Hello to all family history web crawlers who visit this site My name is Lyn Forde and I am the researcher and editor of the "South Creek Registers" These Registers are published books on the following information:- Births, Deaths, Burials and Marriages from the parish registers of the St Marys Magdalene Church of England (Anglican) Church at St Marys - New South Wales, Australia. Also published in 1997 - "Timeless Heroes" a book about the Volunteer Soldiers who enlisted from the St Marys area in World War 1 (1914-1918) and contains information on the soldier and his family - (research still ongoing) If you have an interest in a family who resided in St Marys - please email me and I will try to help with your research. [email protected] Just some background information about myself - I have been doing family and local research for about 21 years now and have a connection with the St Marys area by birth - my original ancestor was a James Hackett who came to Australia on a convict ship in 1826 for life - convicted of horse stealing in Wales. I was secretary to the first St Marys Historical Society for many years and I have gathered loads of information and photos about the history of St Marys and its inhabitants from the very early days up until the early 1900's. |
