This is ME!
TAIWAN
1) Jay Chou (I never like R&B and I find it hard to accept people's view defining his type of music as R&B)
2) May Day (personally, I think Ah Xin is the "Wong Ka Kui" of Taiwan!)
3) Zhang Zhen Yue (his words : those of u who are here. U don't have to like me. Cos I am a very terrible person. As long as u like my music, that's enough!)
4) Shino (in my opinion, she's the female who sings rock songs the best . But of course, u don't have to agree with me.)
5) Faith Yang (my friend likes her haunting voice)
6) Peggy Hsu (stunt by her splendidly well composed songs in her first album "Ballons")
7) Cheer Chen Qi Zhen (Her song "Tang Zhai Ni De Yi Gui" is a gem! I was hook on this song for quite some time)
8) Bibi Chao Zhi Bi (not much known about her)
HONG KONG
1) Beyond (Sad to say, the death of Wong Ka Kui marks the death of rock era in HK. Thereafter, the 3 member band only managed to come out with 2 decent albums.)
2) Eason Chan (his vocal is one of the best in the Cantonese music industry. But, my friend find his face too cocky that she doesn''t want to listen to his songs. Phew!!! What a waste!)
3) LMF (my first taste of Chinese hip hop and I have to say they have the umph.... , energy and creativity, especially with their song "Zhai", literally translated as "Debts".)
4) Candy Lo (the best female singer-songwriter in HK, producing hits like "Better Break Up" and "Rubbish".)
5) Nicholas Tze (branded as the bad boy who drives fast cars by the media. I just hope the media would put more emphasis to his music rather than his love life.)
JAPAN
1) Dragon Ash (love their earlier works in "The Day Dragged On" album, "Public Garden" and "MUstang")
2) Larc' en Ciel (up to right now, I still wonder how to pronouce their name correctly.)
3) Do As Infinity (love their first album "Break of Dawn", especially the song "Raven")
4) Luna Sea ("4.oopm" and "tonight" is my favourite tracks here.)
5) Brilliant Green ( teenage pop rock, that's what I would define their music.)
MALAYSIA
1)Ah Niu (witty lyrics plus simple folk melodies)
2)OAG (one of the best rock band in Malaysia.)
3)Penny Dai (her own song composition talent deserves merit)
SINGAPORE
1)Yanzi (one of the best female vocalist in town)
THAI
1)Pru (my first taste of Thai music. Noi really has a niche in composing slow rock songs)
2)Taxi (my second taste of Thai music. Love their mostly fast pace songs)
3) Silly Fools (this band mystifies me with their rocking style! The coolest Thai rock band I have ever come across)
Ouotes:
Without music, it's like living in the desert without water.
It's rather scarry to imagine ONE day when there's no music.
When the only sound you could hear was the blasts of bomb.
Support music and support peace.
Music = Peace.
