/var/opt/SUNWsamfs - usual location for log files and queues.

# sam-fsd Check and report on the mcf file configuration and on daemon tracing, but do
not actually make any changes.
# archiver -lv Check
the archiver.cmd file and
report any errors, but do not actually make any changes
# showqueue -v -
shows all scan lists and the archiving queue.
# samfsinfo
<family set name> - the only
command that displays the DAU.
# samd config - Force sam-fsd and sam-archiverd to read configuration files. This must be run
any time a configuration file is created or changed.

samd start
Stop and restart sam-amld and
the other mass storage hardware management daemons. It is not necessary to run samd stop|start
unless you are setting up SAM-Remote or otherwise changing the configuration of
the tape library catalog. The samd start command must
be preceded by samd config
for any changes to take effect.
# samu - THE interactive administrative utility forr QFS, which contains lots of prompts and help pages.
# samcmd <command> - the static command line equivalent of samu.
