I Am A Woman
I am a woman,
Tried and true.
Had a man break my heart
And bruise my body black and blue.

I am a woman,
As strong as you.
I gave birth and that is hell to go through.

I am a woman,
Courage I feel when I am faced
With the doubt, criticism and hate that is all too real.

I am a woman,
I may be your mother
Or your sister,
Or wife and lover.

I am a woman,
And every day that I wake
Is another task and toil I must partake.

I am a woman,
And no matter where I live,
Color of skin or language I speak
I will always be a Goddess
With love to give.

I wrote this for every woman of all walks of life. We have the ability to endure the tortures of life, love and man, and still get the kids fed and off on their way.
