CRASS SUCKS.

Here's why...

A. Back in the late seventies and early eighties they started a uncomprimising ploitical unfun version of punk. For instance Special Duties wrote the song Bullshit Crass because they thought that Crass were way to conservative and were taking fun out of punk.
B. They just suck musically, they sound like shit. Most punkk bands are minimally talented, but Crass take it to the extreme. They have some good songs, but I find the rest boring and uninteresting.
C. They attacked the easiest targets that almost never fought back. Like religion, the right wing, and white people. They missed targets like black racists and Islam while attacked punk protesters in the song white punks on hope.
D. In 78 when punk was being proclaimed as dead Crass further alienated it with their uncomprimising views.
E. They started the stupid uncomprimising D.I.Y ethic. Its not a bad idea, but the way Crass started hating every band on a major label was just dumb. For instance they attacked THe Clash, Sham 69 and others that were good enough to break the mold.
F. They just preached to the converted with the refusal to talk to anybody that wasnt already on their side.
G. The history of this band and Skredriver parrelels each. On differnet sides but scarily similair.
H. They split punks up, there were the pro-crass punks and the i don't give a shits. They used to be united then they spit up and in later years into even more sub genres.
I. They stated that punk was dead when the founding icons sold out. You can't state the death of a sub-culture when some leaders leave.
J. People wear Crass merchandise.

Now you fuckslobs can quit asking me why I don't like Crass.
