| And then, of course, there are the daimyo. The daimyo's job is to not only serve and protect the Mafia and its members but to govern the people and suppress ill-raised rebellion. Daimyo are carefully selected for their positions by the leader herself. There are a total of five and the position is issued only to those whom the leader holds in highest trust and regard. |
| 'Honorary' Daimyo are just that. They are members whom the leader believes to be capable of furthering the development of the Mafia but not quite capable of taking on a full leadership position. These members have special privileges within the Mafia and their numbers are unrestricted. |
| When one first joins, one is automatically a ronin. In otherwords, an outcast/outlaw-ish soldier with no special rank or recognition to distinguish him or her from his or her peers. |
| Battousai is a very prestigious title around Ly-ean, because it signifies elite role-playing skills. |
| Senshi; or warrior, signifies one who is not only dedicated and skillful but one who can be called upon with pride to uphold the Mafia's honor. |
| If one has proven themselves to be well-qualified, one may be asked to consider taking up a position in the intelligence department. Spies are entrusted with special missions where they may or may not be required to infiltrate enemy lines. Most often though, spies are charged with homeland security and more delicate operations. However, the position is not to be taken lightly. one must first be a spy or 'Honorary' Daimyo before they may advance to the ranks of the ninja. |
| Ninjas are the best of the best when it comes to special operations and intelligence gathering. They are trained in the arts of stealth and tend to lean more towards an offensive defense. They control a majority of the aspects of homeland security and are employed for a varity of purposes. In the game of ranks, they are the jacks-of-all-trades. |
