| This is Maggie T. She was named after Lady Maragret Thatcher. Maggie adopted me in 1992 after she had kittens under my neighbor's porch. I wanted one of her kittens, but she wanted me and she won out in the end. I named her after Lady Thatcher because I had named her kittens Socrates, Arsitotle, Confucious and Monet. I tried to think of a woman who could give birth to such greats. The only names that came to mind were Golda Meir and Lady Thatcher. Since Maggie is a British Shorthair, Lady Thatcher it was.
