 以 上 的 角 度 來 觀 察 別 人 眼 中 的 「 極 樂 世 界 」 ， 那 是 不 是 真 的 是 一 個 「 極 樂 」 的 世 界 。

他 不 愛 做 決 定 ， 卻 常 擺 出 正 在 做 某 個 重 要 決 定 的 模 樣

如 此 一 來 ， 決 定 與 否 ， 都 深 深 苦 惱 著 他 。 你 也 可 以 說 ， 他 是 個 不 愛 做 決 定 的 人 。 可 是 ， 說 也 奇 怪 ， 你 卻 老 看 見 他 擺 出 正 在 做 某 個 重 要 決 定 的 慎 重 要 模 樣 。 他 喜 歡 皆 大 歡 喜 的 場 面 ， 又 憂 慮 和 平 的 假 象 之 下 所 潛 伏 的 危 機 。 　 　

因 此 ， 天 秤 座 的 人 不 算 是 一 個 能 盡 情 享 受 人 生 的 人 ， 但 是 他 挺 追 求 人 生 足 堪 享 受 的 一 面 。

誠 實 溫 和 ， 富 同 情 心 而 看 重 感 情 ， 處 事 力 求 公 正 與 中 庸 ， 不 願 偏 激 。 擅 長 交 際 ， 渴 望 共 享 快 樂 幸 福 的 伙 伴 ， 重 視 婚 姻 ， 不 做 無 理 的 嫉 妒 。 喜 愛 推 理 、 辯 論 及 美 的 事 物 ， 審 美 眼 光 很 高 ， 討 厭 粗 俗 的 東 西 。 把 一 件 事 分 析 多 次 後 ， 一 定 要 下 結 論 ， 莫 再 猶 疑 。 意 志 薄 弱 ， 易 導 致 猶 豫 不 決 。 多 問 問 伴 侶 的 感 受 ， 以 減 少 因 疏 忽 而 積 下 的 怨 尤 。 女 性 為 藝 術 而 努 力 時 ， 記 得 回 顧 自 己 的 家 庭 。

adopted by our judicial system to symbolize a balance of fairness in the law which is emphasized by 'blind justice' holding them.
