SEPTEMPER 2001
Here is a front view of Sham's home after cleaning, as you can see it has 3 levels and a few ramps for him to go up and down, there is a large tunnel leading from the second level to the third which he enjoys going through on a daily basis. We had to carefuly remodle his home to be safe for a hedgehog as it was built for a ferret.
Here is a side view of the second level, you can see the tube which goes all around the back up to the second level at a very slow slop upwards to make it easy for little hedgie to climb up!
This is Sham in his "Sham Ball" it's a ball simular to the one made for a hamster but is a much larger model originaly made for a adult rat of Guniea Pig. It works great for an active hedgie when you are cleaning his cage and don't want him to get into any trouble!
Sham exploring his enviroment from a "Sham Ball" point of view, he often snuffles and makes happy hedgie sounds while in here.. he also is known to poop!
Here is our little Sham coming out of his sham ball, Sham is a littel small for an adult male, but still you can see the size of the ball compared to him
Just another shot of our Sham coming out of his flouresent green ball ;)
Cute little Sham and John's hand, as you can see here is is totaly relaxed and his quills lay flat. This is what a happy hedgie looks like!
And a top view of our Sham in his ball, as you can see his ragged ear problem is finnaly gone!!!!!
Just another one of Sham exploring in the ball.. when I first bought this I wasn't sure if it'd work with a hedghog but Sham took to the idea right away!!!!
After a long day of running in your ball, it's time to re do the bed after all that cleaning John did.. here is another toy of Sham's which he uses to make a bed...he actually has a large blastic bowl in there too that he goes under.. we never did figure out HOW he got it in there!!!
All that running around makes for a thirsy little hedgie!! Sham also has a water bottle as well as his bowl, this one is a little high, but we fixed it after the photo was taken.
Still drinking away!! It was a LOOOOOONG run!
Sham checking out his cleaned home to make sure all his stuff is still there....

Here is Marian meeting Sham for the first time out of his cage... Marian - "whats this ball coming towards me?"
Attack of the bumping ball, (yes, Sham does bump into the cats... he will even chase them!)
Sham -"AH ha... thought you could escape me but running into the next room!!!!" Marian - "help mommy!! A green snuffling ball is after me!!!"
Very cute little Shamrock Sean about to go up his ramp!!
Here he goes, second level, water and treats, third level food and mealworms.
Taking pictures of fast moving nocturnal hedgies is very hard.. Sham was out running around but when I went to get the camera.. he had other ideas!
AH.. she has the camera now.. time to run back into my bed!!
Whats this a smell, treats???? Will I come out!!???
Maybe.. here I come....
maybe not.. she still has the camera out!!
STOP with the pictures, Already!!
