TRADING GUIDELINES
These guidelines are here to provide some
structure to this thing we call trading. No big deal, really,
just being a cool, honest trader and realizing that everyone else
wants the same things that you do: quality and fairness. You'll
always get these when trading with me. On with the show:
A few rules apply to every trade. The format-specific rules are farther down...
1. CONFIRM ALL TRADES BEFORE SENDING ANYTHING!!!
2. If you contact me, you'll have to send first. I will send your shows after I receive my shows from you. There are some exceptions to this rule, so let's discuss if this is an issue.
CDs
1. Live CDs should be burned in "Disc-At-Once" mode. If you have a show you want to trade and it is in "Track-At-Once" mode, please let me know. If you don't know what the hell I'm talking about, ASK ME!
2. Please use quality CDRs (Sony, Kodak, Mitsui), not the latest Best Buy special. I use Mitsui and Kodak Gold blanks. I will assume that you are not using cheap media. Please don't disappoint me!
3. I prefer not to send jewel cases, but slip cases work well for shipping.
4. Send in a padded container. Use bubble wrap, (clean) toilet paper, I don't care, just pad it!
5. DO NOT WRITE ON CDs!! This includes the ring around the middle. Use a post-it or something to identify what disc it is.
6. Setlists are very much appreciated and email is fine.
7. If you have the artwork, please share it. I prefer digital copies via email.
8. TELL ME IF THE CD CAME FROM MP3s!! This can have a major impact on the sound quality and tradability of a show, so TELL ME!!
Videos
1. NEW TAPES ONLY!!
2. Record in SP mode ONLY!!
3. Clean your VCR heads often (every 10-12 hours of play/record).
4. Do not write on the video or the sticky labels. I like to do this myself.
5. Put a small leader on the tape (10 seconds or so) before you start recording.
