The Brobbel name has been found in Vlaardingen, Holland for centuries.  I have been blessed enough to have found my 5 times great grandparents, thanks to a very kind and helpful contact in Netherlands.

Ary BROBBEL married Johanna van GIJN about 1753

Jacob BROBBEL married Liedewij VISSER¹ about 1800

Arie BROBBEL married Neeltje NOORDHOEK² about 1827

Arie and Neeltje had 2 sons, Jacob and Dirk.  Jacob died at sea, aged 29.  Dirk migrated to Australia aged 17, married and had 6 children.  

Dirk BROBBEL married Margaret FINLAYSON in 1855 in South Australia.

George Albert BROBBLE married Lydia DANCE in 1895 in South Australia.

Lila Finlayson Harriet BROBBLE married David George SUTHERLAND in 1924 in Broken Hill, NSW, Australia

Lila and David are my grandparents

¹   The parents of Liedewij VISSER are Hubregt VISSER and Cornelia de GRAFF.

²   The parents of Neeltje NOORDHOEK are Dirk Cornelis NOORDHOEK and Agatha van LEUVEN³.

³Agatha's parents are Barend van LEUVEN and Elisabeth van WISSENBURG.  Agatha's siblings are Neeltje, Hendrik Jacobus, Jacobus and Huibregt
