Faith Yang - Ought To (2001)
Ratings: ****4
The first thing that caught my attention in this album was Faith Yang's English song "Surrender". One word only. Brilliant! Her eerie voice throughout the song is simply irresistible. And the rhythm of the guitar sails out like a gigantic Titanic breeze, so memorable and melodic. Noticeably also, Faith has toned down her anger voice in this album. Her other songs like "Queen", "Bu De Bu" and "Piao Zhe" will nevertheless comfirm your trust in her music.
Faith Yang - Silence (1999)

My friend recorded the CD into cassette and gave the cassette to me. And that was how I was introduced to this "Alanis Morrisette" of Taiwan. At that time, "Silence" MTV was repeatedly shown on TV. To me, the song that stands out from the rest in this album is "Monster". Thumbs up for this beautiful rock song.
