Joee DeSimone is a Freestyle/pop sensation that has been hitting the airwaves since the mid nineties. This twenty five year old star is constantly attracting swarms of fans all over Canada.
Joee has been singing, performing and writing music since he was nine years old. He was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Joee started off his musical career by performing with several local bands and then ventured into his recording career with and independent record label in Canada. His performances on the TV show Star Search gave him exposure at a very early age. That same year, Joee had also won first prize in an artist/song writing competition in Toronto.
In 1995 he released his remake of Died in your arms, and it made Billboard's Hot 100 Singles chart. This made Joee the first Canadian pop star to break into the US charts.
Joee's success continued to build and soon was performing throughout Canada and the US with major recording stars including Real McCoy, Corona and Lil Suzy. In the summer of '95, Joee performed in a concert for over 30,000 fans in San Antonio, Texas. Canadian concerts include, Hot Energy Rush and Hot Rush. In addition, Joee has performed on television on numerous occasions, including guest appearances on Much Music, Musique Plua and Winterlude '98.
Joee's latest freestyle single is Angel. It's been Canada's number one hit song for over three months now. It has been flowing through the club scene and pumping on the radios. Joee had also recieved a Juno nomination in 1998 for this song.
Joee continues to work hard and he definately is a crowd pleaser! He has been diligently working on his latest release Hard to Say. So far it's been getting rave reviews and should be really good. Joee DeSimone, one of Canada's shining stars! |
