An Anything Poem
I
sit in this chair -
With
nothing to say.
I
stare at the screen...
It
won’t go away.
I
look out the window -
The
same trees are there.
Traffic
zips by...
It
hasn’t a care.
What
is that sound?
Tick...tick...tick...tick...tock!
It’s
the incessant taunt -
Of
a mocking wall clock.
How
can I escape?
Oh,
where is the key?
Write
an anything poem -
And
then I’ll be free.
A
headace is coming.
My
brain won’t comply.
An
anything poem...
I
wish...with a sigh.
