I first heard of their song "A curse on u and your family" in the night market "pasar malam". And I have to admit, their lyrics are quite "vulgar". But Davy has his own explaination. Swearing is part of the HK chinese culture, he said during an interview with the Star newspapers. And LMF is a reflection of that culture.

With their controversial-laden lyrics, this HK hip-hop band surely don't see eye to eye with the HK media, which only branded them as a "foul -mouthed band". Is that so? Their song "Zhai" literally translated as "Debts" is just splendid. The lyrics is so meaningful.

And the accusation is totally unfair for this group of talented people. Cos LMF is the only new-found solace, churning out from HK since the demise of Beyond in the rock era. Even Paul of Beyond collaborates with them on some songs.

When they released their EP in 1999, mainstream composer Mark Lui (who has worked with singers like Leon Lai) told them Canto hip- hop would not work. And of course, LMF proved Lui was wrong.

It was reported that LMF assaulted a fan some time ago. LMF defended that they did not retaliate the dunken guy who shouted abusive words at them.

Besides that, they were alleged to have copied a Korean song and gave to Sammi Cheng. But does a high -profile songwriter and producer need to be a copy-cat. U'll be the judge.

(some of the excerpts above are taken from the Star Newspaper interview with LMF on Oct 26, 2001)

My 5  favourite LMF's songs:
1) Yan Zha  (Scum) (touches on the isssue of sexual abuse)
2) Cow Dung
3) 1127 (a tribute to Bruce Lee. The title of the song is the birthday of Bruce Lee. )
4) Ungrateful Youth (on triad)
5) A Curse on U and Your family (they dedicated this song to the HK media, urging them to be more professional in their write-ups)
