Archy FOWLER.--The first settler of the FOWLER family in the county, was William, the grandfather of our subject, who settled in 1806 on lands adjoining the "Manor," and was married to Rebecca GIBSON. He came from Cumberland County. He and his wife are dead.

Archibald, father of our subject, b. in 1807, m. Mary McBETH

The present homestead of Archibald, was settled first by Wm. FRAZIER, in 1806, and is midway from Greenville to Diamondville.

The children of Archibald were:

Rebecca m. to Hugh McMullen
James m. to Elizabeth HUSTON
William,d. Libbey prison during the late war.
Margaret m. to John BERINGER
Archy, our subject, m. to Belle LYTLE

The children of our subject were: Clarence, d. and Elder.
