The title: Acropolis
One of the few sad yet sweet songs Kyo wrote is Akuro no oka. it's so sad! Well, it seems that there's this hill somewhere where these two lovers liked to frequent. But the girl has passed away, and the guy continues to go to that place to reminiscence. He's really quite devoted to her. He doesn't love anyone else after her death.
He remembers her dearly, and describes himself as a "withering flower", who is slowly dying because she is no longer there to take care of him. He wants to relive the past, but cannot, so he says that "the past may not return, but in my rebirth I'll search for you", because he knows that they may be reunited again in their next life, and he asks her to wait for him, while he stands on that hill.
Now isn't that sweet?
we met in that place, didn't we. Now I can
no longer do anything but...
we met in this town, didn't we. Now I can no longer love anyone but...
now you are on that hill, looking at this sky
which we saw together.
now I am in this sky, we were there, looking at that hill.
the withering flower, like that time, even
once more would be enough, it wants to bloom beautifully.
on this night, the heart and ideals melt into the darkness, at least just
for tonight,
by your side.
meeting you in that place, everything began,
now I can't do anything.
meeting you in this town, now I can't love anyone, with you again
on that hill
the withering flower, like that time, even
once more would be enough, it wants to bloom beautifully
on this night, the heart and ideals melt into the darkness, at least just
for tonight
our interlocked fingers loosen, I who am sinking deeply loved the you I last
saw
a dream unfulfilled. I wait on that hill. I want to sleep with you, a dream
unawakened.
the past may not return but in my rebirth I'll
search for you
so until that time wait for me, but for now that hill is still...
