Who are you ? What is your gaming experience ? My name is LYK. I am just like you, a normal person who has a passion for playing computer games. My first experience of gaming was not on an IBM PC but on a Commodore 64. I can still remember those timeless classics such as Ikari Warriors, Pitstop II and Pipeline II. At this point, you might imagine me as a 40-plus, balding and lonely man, playing childish games. But in actual fact, I am just in my early twenties. Anyway, after being introduced to gaming on the IBM PC, I haven't looked back since. I believe the best gaming platform today and the future is still the PC. (That's why you are here) What is the purpose of your website ? Actually, this website is just a way of passing/wasting my time. Since I have played so many games and with so much experience gathered from it, it will be a waste not to share my knowledge to those especially new to computer gaming. So, with the construction of this website, I would try my best to write game reviews that are unbiased, simple and easy to understand. An alternative to the many game reviews found on the internet and the printed media. What are your favourite genres ? Which genres you won't touch ? Any game with action/adventure/arcade elements in it would be my first choice. A fair amount of thinking involved is also a plus. Strategy games (particularly in real-time) are also a favourite. Other genres are also played often : racing, puzzles, simulations and sometimes sports games. However, I would never, ever play Role Playing Games (RPG). Although I quite enjoyed lighter fare (such as Diablo), I avoid those deep RPG games (such as Baldur's Gate). So it would be great to have a contributer of RPG reviews into this website. |
