The Bible and Bible Versions
In the Christian community there are issues which arise that cause controversy and conflict among Christians. One such issue concerns the King James Version, which some have claimed to be the "only" correct and God-appointed version of the English Bible. In attempting to briefly deal with this claim, it is hoped that you, the reader, will have the opportunity to 1) gain a greater appreciation for God and His word (the Bible); 2) become more knowledgeable of how we got the Bible; 3) have a better understanding of the modern Bible translations; and 4) be confident in using other Bible translations without feeling like they are corrupt.

But God Demonstrated His Love to You
Why do so many Christians feel as if God doesn't love them? Is it possible that some feel this way as a result of circumstances in life that make them question God's love? If God loves me and is committed to my well being as His child, surely He wouldn't let this or that happen. Does the circumstances you face in life make you question God's love for you?

But You Shall Receive Power
There is power needed to be a witness for Christ. There is power needed to be an effective member of Gods family. There is power needed to live victoriously over sin and the devil. Since the Christian life is a supernatural life, it requires supernatural power to live it successfully. Are you experiencing the supernatural power of God to live your Christian life, successfully?

Can I Forgive Myself?
Can you forgive yourself? On what basis? Have you done anything that makes you worthy of forgiving yourself? Are you putting yourself in a higher position than God and giving yourself the authority to forgive yourself? You may not be consciously thinking that way, but when you bypass Gods promise of forgiveness and demand your own, you are competing with Gods authority. Besides, thats why so many people struggle to forgive themselves, they discover their self-forgiveness to be inadequate and unreliable.

Can You Be Sure of Your Salvation?
One of the great arguments among Christians through the years has centered on the question of whether or not Christians can lose their salvation. The Bible seems to teach us that we can be sure and secure in our eternal salvation. "These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may KNOW that you have eternal life." (I John 5:13)

Why, then, are there arguments about "eternal security?" Why is the question often raised, "Can a person lose their salvation?" In other words, can a born-again believer in Jesus Christ lose their position as a child of God and be eternally lost?

Forgiveness
Forgiveness is the foundation of the Christian life. It is the principle through which God has extended His love to us in order that we can come to Him and continually be assured of His acceptance of us. It is the principle by which we can extend His love to others by dismissing their debt against us, as God did for us. "And forgive us our debts (trespasses), as we also have forgiven our debtors (those who trespass against us)." (Matthew 6:12) An understanding of forgiveness and experiencing the reality of forgiveness will set you free to live the Christian life to the fullest. Jesus said, "You shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

Get Out of the "Rut" and Into the "Groove"!
The Apostle Paul said, "Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come," (II Corinthians 5:17) The Christian life is a life of new beginnings, transformation, and change. We are forgiven of our past and set-apart as a new person in Christ. A spiritual work of God's Holy Spirit has begun in our hearts and minds and we begin to act differently. However, change is not easy, nor automatic in every area of our Christian life. Some of the "old things" seemed to drop off immediately, while others seem to take more time and effort to get free of. The Apostle Paul knew it would take a change in our habits of thinking and acting to bring about change in our life. That is why he said to "discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness" (I Timothy 4:76). Get out of the "rut" and into the "groove."

The Gift of Speaking in Tongues
The purpose of this tract is to provide Biblical truth about speaking in tongues that can help you understand the value and operation of this special gift from God. Obviously, we believe that the gift of speaking in tongues is for God's people today and a valuable gift in the church. We want to encourage you to be open to the truth about speaking in tongues, seek to understand its value and purpose, and experience its blessing in your own Christian life.

Gods Plan of Salvation For You
Salvation or saved is expressed in three different ways in the Bible: past, present, and future. God has saved you, past tense. God is saving you now, present tense. God will save you for all eternity, future tense. Many Christians only think of salvation as a one-time experience by trusting Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior. Though you begin your Christian life through this initial salvation experience, Gods plan of salvation is an ongoing process so that you can know and experience all that He intended for you in your new life. He wants you to know that His "saving" power is available to you NOW and in the FUTURE. You are invited to discover God's full provision for you salvation.

Guard Your Christian Life
Spiritual warfare is a common occurrence in your Christian life. Daily, you will face temptations and spiritual attacks from your enemy, Satan. You can expect him to wage war against you through tempting thoughts, through the world around you, and through non-Christian people whom he can influence. But have you considered the possibility of Satan influencing other Christians to deceive or hinder your Christian life? In wartime, there are instances when soldiers of the same army become victims by being fired upon by their own men. This is called being a victim of "friendly fire." Unfortunately, this can be true in the Christian life. Intentionally or unintentionally, some Christians can be so misdirected by their experiences, ministries, or doctrines, that they become tools of the enemy to deceive and wound other Christians.

Have You Been Baptized Since You Believed?
Though water baptism is generally understood to be a declaration of faith in Christ, it is also a picture for the believer of what God has done for them. There are at least three spiritual truths pictured for the Christian which are confirmed through the experience of water baptism. These truths are important for the success of your Christian life. That is why God wants you to establish these truths with a memorable, significant experience like water baptism.

Heaven Cant Wait
Heaven must be a "spiritual reality" for every Christian, for YOU! The more this truth becomes real in your Christian life, the greater be your confidence, courage, hope, and spiritual maturity. Heaven is the foundation for your eternal hope and the place where you will spend eternity. It is the dwelling place of Father God, of Christ, of the angels, and the seat of Gods kingdom in the universe. The more you develop an understanding of Heaven and think about it, the more your faith will be established in this important truth. It will become a spiritual reality that will help determine how you will live your Christian life. We must not allow Heaven to be only a comforting thought, just another Christian doctrine, or a consolation prize after this life is over. Don't put off developing this important truth in your Christian life - Heaven Can't Wait!

Heaven or Hell?
The issue of Heaven and Hell is one of the most explosive and challenging thoughts that a person will face in their life. Death comes to everyone! Is there life beyond the grave? Though other religions have developed beliefs about a heaven and a hell, Jesus Christ conquered death through His resurrection and proved to be the only reliable authority on life after death. As the resurrected Lord and Son of God, Jesus taught that there were only two eternal destinations for mankind: Heaven and Hell. On the authority of Jesus Christ and Gods word contained in the Bible, you can be sure that there is a Heaven and a Hell.

How Much Does God Love You?
You are invited to discover God's wonderful plan of salvation. Salvation is God's way for you to come to know Him and to experience the life He wants you to have as His child. No matter how religious you are, how good you may be, or how bad you have been, God invites you to come to Him and discover His plan for your life. His plan of salvation is explained in the Bible, which is Gods written word to you. Will you receive his message of salvation and be saved?

Jesus is Coming!
Jesus and His Apostles said He would come again. Do you believe it? There are many Christians who have been taught about the second coming of Jesus and have looked forward to His return. However, many churches have failed to teach the coming of Jesus because they claim it is difficult to understand, controversial, and not practical to Christianity today. Like the majority of our society today, many church people can view the coming of Jesus as more of a science fiction plot in a movie than a real event. Also, there have been doubts raised through the years because Jesus did not come back when some people predicted He would. Whatever maybe your background, it is important for you to believe Jesus is coming again; understand why He is coming; consider the signs of His coming; and be ready.

Keeping Your Spiritual Balance
Are you promoting destructive criticism among God's people? Are you listening to those who are and contributing to that which hurts the work of God? Do you find yourself becoming critical, exclusive in your thinking, and caught up in a doctrinal "witch-hunt?" Are you promoting true Christian unity among believers or are you helping to divide Gods people with suspicion and distrust? Are you a positive influence for Christ in your local church and with other Christian friends?

Robot or Rebel
"Why did God let this or that happen to me?" Or, "Why doesn't God do something about the evil in the world?" When people ask those questions they fail to understand that God would have to violate the free will of others by preventing them from doing evil. They fail to understand that they themselves would need to be forced by God and programmed to do the same. This would make them "robots" instead of humans with free will. By making us robots, God could have prevented us from hurting one another and eliminating evil in the world. Fortunately, God did not make us "robots." He created man in His image, with the ability to know good and evil and the capacity to choose. Aren't you glad? Because God gave the human race free will, people have the capacity to be and do what they want. Unfortunately, mankind has chosen most often to make choices that harm and destroy others around them.

Seeing God as a Loving Father and Spiritual Parent
Your spiritual picture or image of God affects your relationship with Him and your ability to trust Him in your Christian life. Thats why it is so important that your view of God is a healthy one, based upon the truth about God in the Bible. God wants His children to know Him for who He really is - as a loving Father and a "responsible" spiritual Parent. Do you have a healthy picture of God as the basis for your Christian life???

What Are You Worth?
One of the most common problems in our society today is low self-esteem or self-worth. It would be safe to say that most people struggle with it and many are crippled by it. This problem also affects Christians and the Christian church. Becoming a Christian does not automatically make a person realize their spiritual worth in God or overcome their feelings of low self-worth. A lack of spiritual worth in the Christians life has limited personal spiritual growth and prevented participation in God's work. Does your Christian life suffer from this problem?

Why Jesus?
There is no other way, but Jesus! God has provided no other way for you to come to Him and understand His plan, except through Jesus. Will you come to God, God's way? Will you receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior?

Your Relationship with God
Whether you have been a Christian for many years or have recently become a Christian, your relationship with God must become the foundation for our Christian life. God called us to Himself in order to have a close and ever-growing relationship with Him as His children. He created us for fellowship. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will fellowship with him and He with me. (Revelation 3:20) This is the heart of God for His people and His church.
