Words for the Dragons

Following are a few words that the dragons may want to use during roleplay. Some, such as croon, may be used by the riders, but they have to (skillfully) add a few more words to make it feasible. Though most of the definitions originally came from a dictionary somewhere, Lyana has since updated and altered them to be more fitting and more understandable when in use by a dragon.

Backwing- (my own definition, since it's not an actual word as far as I'm aware) the act of turning one's wings to face the direction you're going and beating them to force the air in that direction, effectively slowing and eventually stopping one's forward motion.

Croon- a soft, often soothing, humming sound used for various purposes and in various situations. i.e. a dragon may croon in greeting to someone familiar to him/her or croon in response to a question or statement that isn't quite worth talking about.

Keen- a lament for the dead, described as eerie and bone-chilling by some and is certainly not a sound one would want to hear. only under certain, and hopefully uncommon, circumstances is the use of this word advised.

Trill- a rapid alteration of two adjacent tones; almost song-like. can be used much in the same context as croon and warble.

Warble- to sing or whistle with trills, quavers, or melodic embellishments. can be used much in the same context as croon and trill.
