Coloured Drawings (Page 2 of 4)

These pieces represent something of a change in direction from the card-size compositions I hade been making earlier, I really wanted to explore what could be done with his media in far greater deph than before. These pictures, then, were begun in February 2005 to the present date. Once again, they are all more or less A4 in size and are mixed-media pieces, using stiff paper as a base, oil and water based paints, ink, metallic pens and holographic paper. Other kinds of coloured paper were also used. These pieces have been completed as a series, so that several are worked on together at the same time. As with all my work, they were guided by inner psychic processes and it is an important facet of that, that so many layers and textures are superimposed on top of each other.
