The barbaric locals test this priests faith and inadvertently push him along the spiritual journey we are all meant for yet few take up with any earnestness! While many will shy from this mighty novel, they will be the same who shy from the Cross of Christ! This is what Christian SF is meant to be!! I offer my highest recommendation!

THE STORY:

Two years prior to Father Andrew's arrival, his predecessor, Father Menlo, disappeared under mysterious circumstances. But now, a Mautlaut runner has brought a message from Lord Banyon - written in faultless English. Could Father Menlo still be alive?
But as Father Andrew begins to solve the baffling disappearance of his predecessor, he is haunted by yet another personal mystery. In discovering an ancient Cumaron text in a long forgotten library at Drumwall, Father Andrew begins experiencing visions. Father Andrew Zamora: A Carmelite priest newly assigned to the mining colony's Catholic parish at Drumwall Fortress on the planet of Cumaro, Father Andrew discovers an ancient library and a mysterious cistern entrance to subterranean caverns, and in so doing suffers to the same terrible fate of that of his predecessor.
Randall: Pilot for the mining colony at Drumwall, he befriends Father Zamora, but their friendship is not all it seems.
Gilead: Midwife of the Mautlaut tribe, her haunting beauty captivates many, but her heart belongs to only one man.
Lord Banyon: Tribal chieftain of the Mautlaut, his plans to outmaneuver the Company and its ill intentions threaten a death-blow to the earth-systems colony at Drumwall.
MEET THE AUTHOR:
Lynden Rodriguez is a Secretary at Children's Services in San Bernardino, California. She is also a Third Order Carmelite, whose Community meets at El Carmelo Retreat House in Redlands, California. She is a parishioner at Our Lady of the Assumption in San Bernardino, California. Mrs. Rodriguez has been married for 21 years and is the mother of four children.
Mrs. Rodriguez's began her writing career 38 years ago, beginning with poetry and short stories. Several of her poems have been published, as well as editorials. For eight years she was the Chief Editor of the Moot Point, a Children's Services newsletter. She also makes occasional writing contributions to the Human Services Connection, a San Bernardino Human Social Services newsletter.
