Hi, my name is Dawson, although I have had others in the past 18 years.. no one knows (not even myself) how I ended up on a busy downtown street alone, thin and in rather bad shape. I was brought in by some people to the "Humane Society" where I spent 4 day, but no one who knew me can to get me.. then Siobhan took me a home and I started my new life here.
I wasn't unhappy at the shelter, but after the 4 day hotel stay, I was ready to go home with my new lady friend...to my horror I discovered she had other cats!!! This didn't look good (of course we all have come to an understanding now..but back then!), my first reaction was to hiss and growl, which unset my human friend. She put me in a large hotel room then the one I had been staying at where I could see the other cats and get to know them. While I was always happy to see the people, I gave a warning to any of those other cats...after all I should be the center of attention!!!!
Soon I meet John (my human dad) who is also great.. add a little charm and some purring and you can win these silly humans over easy!!
It took me some time to come to an understanding with the other cats, now we generaly go our own way and don't bother eachother at all. I now have full access to the whole house and am no longer a 'guest' but full member of the family (which unfortunitaly includes those dreaded annual vet visits! don't get me wrong, I love the vets [exspeclay since they are lady vets ;)] but the needles I could do without!).
I have been living her now for about a year. Before I was a street cat, I don't recall much of that life these days, I lived outside in the cold, wet and hot weather, was rather shaddy looking and well...I'd rather think about the good life I have now....I get 2 meals a day and always have dry food to munch on, pleanty of freash water (the bowls are great, but that funny white fountine toliet they always run me away from is the best!!) what more can an old guy like me ask for???!!

Aug.21.01 Not too long ago a new 'guest' came to visit, she stays
in the hotel room where the computer is. Her name is Gina and she is a little bit growly.. but cute! (ya..I like younger lady cats too). She will be staying with us till she is well enough to go to her own home.
Mom and Dad often have guest cats, they stay will they are well or till they find a home of thier own.. a year ago this would have bothered me but now I take it all in stride, I even found that the new cat in the house, Marian isn't so bad after all!!
