The first song I heard from him was "Lan Tian" (Blue Sky). I cannot help saying that the solid husky voice in that song certainly does not tally with the young boyish appearance in his album cover. By just looking at the album cover, one could have been duped into thinking this guy is just another bloke on the block trying to have his luck in the idol music industry. U are wrong! This guys composes his own songs. He even composes the song "Di Xia Tie" for the movie.
"Lan Tian" (Blue Sky), no doubt, shows off YiDa skills in composing songs. One might wonder what this guy has anything to do with Yanzi??? No gift for guessing the right answer. YiDa comes from Singapore as well.
Track 4 - "Xian Shang You Si" is my favourite rock track in this album. Another good track is track no. 7. It drives me to think that YiDa could be the "Coldplay of Singapore". Other recommended tracks are Track 10 - "Go Away" and Track 11.
I could only say this album could be better. Nevertheless, this album is a good try for a start.
