Set during World War II, you control a squad of 4 soldiers. After a short but well executed briefing, you will equip your soldiers with weapons such as a pistol, knife, machine guns and everybody's favourite weapon - The sniper rifle.
What I particularly like about this game is its missions which are varied and fresh. Unlike other games of its ilk, Hidden & Dangerous has a very unique feature not seen in games released at that time. Some of the mentionable features include the ability to ride any vehicle and drive anywhere you like and picking up weapons from the Nazis.
But why only 3 1/2 stars, you say ? Well, although it is a very exciting game, it can sometimes be very annoying due to its serious bugs. You get not only the usual hangs but also your own men might die at any moment with no reason whatsoever.
(actually most of the time, they "sink"
to the ground). You'll also need a fast PC as some missions might be jerky and why only one save game slot ?
All in all, it is still worthwhile to spend time to play this game until the end. Lets hope that the sequel, which will br released soon can solve the problems found in the original.-LYK
