In John 10:10, we are told, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I AM come that they might have Life, and that they might have it more abundantly." KJV

Satan is very tricky when it comes to deceiving God's children. Often, he will use play on words and insert false meanings into our mind. The phrase, "I am in love," is a prime example of his sneaky way. When we hear someone say those words, the first thing that pops into our minds is: They found a boyfriend or a girlfriend that they either have or wish to become intimate with. Why do we think this way? Because most of us are brought up to believe being "in love" and "just loving" a person are two different types of love. We are tricked into thinking love has different meanings when applied to people in our daily lives.

Example: For a woman to be "in love" with her father and to only "love" her husband would totally be considered backward in today's worldly standards. The same applies to men. We can love our Mothers and sisters more than anyone else in the world. But, we are to be "in love" only with our wives. And, those of us that think in those terms are being totally deceived by satan!

The devil wants us all to think of love in those terms. Why? Because it keeps us from knowing what, or rather, Who Love truly is. "God is Love!"

1John 4:16 says: "And we have known and believed the Love that God hath to us. God is Love; and he that dwelleth in Love dwelleth in God, and God in him." KJV

Since God is Love (Him being a Spirit), then Jesus is Love personified and the Holy Spirit gives us peace and comfort that can only be found in True Love.

So, when we tell someone, "I am in Love with you," our meaning should be, "I'm in God with you." Or, "We are both Christians." God is in us and we in Him. Don't let satan destroy you or those close to you with his deceit.

You can be in love with your Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters if you are all saved by God's grace and following the teaching of His Holy Word. Being in Love, is being in Christ Jesus!
