Requirements
1-You must have a minimum of 100 points in order to go. HOWEVER, if
you do not have enough pts, you can try to make it up by going to AT
LEAST TWO ACTIVITIES THIS MONTH. 2Lunchcarts =1 activity. You may
only do a max. of 2 lunch carts. The other activity must be something
else. The point cutoff day will be MONDAY, FEB. 2.
2-The amount of pts will also determine how much you need to pay for
convention. Obviously, the more pts you have, the less you will have
to pay. Kiwanis and Key Club will be paying for the parts you don't
pay.
3-You must also sell two bags of candy in order to go to convention.
Any additional bags after the required two will allow you to get $5
refund back after convention.
Dates:
1/28- Confirmation meeting. If you say you are going to go and end up not going, you will have to pay for the trip anyways, so PLEASE make sure you can go.
2/2- Point cutoff FINAL DAY
2/4- Amount needed to pay for convention will be announced.
2/11-THE FIRST FOUR PAGES OF THE CONVENTION PACKET IS DUE!!! also,
money is due in check form. please make sure to come to this meeting
as well. FINAL DAY TO TURN IN EVERYTHING.
Dress Code
1/21- Choose Roomates. You will write out your first five
choices.
Wear divisional t-shirts, and anything red that you can find. No tank tops or tube tops, and shorts must be of the required length.
Men: Dress shirt, dress pants, tie, and dress shoes. Suits are recommended but not required.
Women: Dresses and suits recommended. Nice pants and blouses are ok. Skirts must be the required length.
Men: Khakis are allowed, but no jeans. Dress shirts, dress jackets, sweaters, or sweater vests are ok. Dress shoes required.
Women: Nice pants like khakies are allowed, as well as skirts.
Items to Bring
Required
1. Clothes: 1 business formal, 1 business casual, 1 casual, sleepwear, divisional t-Shirt.
2. Extra Nylons (For girls)
4. Medical release form copies (Emily has them)
5. Hotel registration confirmation (Allen has them)
6. Personal hygiene materials.
7. Alarm clock
8. Tissues, Tylenol, cough drops.
Optional
1. Cell phones and pagers for contacting people
2. Spirit items
3. Spending money for extra food, souvenirs, etc.
4. Camera and extra film (There will be a lot of chances to take photos, so bring lots of film!)
5. Donations for Walk for Life
