LMF- Finalazy (Released on 15 August 2003)

Here they are again, back with another explosive album! The only HK band that I salute besides Beyond. Other than that, that is nothing much in the HK music scene which would catch your attention. The band is always being criticized by the media for their use of ruthless foul language. But, there are always 2 ways of looking at a coin. Or you can say they are sincere in merely highlighting the problems of the society by expressing their opinion and dissatisfaction through their straightforward lyrics. And how many HK artiste really dare do that? That is precisely my way of looking at the perspective.
My favourite song here is track no. 1. If I am not wrong, the lyrics touches on the degrading standard of the music industry. Part of the lines reads:"Some play music like video game, some like to imitate, HK does not have music, only entertainment, the idols are ???, but the fans are nevertheless receptive to that, the standard is terrible, you do not know how to compose, please don't be so "action"!" The reviewer here totally agrees!
The song also questions the media. The lyrics read: "Are a few words of foul language will lead your son to notorious nature? Then why even when I swear a bit, I still cannot rectify the problems of the society? The society is full of problems and it is not up to us to control. XXX. I do not need to look up to u. To say that we "teach" children to be naughty, is all because of, u guys, do not understand us."
Regarding this, the reviewer is all for LMF opinion. I listen to LMF's music. But did I go "BAD" because of that? Absolutely no! If we are "BAD, we are "BAD". And if we are "GOOD", we are "GOOD". I do not believe a few words of foul language in music will lead us to become naughty.
Song no. 2 "Fly", touches on the issue of unemployment. "Now there's no such thing as principle, as long as u got a job and work 9am-11pm, really don't know for what, employers in 2003 are stingy, who cares if u are an undergraduate, a job with thousand salary attracts a thousand applicants......"
Third track "WTF", is another gem. Filled with political overtones, it talks about HK current situation with guts. Part of the lines read: "I am a MC. My mike is to talk about the problems of the society. Please do not ignore my presence. If u cannot bear it, u should step down. But u just don't leave....".
Verdict: For LMF fans, grab the album fast.
