X-laws
The X-laws (soldados X in mexican version) are a group of people that follow a prophet girl (?) named Jeanne. They all hold some hating for Hao for any kind of reason (having killed family, friends or something). Lyserg from the first time he saw them wanted to know more about them because they had the same goal as him: to defeat Hao. He became even more interested after Yoh says that his goal ISN'T to defeat Hao.
When Lyserg joins them if just after Boris (the vampire) attacked. Marco kind of manipulated him to almost kill Horo-Horo when he was possesed. Lyserg was also stunned by the amazing power of the angels the X-laws have, and wanted to have that power too.
Marco keeps on with manipulating Lyserg on the sentimental way, saying things about his parents and the such, making Lyserg to feel more confortable. Lyserg gets convinced about this stuff and tries to make Yoh and his gumi to join the X-laws too, however if they refuse (he even says this) he'll have to kill them.
Using as a shield the fact that Hao himself gave to the Yoh gumi some of his power, the X-laws are convinced they are all in sin as Hao is and try to eliminate them, but soon they discover they're power isn't enough to stop the now strongest Yoh gumi....
Even more, later on, Lyserg attacks a group of Shamans and fails on killing them because of Yoh's advise and the friendship between them. He stopped Morphin and then blamed her, but Marco didn't believe that, hurting Lyserg by throwing at him the torture box where Iron Maiden Jeanne is in.
