| Presentation of Photographic Portfolio 50 points You will work with your group to prepare and present a portfolio of your own original photographs to demonstrate the elements of design, lighting and aesthetics. Each group member will be responsible for 3 of the elements #1 - #9, and 1 example of an aesthetic photograph, for a total of 4 photographs per person and 12 per group. Photographs must be in black and white. You will create a PowerPoint presentation from your portfolio of photographs and present it to the class. Each group member must participate in the visual and oral presentation of the group's PowerPoint portfolio. Please use this rubric as a checklist as you prepare your presentation. Introduction page with the names of the members in your group, name of the course, date, and a brief summary of the goals of the project. 5 points You will prepare one slide to demonstrate each of the design elements listed below : Each group member is responsible for 3 of the elements #1 - 9 and one of the aesthetics. Each slide will be worth 2.5 points. Each slide must contain the following: 1 point - copy and paste the photograph 1 point - identify and describe the design element .5 point - properly identify the artist, , medium, date and title of the photograph. 30 points 1. Use of space - the photographer zooms in on the subject and makes all parts of the page interesting. 2. Foreground, Midground, Background The page is divided into 3 parts. 3. Left, Center, Right The page is divided into 3 parts. 4. Triangle Composition Arrangement of three objects makes the viewer's eye move around the page. 5. Radial Symmetry The photograph is balanced around a central point. 6. Axial Symmetry The photograph is balanced from side to side along an axis. 7. Focal Point The photographer clearly draws the viewer's eye to one part of the photograph. 8. Contrast The photographer uses highlights and shadows to create a dramatic effect. 9. Subtle Lighting The photographer uses lighting to create a mood or feeling. 10. Aesthetics The photograph is interesting, entertaining or evokes the viewer's emotion. 11.
