Meeka

NOV 27
Pregnant Meeka 6-9 days before she is due.. starting to get a little "chubby". Here is is busy nesting!

First we move around this bedding... and then we check out our extra stock of food.. have to make sure everything is ready for the "kids" arrivel!!!

Checking out her wheel to see if anything intresting is hidden in it!!

Meeka looking in her wheel to discover one of her favorite treats (sea-sa-me soy nut) which she carried of to one of her tunnles to munch on before storing it in her cube house!

Big strech for a little mouse!!
Here is Meeka's current cage set-up, she has lots of tubes to paly in which she enjoys alot! She has her cube hut and her smaller hut (sometimes used as a small animal litter box) Her little wooden chest and all the basics. Meeka seems to enjoy this set-up and will share her home later with Spaz and Nya.

Nya and Spaz

NOV 27
Here is Nya [formerly "Big Eyes"] (front) and Spaz (back), my little friends from Toronto, On!! This is thier travleing cage where they have been for a few days. They will be moving into thier larger isolation tank till it's time to meet Meeka.

Nya (left) and Spaz (right) check out the full bowl of seed mix to pick out thier favorite treats!

Spaz (left) and Nya (right) sometimes mice move fast.. so can't always have good pictures, now can we? Here you can see Spaz spotted "rump" and her longer fur and her short tail...too bad the flash made her face not show :(

Nya (left) and Spaz (right) aren't they just too cute???

Spaz does a little renovating of her bedding!! She pushed it all out and then back in.. kind of pointless!! Spaz and Nya groom eachother and are very loving sisters. Spaz is the older of the 2, she is under a year old, but age is unknown. Nya is about 4-5 months old.

OCT 27 All these where taken after the tumor first arrived.. as you can see she is still active and alert!! I see no reason to stop taking photos of Jersey now she has the tomur...after all she is still our friend and it's not that horrible looking is it?

Whenever Jersey wakes up during the day to get some treats the first thing she does is sit on top of her little hut and make sure all is well in her tank.

She then makes sure all food and treat dishes have something in them and checks for anything new and tastey that we might have given her. Her food dishes are at the opposite end of her cage from her bed so that she has to travel to get her food, this helps to keep her more active.

After finding something interesteing she takes it off to her tube where she sits and munches it for a while before going to hide it behind her wheel (note this is before her wheel was cleaned out recently so it's not spotless here!)

After ever good meal one needs a good drink!! Her you can see her tomur...

Still drinking :) it was a BIG treat!!

Have to work off those callories!! Running through her tubes in the nest step!!!

Back to her hut to check things out, and a little run in her wheel before it off to bed till night time comes and she will be up and active again!!

One sleepy Jersey coming out of her house to get her "sun seed: Soynut" treat.. as you can see she isn't totaly awake just yet...

Mouse eye view of Donavin sitting by the cage!!!
