Infant wear comes to Sans Peur Clothing
We are opening up our clothing line to include the littlest
ones in our family. Our documentation on the styles and
cloth can be verified through the following sources:
"The History of Costume" "Memoirs of a Highland Lady"
and
"Rural Pennsylvania Duetch Clothing"

Don't be fooled by our models, these outfits are great
for the Rendezvous and
Re-inactment families to keep even the
smallest warm, dry, and correct
for the time period of 1750 to 1840
As you know boys and girls are dressed alike until the boys
give up skirts and dress in breeches sometime between the ages
of three and seven. After the boys are "breeched," boys and girls
dress to resemble their elders. However, first you need to
dress
the children under three.
Babies and young children often wear only a shift here in
the country. Shifts can be made easily, and they wash well and
often. They are made like a woman's shift with smaller
dimensions.
