Do As Infinity- Deep Forest (3rd album)

Ratings: ****4

Track 6 "Kouzoikaku" is the song that mesmerize me the most in this album. Trumpets, bass and drums all go out in full force to generate the beautiful noise of rock. Closing in with the last track here is "Signal", a remix version. A few nice tracks located in this album are Tooku Made, Tsubasa no Keikaku and Fukai Mori. Overall, a better effort than the sophomore album.

Do As Infinity- New World (2nd album)

Ratings: ***3

Track 11 "Summer Days" gotta be DAI biggest breakthrough in composing various type of songs. I guess it must be Tomiko's first experience with singing punk rock. I like this song particularly because it exudes a burst of youthful energy and confidence, exactly like the sunshine in summer. Another good track here is "New World". And that's all. I found other songs in this album too "pop" in nature for me to translate them into rock music. Not a good recommendation album for non-DAI fans.

Do As Infinity- Break of Dawn (1st album)

Ratings:*****5

This album has a great effect on my perception of the various types of rock music. My friend introduced me to this band, giving me a DAI cassette. Initially I found DAI stuff too noisy, high pitch and sharp. But after a few times listening, I started to like their melody. My favourite song is Raven. Tomiko's voice starts out softly at first and then beginning to build up in the middle and finally explodes aggressively. There are many other good songs in this album. To name a few are "Painful", "Tangerine Dream", "Stand on the Hill", "Another" and "Oasis". This is ceratainly an album to keep. No deny that DAI is one of my favourite Japanese female vocalist rock band besides "Brilliant Green".
