What I've Written (published that is)..... Bad Lands (Co-written with Laura J. Underwood) from Five-Star Mysteries (a division of Techno Books); and Sword Masters, my first full-length fantasy novel, published by Dragon Moon Publishing out of Canada.  Queen of Denial, (introduction by Lynn Abbey); Recycled, (the sequel to Queen, introduction by Michael Sheard); Chains of Freedom, (introduction by C.J. Cherryh); Chains of Destruction, (introduction by Claudia Christian); and Strange Robby... all originally published by Meisha Merlin Publishing, which has since gone out of business.  The Host Series: The Host, Fright Eater, and Gang Approval... Vampires with several twists; The Boat Man... a novella that explores what might happen after 2030, when over 50% of the population is over 65; The Bubba Chronicles... a collection of my short stories featuring -- you got it -- BUBBAS; Fire & Ice... a futuristic sci/fi / police proceedural / mystery (Oh, just read it!); Hammer Town... set in a future created by corporate take-overs, plague and computization, where a group of "fanatics" have decided to live without machines and one of their folk-heros is -- ironically -- a female cyborg police agent; Reruns... a book for anyone who ever wanted to be a super hero; and MATERIAL THINGS, a chapbook that deals with mysteries and ghosts and madness, oh my!

(NOTE - Reruns is not for the radically right-winged -- actually, very little that I write would appeal to the radically right-winged).

All titles available from Amazon.com, from me, or visit the Yard Dog Press web site.

I also have several short stories in anthologies like Sword & Sorceress 16, Such A Pretty Face, the new THIEVES' WORLD anthologies Turning Points and Enemies of Fortune, Ester Friesner's The Chick's in the Mail, The Anthology at the End of the Universe from Benbella Publishing, and Haunted Hearths from Lethe Press, just to name a few.

Check out MY BOOKS for cover images and ordering information on all my titles.

Brand New and/or Upcoming Titles.....   Baen Books has just released all five of my Meisha Merlin titles as ebooks, which is great news.  Better than that, though, they are also releasing the THIRD CHAINS BOOK -- CHAINS OF REDEMPTION as an ebook this summer (2008).  AND ...   Yard Dog Press has cut a deal with Baen to allow YDP to print a limited trade paperback run.  It's due out by June 1st if all goes well with the cover -- which will be the one originally created for the book by Charles Keegan (the same artist who created the first two covers.  Watch here and Yard Dog Press for news of the release.

Radio interview...... Dragon Page did a radio interview with me at WesterCon in Phoenix, Arizona, in July of 2004.  The CD of the show is available from them for only $2.99.  If you want to hear me talk about myself, my writing, and my company, then check it out!

About me...... I write. If you really want to know more about me, then you have two choices. You can click here and see what I have to say about myself. Or you can click here and see what CJ Cherryh says about me. Since I'm helping C.J. sell her excess books, her opinion might be biased, but she writes a really neat bio!

About my Fan Club.... That's right!  People LOVE me!  Here's a link to my official fan club.  Based in Atlanta, Georgia, and founded by Joy Hatcher, it has grown to proportions that astound me.   Joy says it's because I'm such an awesome writer, but she can be really intimi... uh persuasive.  (That's why I love you best, Joy.)

Yard Dog Press..... In my spare time, I run a publishing company, primarily for books too risky for the New York publishing industry. Reasons vary. Buy our books. Support authors who take a chance. One of those authors, Brian A. Hopkins, won a Bram Stoker Award for BEST FIRST NOVEL for the title our press published -- The Licking Valley Coon Hunters Club -- a title no other house would touch because it wasn't "traditional."  Read about our press , visit our website and see our products, or look at our General Guidelines.

Write to me..... Order my books! Order CJ's! Get me some spare time! PLEASE!

Other Links..... Check out these links on the Yard Dog Press site.

Conventions I'm Attending..... If you're interested, you can also check out what conventions I'll be attending by clicking this link to the YDP "Links" page.  When you get there, either click on the "Conventions" bookmark or scroll down the page to the listing of conventions.
