The Teachers' Lounge (fiction)

Every teacher will agree to at least one thing- that teaching is not a boring profession. This collaborative web writing lets you look into the daily lives of five English teachers as well as the minds of some of their students.

It begins at the start of the school year in the year 2000. The State Board of Education in Nebraska has just passed a new requirement for their secondary education teachers. This requirement asks that the teachers keep a monthy journal log and try to have it in a neutral zone- the teachers' lounge- for other teachers to read and comment on. They can write about questions they have, problems they want to solve, or suggestions they have that could aid other teachers.

The following page allows you to see a picture of them at work and a description of what they teach at the Morrison School of Writing.

(This collaborative project was done by Sybil Priebe, Stacy Nygard, Jared Knodel, Mindy Zorn, and Jessica Nygard. We are/were all English Education Majors at North Dakota State University.)

At this point in time (November 2000- post college), I have only my teacher's story on this webpage.
