Emanuel was born in a large city where various cultures influenced his everyday life. In a big city with a large population, it's not easy to standout as a star. But he had a goal and was on a mission. He reallr wanted to be a star and a success. He comes from Bronx, New York and grew up in a large Latino community. He was influences by salsa, merengue, and various musical styles from the Domenican Republican. Emanuel, born and raised in Puerto Rico, first learned the ropes of the industry in the Latin Dance Genre as did other singers such as Marc Anthony, Lisete Melendez and George Lamond.
In the early 90's when he first started, Latin Dance was also called "Freestyle" and had startyed working along side artists such as TKA, La India, Tony Moran, Lil Suzy, Stevie B and Cynthia, just to name a few... Emanuel perfected his vocals along with the help of the legendary Tito Puente, who assisted him in mastering his work. Tito Puento was also very talented and enjoyed putting emotion in his music, and was one of the most elements that Emanuel had acquired from his protege.
Living in the Bronx, Emanuel would listen to Eddie Palmieri, Hector Lavoe, and Frankie Ruiz being played from the apartments above him. As a child Emanuel would entertain his family and neighbours. In his teens he decided that it was time that he would branch out into the world of Freestyle. He decided that he would use the wordeful and amazing genre to express himself. His career choice would enable him to sing and play alongside the biggest names in the
Latino community. Artists such as Tito Puente, El Gran
Combo, Jerry Riveria, Lisette Melendez, Jessica, Marc
Anthony, Cybthia, La India, and George Lamond!
He truely is so talented and is amazing to see him
perform in concert. His shows are always full of
excitement and jam packed with many dancers or his
backing band!
He's young, he's beautiful and he has so much love for
the music. He's very positive and brings a fresh and
new look for Latin music. He truely is one of the best!
