The MAP or Mass Assembly Platform has the main function of fabricating large parts. In most cases it's used for creating the hull plating of larger ships like the carriers and battleships. In the case of dreadnaught class ships (including the battleplate) other parts are forged here as well. Each MAP has it's own fleet of resourcer drones dispatched from the Drone Bays since they have no carrying capacity of their own. The drones gather raw resources for the MAP's onboard smelter. With a mixture of fusion cutters and intense series' of localized magnetic fields, nearly any part can be produced. The MAP, along with several other constructs, are incapable of moving as they have no engines or thrusters. Tugs must be used if they are needed to be moved.
