Spreads easily. Keep aquarium as dark as possible as Saprolegnia needs light to spread. Clean nets with NET SOAK

Problem

Shakes and Shimmies

Appearance

Fish wags and shakes while standing still

Cause

Water lacks electrolytes

Proper Action

Use MOLLY BRIGHT or SHIMMY BLOCKS.

This is not a disease but a warning something is lacking in the water used. MOLLY BRIGHT and SHIMMY BLOCKS supply the needed electrolytes

Appearance

Fish act stunned or gasp at top of water

Cause

Ammonia and carbon dioxide suffocating fish in container

Proper Action

Use START RIGHT and ACE-AMMONIA CHLORAMINE ELIMINATOR

Notes

Ammonia from fish waste and carbon dioxide from fish breathing are combined and neutralized.

Problem

Small Fish Deaths

Appearance

Small fish, especially neons, angels and guppies die without visible symptoms.

Cause

A true fungus called Saprolegnia invades the gills causing suffocation

Water unsuitable as many of these fish are caught wild

Eye injury. From handling or breeder fighting

Notes

Check for breeding pairs if there are older fish. Seperate these and place in spawning aquarium.
