I
know Security patrol cannot be everywhere at one time, but I still see way
too many speeders and tail-gaters on our roads.
Maybe penalties should be steeper. |
|
3. |
|
Speed
traps seem to be set up on down hill slopes where
cars tend to increase speed and not on level areas |

I
do not belief all the quality of services currently provided by Security
warrants the budget they are given each year. In my one need for Security I
was truly disgusted with their response & handling of the problem. The robber was able to be free for over 6 months
instead of hours, before being caught, do to their evaluation of the property
damage & their determination a broken door window was only a case of
vandalism. No valuables taken were recovered. I hope they have greatly improved
their patrols & inspection times & capabilities for vacationing
absent residents & more thorough evaluations of a specific situation. I
would also like to know the reasoning for Security vehicles to be outside the
complex, that I have personnaly observed on various
occasions. |

More
speed patols on upper Wildflower Drive. Cars turn
off Wildwood Dr. on to Wildflower and come down the hill at high rates of
speed. |
|
9. |
|
A
less zealous approach to parking enforcement (e.g. don't do it) during major Commodor Park events. |
|
10. |
|
There
are still a lot of people exceeding the 25 mile an hour speed limit. What can
we do about it? |
|
11. |
|
If
you keep the bad guys out ... you should have less robberies and thefts.
People who give their numbers to others...should be severely fined. |
|

I
do not approve of "speed traps" where the security sits ready to
pounce at the bottom of steep hills! When a standard car I leave the top
going 22 in 2nd gear and reach 29to 30 half way down and have to brake.
Brakes have to be replaced more often here mainly because of steep roads and
driveways. I think when citizens are obviously trying to control their speed
and security takes advantage of it it is poor use
of their time. I see adults and kids pass in no passing zones, workers vehicles
and trash vehicles speeding all the time. The goal should be to stop
dangerous speeding, not residents who are trying to abide by the law. |
|

I
see too many cars go thru the North Gate when the arm is up and access is not
questioned |

love
the gate guards! especially Darlene - very nice and friendly. always helpful. |

THEY
NEED TO ALDO CHECK ID; INSTEAD OF JUST ASKING FOR THE ID NUMBER AND NAME |
|

|
For
the four times that we have had to call the ambulance to our house, I have
wondered why the LWW officers had to come into the house and hang around. The
EMTS do a wonderful job and I'm not sure that the security officer can do
anything in the house to aid them. |

Enforce
Pedestrians in Cross Walk Right of Way. Traffic will rarely stop for pedestrians
in Crosswalks along Lakewildwood and Chickadee Dr.
I have almost been hit by our own security when crossing from golf hole 8 to
9 and 2 to 3. This place is dangerous for pedestrians!! |
|
18. |
|
Why
is security protecting main gate motorcycle parking for certain people, this
should be available to all residents, not some select few. |
|
19. |
|
Once
they put a note on our front door that the back door was unlocked. More
speeding enforcement is required - especially commercial vehicles... |
|
20. |

when
we have called they are prompt and polite and it is greatly appreciated |

21. |
|
I
have observed outsiders randomlly being waved
through the gates |
|

|
We
live on Lake Wildwood Drive and I am very concerned regarding the speed that
people drive. It seems that very few drive the required 25 even when people
are walking on the roadway. |
|
23. |
|
Security
is important but also costly the way we handle this service. We need to take
a very aggresive look at alternative processes and
technology to drive the cost down and still deliver services. |
|
24. |
|
If
boat traffic/rules were enforced better (speeding in 5mps areas, and wild cris/crossing lake with a tube in tow) security would
rate tops! |
|
25. |
|
Our
biggest concern is wildlife access. The deer, turkey, etc. population inside
LWW is getting out of hand and must be controlled. Would additional fencing
make it worse? I'm not sure that the security aspects of fencing are worth
the cost of installation and maintenance. |
|
26. |
|
In
my experience with security over the years, I have found them to be fairly
useless except for monitoring the gates and stopping a small percentage of
the speeders. My son, my wife and I witnessed the security boat ramming and
damaging a neighbor's dock recently ( I am not kidding!) . The security
officer later denied she did that after I reported it to the neighbor and he
followed up with a call to security. I was interviewed by several
"officers" a couple of days after the incident. Jeff called me a
week later. I suspect he took no action because he seemed to have a lot of
loyalty to his staff member. Although, he did call me again later to say that
the boat was indeed driven by the female in question (I had given a
description) at the time of the damage. I suggested he bring the security
boat over to the damaged dock and see if the dent matched the boat, something
that had not apparently occurred to him to do. The neighbor and I do not
think he ever did that even though he said that it was a good idea. Witnesses
do not count because if security did not see it happen, it did not happen!
That being the case, then, I guess not much really happens. I sincerely
believe, this accident happened because this particular boat driver lacked
the experience to drive the boat. And this is our lake security officer in
charge! In other experiences with security, I have found this entity to be
poorly managed from the top down. In any given hour, if you stand in front of
my house during a weekday, you will see at least 15 vehicles speed past at
more than 10 mph over the limit. Yet I see one get stopped there maybe once a
month. Boat rules enforcement is inconsistent and violations are often
ignored. I have talked with neighbors and they all have their own stories to
relate in that regard. The rules change at sunset but there seems to be a
lack of consistency as to just when that is. Some security people think that
it happens when the sun goes behind the hill which means the sun has set in
that part of the lake which is shaded. So if I am boating in a shade area at
that hour, I must abide by a different set of rules than if I boat in a sunny
area. Other security people think that sunset is the official time listed in
the newspaper for that day. Yet from a safety standpoint, that is too late
for the western parts of the lake where it is too dark to be going 35 mph by
the time the shade makes it's way to the eastern
shoreline. These inconsistencies point to a lack of training. By the way,
here is my suggestion for the sunset dilemma. By direct observation determine
the times for each of the months of the year that the boats speeds should
drop due to darkness (particulary the warm months).
Determine from this a good average time for that month (or week if a month is
too long for a particular time), erring in favor of safety, that boats should
slow down. Post it in the Bit and Pieces. The same time will be used for the
entire month (or week as the case may be) so only the earliest sunset for
that month needs to be observed. |
|
27. |
|
The
fencing was a mistake from the beginning and should not be continued |
|
28. |
|
Enforcement
of full stops at stop signs seems to be a great deal more vigorous that other
local law enforcement. Could out local cops fall back into like with the rest of the county. Enforcement seems a bit
over zealous. |
|
29. |
|
Inadequate
information dissemination of Emergency planning information. Inadequate
direction and use of CERT teams. Not enough organization and training for
CERT members, many of whom have no idea what they are supposed to do and lack
of activity makes them feel un-needed and ineffective. |

1.
We object to the gate exit screening done at night. Complete waste of money
and effort, plus it is annoying. It is also a liability if someone feels the
policy is discriminatory. 2. While we support the 25mph limit, the speed
traps set up at the bottom of hills are unfair. A person following the speed
limit in general may be pulled along by gravity on down hills to a few miles
over 25 completely innocently. Clock speeds for ticketing on flat sections or
tops of hills. 3. There are too many in-your-face "do this; don't do
this" signs at the gates. Anyone who actually took time to read all the
signs would cause a traffic back up. They set a sour tone for people
entering. 4. When we walk, we make sure we are not blocking traffic, which
means we need to walk single-file when traffic is coming. Security should do
more to encourage this behavior in all walkers. Walkers need to be told to
walk against traffic as required by law. |
|
31. |
|
They
are very important to the quality of life in LWW. We very much appreciate
their service. |
|
32. |
|
To
me, it seems like there ought to be more speeding tickets issued. I drive 24
to 27 miles an hour in here, and invariably I have some yahoo riding my
bumper all along Lake Wildwood drive Jayhawk Drive
& Wildflower. Wildwood & Wildflower are the main thoroughfares, but
the speeders are on the other streets as well. |
|
33. |
|
Any
pedestrian gates should be card accessed instead of open during certain hours
ie. end of Lake wildwood access to the schools |
|
34. |
|
I
don't agree with the need for our security personnel to carry weapons. It
both increases our cost and makes getting insurance more difficult without
any offsetting benefits. |
|
35. |
|
Traffic
speed should be a main priority. Many, many moe
speeding tickets should be written. Several main streets are speedways..
25mph period.. |
|

|
37. |

Sometimes
the cocky "rent a cop" attitude comes out. Too many speeders and
loud vehicles!!! |
|
38. |
|
I
don't think we can wait for the new development in Wildwood Hts to be completed. We should finish the fence all
around our area as soon as possible, especially along Wildflower Drive. |
|
39. |
|
Not
treating the residence like we are the bad guys after we are stopped. when we
do in deed pay there
wages. Give more thought in being the good guy and giving ride home when so
needed. |
|
40. |
|
The
securtiy guards should not be performing errands
and other functions that have nothing to do with security. |
|
41. |
|
I
still see many instances of Security patrol vehicles being driven without
using turn signals, not stopping for stop signs, one hand out the window
(instead of both hands on the steering wheel), and driving without headlights
turned on (CHP has recommended since 1980 that all vehicles run their
headlights any time they're driving on undivided highways, which includes all
the streets in and around Lake Wildwood). Seems like they should be setting a
better example for our children and all other drivers. In-person and phone
correspondence with gate personnel has always been very courteous and
professional. Too many vehicles are allowed to remain parked over the fog
line, causing other vehicles to dodge around them crossing the center line
into the oncoming traffic lane. Photo ID guest passes were a great idea, as
were the bar-coded entry stickers for residents. Patrol officers
investigating phoned-in complaints/concerns have always been very courteous
and professional. |
|
42. |
|
Security
is a primary reason that many of us have chosen to live in a gated community.
LWW needs to be secure and actions taken to keep it secure. |
|
43. |
|
Don't
have strong opions. We don't live inside the
compound! |
|
44. |
|
The
only comment I have is that living on the golf course many people with kids
think it is a park and act accordingly and when you call security most of the
time they arrive too late or not at all which I think sends the wrong message
to these people. |
|
45. |
|
They
spend too much time running speed traps on residents who are not real
problems, instead of patrolling to look for issues that are out of the
ordinary. Also, when an elderly man fell victim of heat stroke, security did
not call for an ambulance until they walked over to Commodore Park to
personally verify the need. A life could have been lost by the delay, and we
are all fortunate that he is ok. Also, no security would help a golf cart
that needed to be pushed (two separate occasions), and elderly residents
wound up helping the cart owners. |
|
46. |
|
I
find the people the the gates exceptional
(efficient, well spoken, take their jobs seriously, relate well to the
residents/visitors, helpful) versus our prior gated community in the Bay
Area. I also asked them to check in on my wife when we first moved up here
but I was out of the country. They we're prompt AND very efficient responding
to my call for assistance. 3 years ago, I thought the personnel manning the
lake patrol were petty and rather overbearing in their approach to boaters;
this summer, I've found the personnel to be much more "relaxed",
but still seriously trying to do their job. The 3 person "ban" on a
3 person tube I find archaic. It should be changed!! |
|
47. |
|
The
good security is one of the major factors that convinced us to move here. |

Even
though I know you are out there, Lake Forest Drive across from the #2 Men's

more often. |

Unauthorized
boat fines should be substantially increased. Guests with boats should
receive LWW owner's permission for gate access and assume responsibility for
fines for unauthorized use. |
|
52. |
|
many
times they are of outstanding help. Our thanks are
extended to them. |
|
53. |
|
Security
does an awesome job! We have seldom called, but in an emergency, they came
right away. They located our stolen paddle boat twice! Thank you! |
|
54. |
|
We
have a problem with how the speed limit is enforced. Officers seem very
anxious to ticket, and wait near the base of hills to catch a driver, not
noticing the vehicle's attempt to slow down and be within the limits and not
noticing the overall careful driving. Meanwhile, other vehicles go well above
the 25 mph and are not caught. Security should have higher priorities than to
set speed traps. |
|
55. |
|
Need
to enforce the parking restriction of non-operative vehicles, including
those parked on Chaparral and on Wildflower. Need to provide speed and other
enforcement to other streets as diligently as is provided on Chaparral and
Wildflower. |
|
56. |
|
I
hear lots of "rumors" that head of security also has a business to
supply equipment to security which seems like a conflict of interest. Whether
it is true or not, I hope LWW is allowing bidding on jobs. |
|
57. |
|
I
THINK THEY ARE WELL ORGANIZED AND TRY VERY HARD TO DO THEIR BEST |
|
58. |

We

1.POSTING
FINES FOR SPEEDING MAY HELP TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT AND FREQUENCY.(1ST OFFENSE,
2ND OFFENSE,ECT.) 2.SLOW OR CAUTION SIGNS FOR PEDESTRIAN FREQUENTED ROADS AND
GOLF CART CROSSINGS AND ROADS USED BY GOLF CARTS MAY DETER SPEEDERS. |
|
61. |
|
If
security personal are going to act as law enforcement, making traffic stops,
asking for I.Ds, dressing like sheriff deputies and so on. All of these
things should be done legally, which would intail
steady burning red lights on their cars, special deputy appointment by the
sheriff, and what ever other steps are needed to
put our security personal above reproach. |
|
62. |
|
I
have been in my guest vehicle when they have gone to the gate to enter and
have seen guards clear them through the gate without verifing
on the computer their permission to enter. This happens primarily in the
afternoon or evening. |
|
63. |
|
It's
very important to have high quality people on security and at the gates so
that their actions compliment the quality of the environment in which they
work...KLD |
|
64. |
|
We
are on the perimeter of Pleasant Valley road and we appreciate the fencing
installed last year. IT has eliminated the kids from passing though our
property and it saved a car from the road from falling down the hillside. We
would like to see the fence continue on PVRoad and
other areas that residents have had issues as well. |
|
65. |
|
I
keep hearing stories about inconsistent patrol officer's actions. They need
to standardize their service. |
|
66. |
|
As
to the 25 mile speed limit, the Lake wildwood trucks should be accountable to
that speed |
|
67. |
|
Too
much side of the road radar duty-should be patrolling all streets. |
|
68. |
|
Because
of the lack of sidewalks or walking areas, it is extremely dangerous to walk
within LWW because of the number of vehicles speeding. Traffic enforcement
and rules enforcement (barking/loose dogs) seems lax. Recommend that guest
access requests be implemented on the internet. |
|
69. |
|
People
walking in the main gate and not being stopped by security for
identification. Someone stole 500 from our car that was next to the garage. |
|
70. |
|
extending
boundry fencing is not only a security issue, but I
think it would have a significant impact on the amount of wildlife within the
development and the preditors that pursue
them....there's just to many deer in this developement...it's not natural..they challenge you on
your property, they eat everything in site...and on the golf course they interfer with play....let alone beinf
a traffic hazard. |
|
71. |
|
Checks
disappear if they line up in rows? Haven't time to keep fixing this. I answered
No. 82 several times! Checks disappear...so you want only varied answers?
Never same on twice? Thus, page won't forward so I cannot answer further.
Checks are not my REAL opinion. |
|
72. |
|
24
hour gate security seems to be an unecessary
expense. After hours entry could be done by entering a code or using a card.
It is time, with rising gas prices, LWW looks at allowing motorcycles. A decible reader could be purchased and used by security to
monitor excessively loud motorcycles. |
|
73. |
|
I
aprreciate having the pedestrian gate at Fair Oaks
open during school hours! |
|
74. |
|
Security
is extremely expensive partly due to the total benefits package and to the
use of firearms. Serious consideration should be made to outsourcing this
requirement. Maintaining our own, expensive, homegrown security force might
not be our best choice in today's market. |
|
75. |
|
I
do not like having to "check out" of the gates in the evenings
after 11PM or so - this wastes my time and is a hassle - it also give you the
impression that you're living in San Quentin. At the very least, there should
be an automatic exit gate that works with your car sticker or LWW ID card. |
|
76. |
|
Put
up a camera at the gate of Lake Wildwood Drive and Fair Oaks, too many people
are Jumping that fence! |
|
77. |
|
I
would like the pedestrian access to Williams ranch to stay open during
regular school hours! Part of the draw to living here are the wonderful
schools we have and the close proximity to where they are! Parents should be alowed to walk thier child to
and from school along with voluntering throughout
the day without having to spend extra money (and time) on gas! If you need to
put in an access gate like with a scan card, fine but don't misslead people with question #83 of course we don't want
unauthorized people walking in the gate! |
|
78. |
|
I
am happy you addressed the security issue. I cannot understand
"security" when there is no fencing. It doesn't make sense. Thanks
and we surely hope fencing is installed! |
|

Just
a few comments / opinions: 1.) Please enforce parking / vehicle code issues
as it pertains to towing abandoned vehicles. There are several properties
that have accumulated a substantial number of junk cars. LWW is posted at the
gate entrances for CA Vehicle Code enforcement, so use that as leverage to
tow these cars that are abandoned on the roadways. The security dept. has the
ability to "tag" the vehicles with citations and tow if necessary.
It appears staff has been directed to be "hands-off" when it comes
to towing vehicles. The other issue is with junk vehicles parked on the
property (not roadway). This should be dealt with by Code Enforcement (either
LWW or County of Nevada). This creates the atmosphere of a
"run-down" neighborhood and blight, not to mention lowering
property values in the area. 2.) Please do something about the issue of
trespassers at the Fair Oaks fire gate. This is a continual problem that
needs to be addressed. I am unfamiliar with the LWW ordinances, but there
should be one (or one should be created) regarding "Unauthorized entry
points." This would mean anyone jumping the fence could be cited, even
if they live here and can lawfully enter the premises through the entrance
gates. This has been a huge issue in the neighborhood with certain people
doing this daily, along with their friends. Note, this should not include the
option of an electronic gate card in this area. There would be absolutely no
control of people entering LWW because the association cannot stop a member
from handing off their card to another person or allowing a large group of
people through the gate. The front gated entrances allow for people to be
screened at the gate, along with photographed through the surveillance
cameras. 3.) It should be noted that I have had many encounters with LWW
security (private and professionally) and I have found the patrol and gate
staff to be helpful and friendly. |
|
80. |
|
Quit
worrying about barking dogs and little old ladies who are
"speeding" at 30 MPH! Priorities, please work to stop vandalism |
|
81. |
|
Security
patrol cars are too anxious to give tickets. I've been stopped when I wasn't
speeding and the patrol officer admitted it by not giving me a ticket when I
objected. |
|
82. |
|
Need
to use patrols to monitor overnight parking and take action after 3 straight
days, per the law, without waiting for a homeowner to complain. |
|
83. |
|
There
are still way too many people who speed in LWW. |
|
84. |
|
I
do not want LWW to look like a prison compound from the outside... |
|
85. |
|
seems
to be large issue re speeding control w/o regard to resources needed to do
better job;altho we are OK w/current enforcement in
this area, we'd be willing to pay more for more patrols if majority feels
it's needed |
|
86. |
|
Security
currently positions radar enforcement at the bottom of long, steep roads,
thereby ensuring lots of tickets. The result is an unclear picture of whether
speeding is a problem in Lake Wildwood. |
|
87. |
|
We
have no problem of any kind with our security guards, whether in the cars or
at the gate. Everyone is pleasant and willing to assist. |
|
88. |
|
Install
a camera device on the streets that have the most traffic violations in order
to issue citations. Perhaps if even more people are cited they will all start
slowing down |
|
89. |
|
I
know the speed limit is 25 MPH and I think this is important, however at
times I know I exceed this for a few seconds until I realize I am doing it.
It think security should watch for more than a second or two before stopping
someone. I have only been stopped once and it was OK, but I felt badly and I
have heard others complain about this too. |

They
could use some more training on rules in LWW |
|
93. |

Fencing
around the perimeter discourages non residents from entering LWW. The level
of theft and property damage seems to have increased over the last few years. |
|
94. |
|
Doing
a good job. |
|
95. |
|
I
feel that the patrol security officers should be doing just that, patrolling.
I feel that when I see one parked trying to get the people speeding, they are
not preventing crime in the area, but actually encouraging it. Anyone who
wants to break into a home in this area would know to watch for the traffic
enforcement and do so then. |
|
96. |
|
Would
like greater pedestrian and "member only" vehicle access to the two
local schools. We live so close, but on poor weather days would have to drive
so far out of our way to keep children out of the weather. |
|
97. |
|
It
appears to me that the mobile security has a tendency to be confrontational
and egotistical without much regard for common sense. |
|
98. |
|
That
is why we moved here, because of the security. |
|
99. |
|
There
are issues other than fencing which are lacking. |
|
100. |

Need
to control the loud boats, especially with LOUD music! Also speeding and
skiing after sunset. |
|
103. |
|
Most
gate guards are very nice and helpful, however, implementation of some of the
rules is cumbersome. Especially when you are having a party. Sometimes I feel
the guards are hindering to welcoming experience at LWW. Some get an
"attitude" of power vs service &
help. |
|
104. |
|
Some
detractors think we "over-police" and it is likely they are some
who have been stopped for vehicle violations. We believe that with a limited
staff we get excellent security support. We also think that we all have a resposibility for public safety and security and
encourage more neighborhood watch participation as well as volunteer help to
assist our security dept. Why can't volunteers be orange vested for traffic
control and other non-police duties? If Boy Scouts can direct traffic, so can
"older folks." As a final note, we are NOT in favor of disarming
our patrol officers. If well trained and certified, they are a true deterent to the ciminal minded
who must think twice knowing there is someone close rather than a County Mountie who may be 10 miles or more away. |
|
105. |
|
The
SD has been very responsive to any issues we have had (locked out of house
one time. Had dead animals a couple of times, had questions about seeing wild
animals that were answered) |
|
106. |
|
The
Lake Wildwood speed limit should be enforced. A reasonable mandatory
ticketing speed is 28 mph, which is 10% over, not 33 mph, which is 33% over. |
|
107. |
|
We
are new to Lake Wildwood and will reserve our opinion on some of the above
until we get better familiar with the runnings of
Security. Thank You |
|
108. |
|
Security
needs to pay more attention to homes that they know is empty on Mon-Fri.
Owners should have the option to reguster their
home as empty on Mon-Fri and Security should take more notice. Security could
park in our driveway on Lake Forest on the weekends (free of charge) and
watch the speeders. |
|
109. |
|
Does
not patrol all major streets thoroughly enough. People drive over the speed
limit all the time on Sun Forest and rarely do we see Security personnel. |
|
110. |
|
Most
of the Security Personnel are great. There is some overkill in certain areas.
The perimeter fencing is an example. The ticketing of boats without new
decals PARKED at docks on the FIRST day after the Association Dues must be
paid is a long standing peeve. The cameras early in the morning at the exit
gates is overkill. |

Gate closure after hours. More speeding coverage and speeding cameras, with
more funds as needed. Issuance of paper tickets to conform to practice in
rest of US. NB: This household is split on the fencing issue. Please adjust
survey results accordingly. |

With
the increasing number of mountain lion sightings, and now bear sightings,
more proactive educational materials should be made available to the
membership. Does the absence of fencing create greater access opportunities
for these predators?? |

Speeding---We
continue to show tickets on Wildflower, Chaparral, Lake Wildwood Drive and
Lake Forest---somehow all other streets either do not have offenders....or,
and the real answer, that they are not assigned an officer to await
offenders! Their job is NOT to simply gain the greatest number of
tickets---it is to make ALL streets safe. The security vehicles also seem to
make the trip from front to rear gate using Pleasant Valley Road---WHY???
They have no jurisdiction here, are still on duty, and unless responding to
an EMERGENCY, should be utilizing LWW roads to make their presence known and
to make full use of their time on duty! Use of turn signals and use of
headlights when windshield wipers are in use is the LAW----our security folks
and members of the working staff in LWW vehicles should/must obey these lawas too. Enforce the "hands free" law for
cell phones! |

Kudos
to Jennifer at the North Gate, she seems to be the only officer who
consistently acknowledges cars as they enter. Unfortunately, we often wonder
if some officers even noticed a car entering. What were they doing? Watching
the TV? Smoking a cig on the other side? We would like to suggest that during
special events an officer is in the parking areas actually preventing people
from parking illegally, or ticket those who do. Right now, it appears a
"free for all". On July 4th, PVFD (my husband's a firefighter) had
great difficulty manuevering in the parking lot
because of cars parked illegally. This would also apply to cars on Wildflower
parked over the fog line. Just ticket 'em! :) LWW
cannot be considered a gated community unless it is fenced. We see multiple
places of entry for foot traffic and have seen people coming in from Wildwood
Ridge. |
|
115. |
|
We
have already found out how vulnerable we are to liability for lake mishaps,
so boat patrols in the evenings close the sunset, should be more frequent.
That is when we have witnessed a lot of unsafe things happening, not only by
skiers, tubers and boarders, but the fishermen also seem to be reluctant to
obey the rules. |
|
116. |
|
We
feel it is important to extend the fences. |
|
117. |
|
They
should be more visible |
|

|
LWWA
decided some years ago to fund the July 4th fireworks show over the
objections of many of us. Now some are quibling
over fencing that protects ALL of our property. Drop the fireworks show and
build the damn fence! Many of us have yet to see the !#$%!! fireworks show. |
|
119. |

God
Bless 'em. They're doing a great job. |

We
know Jeff as we had him go to our winter residence in Palm Springs to present
our security system to them. He is very knowledgeable. Our BOD chose another
company and at this point regrets their choice, as do we!!! LWW's system is
the best!! |
|
121. |
|
I
feel that the fencing is somewhat of a deterrent to robberies and burglaries,
especially for houses along or near the roadsides. With the increase in drug
problems locally and the boldness of drug users/sellers, the fence may be a
deterrent. |
|
122. |
|
I
am very disappointed with the lack of enforcement of the speed limits in
Wildwood. I know that security trys, however, I
believe they lack support from the Board. There are too many second chances
given to speeders. In addition, stiffer fines and more openness in who the
speeders are might help. This serious problem needs serious consequences. |
|
123. |
|
I
would hope that good judgment is used when enforcing laws/policies. I have
had occasions where I have observed if that quality with security personnel
is as important in their daily operations as it should be. |

Need
to replace the barb wire with a fence along pleasant valley road from North
Gate to the school. |
|
125. |
|
Lets not spend our money on fencing.
If people want in, they will find a way. Lets make
sure we have good control of access of vehicles. Also, patroling
parks, golf course, etc. are far more important. Having neighborhood watch
meetings might be a good prevention tool. I don't think security is very
visible to our members, except their vehicles. I'd like to know how they
spend their time, what types of calls they most frequently get, how do they
communicate issues to the members, etc. My sense is they need to be more
proactive and professional in this area. |
|
126. |
|
Pleasant
Valley School will always be open to pedestrians so it seems wasteful to
spend money on fencing. We appreciate that the walk through gate to Williams
Ranch is open during school hours. |
|
127. |
|
Access
at the Pleasant Valley School is vwide open.
Non-residents enter rhrough those gates at all
hours even with bicycles. They attend events at Commadore
Park and don't live here! Controlling unauthorized access at the school is a
priority in my opinion. |

There
still seems to be an excess of speeds over 25 mph |
|
133. |
|
Security
is too focused on giving us property owners a ticket for traveling 30mph when
they could be assisting other areas of more importance. |
|
134. |
|
It
seems questionable as to the random patrol being of value. It appears that
the patrolling cars drive by houses without looking around at what is going
on. There seems to be an intolerance to golf carts, whether they are obeying
the rules of the road, or about how cars endanger the golf carts . |
|
135. |
|
Traffic
enforcement, particularly speed limit enforcement, should be stepped up in
critical areas. Speeding on Wildflower and Lake Wildwood Drive is a chronic
and dangerous problem. |
|
136. |

Completing
the Fence Program will aid Security in enforcement of trespassers etc. |

On
my few contacts w/ security. Tel call to the gate excellent personnel are courteious & well versed in thier
duties. My one interaction w/ our assitant security
director was well handled & he followed up w/ resolution to our
complaint. It seems as though the patrol officers need more training or be
more observant w/ cars/tricks ... parked over a fog line especailly
@ night w/ unlighted roads. Being observant to vehicles parked on roadways
for days to years w/ expired tags (VW bus, expired tags 03, parked on the
roadway daily .... driven during the day ... called it to their attention in
07) ... the 7 or so motor cycles w/ epxpired tags
be the main gate maybe 50' from security HQ. Patrol Officers should be more
community oriented ( I have noticed that the new female officers seem to pay
more attention to us locals .... a couple of the males w/ the dark glasses
never smile or wave ... maybe they're scared that their face might crack)
With tighter times you can bet that burglaries will be up .... now is the
time to be more observant & coomunity oriented
(ie seeing something out of order ... maybe a
friendly stop to remind me that my garage door is open or something or
something else that might be a potential for trouble .... I think the older
citizens would appreciate, and make the officer a more valuble
part of the community. |

We
live near the clubhouse. On more than one occassion
when we called to report events unfolding, more time was spent asking about
us than we felt necessary. While we were being asked many questions the event
we were trying to report went without response. |
|
139. |
|
We
have noticed that some security vehicles do not necessarily adhere to the
same vehicle operation rules that we do...and not when they are responding to
an emergency. |
|
140. |
|
Boat
patrol is very inconsistent and random with their reasoning for violations.
Some officers are very nice and reasonable and others act like we are all
convicted felons. |

I
wish there was more control of access to LWW via the Elementary school! |

We
live on LWW Dr. The vehicles going up and down the hill in front of our house
should be more closely monitored, many times they are going well over the

Regarding
question #81, we feel that all of these areas should be considered a number 1
priority. |
|
150. |
|
Good
Job! It is hard to rate the services and there importance...they are all
important and we do appreciate our security department. |
|
151. |
|
It
would seem not all boaters are "aware" of the no wake areas in the
lake...security is not always on top of this. |
|
152. |
|
BOAT
safety enforcement is a continual problem. Especially at dusk. Security is
seldom if ever on the lake during dark hours. Speeding with limited
visibility is an accident waiting to happen. More patroling
is needed to also make some boaters aware of safety. Security does not need
to power around the lake at a high speed unless after somebody. Lake safety
and lack of common sense is our main complaint with an otherwise very good
security staff. Is security trained in lake patrol and are they on duty
during dusk. Thank you for asking!!!! |
|
153. |
|
I
belive that communities such as Las Lagos in
Granite Bay should be considered when the issue of security fencing is
addressed. The appearance of a solid concrete wall is preferentiala
to chain link fencing. |
|
154. |
|
There
are officers that are unfriendly & acted improperly. I think the
department needs to hold training classes for them to treat the residents
with proper respect. Although most of them are extremely friendly and
helpful. |
|
155. |
|
I
do not feel as safe here as I was led to believe I could when I purchased my
home here.... I would suggest more patrols for security rather than setting
on the side of the road waiting for speeders.. |
|
156. |
|
Boat
security patrolling the lake at busy boating times, creating more choppy
water by speeding, when they could go slower or troll along. Be more sensetive to those trying to find calm water for skiing.
The 2 person per tube rule on the weekends need to be reconsidered! We all
know the lake gets very busy on the weekends, but by allowing 3 people to
ride a floatation device instead of 2, will relieve some of the boat traffic,
because more people will be able to ride at the same time. Therefore getting
done sooner, & reducing boat traffic. |
|
157. |
|
I
do not think that some of attendants do a good job of checking people at the
gate. I do not think some people do a thorough check. |
|
158. |
|
I
am overall satisfied, but their has been a few
problems. I do not appreciate a lesson on not saying the "0" before
my ID#. I also think its ridiculous you can only
call a friend/family member in the gate for only 3 days on the phone. A BIG Inconvience. |
|
159. |
|
Speeding
on Chaparral Drive needs a lot more attention. Housing contractor's speeding
is rampant especially in the afternoons (quitting time!). |
|
160. |
|
We
live by on Sun Forest Drive by Pleasant Valley school. From a security
standpoint, there is no security as there is a 24 hour "open" gate
for pedestrian access. Many times, especially young folks, park their cars in
the school parking lot and simply walk or skateboard into Lake Wildwood.
During school hours when both the vehicle access gate to Lake Wildwood is open
as well as the schools maintence gate is open,
people can drive their vehicles into our community. |
|
161. |
|
But
need better response time. |
|
162. |
|
I
often walk to the grocery store, etc. I have never been questioned when
returning which is nice, and I am sure I look like I belong, but should I be

The
fencing is important to protect the residents from trespassers. |

Security
is one of the top benefits of living in LWW. please consider purchasing Used
security vehicles to save money. new security vehicles every year is
excessive spending. |
|
167. |
|
]The
passes given to family and friends should be reviewed annually to insure only
truly authorized persons are entering LWW |

1)
I have had property stolen from the campground area and have never recieved an adequate reponse
from security on what happened? They pretty much told me to report the theft
to other agencies. 2) In the past there have been numerous attempts to break
into my house and I have received hostile verbal threats from neighbors and
security never provides feed back on what they are
doing about the incidents? I would like to recieve
some assurance that something is being done to protect my house and property?
I am satisfied with security doing their patrolling and other duties but I am
very unsatisfied with the lack of feed back or action on my own security
issues. |
|
169. |
|
Would
like to see additional security presence on the lake Specially on holidays
and weekends. |
|
170. |

Because
of wages, we do not attract a very good crop. Our current crop of young
"Security Guards" are not very polite and are not
"serving" as well as they should. |
|
171. |

very
friendly and helpful when you call them |
|
172. |
|
We
need to control spending for the Security Department! they are not the CHP,
and furthermore we have the sheriff's coopration
and close attendance. Let's ease up on the souped
up security car spending! The fence is rediculous...I
could hop over that fence in a second! all it does is hurt animals( like
deer) or stop them from thier naturally foraging
paths. Bad idea. |
|
173. |
|
Start
punishing the boaters that cary kegs of beer around
for other boaters to drink from. Yes, this happened, I saw it, and it
happened while security was less than 50 yrds away,
very sad. I couldn't believe my eyes. |
|
174. |
|
The
security department has to respond to member calls. Some members abuse this
and harass their neighbors by calling over the slightest infraction. |
|
175. |
|
PLEASE
KEEP THE SCHOOL GATE OPEN ALL DAY !!!!! Put a security camera there or a card
ID access. |
|
176. |
|
I
would just say that as a runner/walker, I can't stand it when cars speed by
me within a "hair" from where I am. Also it is imperative for
people to slow down given how easy it is to hit wildlife. I don't know what
my suggestion would be, just want you to be aware of how fast people tend to
go...and this is on my own street (Jayhawk). |
|
177. |
|
I
think the fencing around the perimeter of LWW particularly along Pleasant
Valley Road between the first and second gate is so ugly and just gives
people more reason to call us "Lake Lockup". What a waste of money. |
|
178. |
|
Thank
you for allowing the Fair Oaks gate access for those of us with school aged
kids...nice not to be "locked out" inadvertently (not to mention
I'm getting too old to scale that fence!) |
|
179. |
|
Our
security people (males) have a very bad attitude. They act has if they are
C.H.P., come on we are a gated. If you want more of my opinion contact me, I
really feel this area needs work. |
|
180. |
|
Security
Dept. need to do a better job of controlling speed on LWW drive, Chaparral
Dive and Lake Forest Drive |
|
181. |
|
Its not the Security dept I have a
problem with since I know they are just enforcing the rules, but the rules
are so strict. We are in a little prison in here. Im
afraid to bike ride out to the shopping center since it is such a hassle to
get back in. |
|
182. |
|
Lets not set speed traps in hidden
spots at the bottom of hills, i.e., allow a little more leeway on downhill
streets. |
|
183. |
|
we
have asked to have patrols more visible during high traffic periods in the
outer "perimeters" of the community, to no avail. we understand
that traffic is a higher concentration nearer the gates but the speeding is
done in the "low visibility" areas where security is rarely seen.
we would like to see security "sitting" on the side streets more
often to keep drivers atuned to the possibility of
speed limit control. |
|
184. |
|
A
card access gate for the pedestrian gate at LWW Dr and Fair Oaks (access to Willams Ranch School) would be nice for the parents that
have kids in school. This way the gate could be opened during school commute
hours and closed for other hours but the LWW card can access it if residents
need to pass through. |
|
185. |
|
horror
stories I have personally experienced & heard of from other residents
about the treatment received by at least some members of security involving
traffic stops. It appears that some members of the security force are not
aware that their primary function is to protect & assist the residents of
LWW & that they, instead, are primarily concerned with their own inflated
image of themselves & their position of power & control. Conversely,
my home has been burglarized several times by other residents of LWW &,
in spite of the fact that LWW had the police reports & that I had
requested increased security, the break-ins continued. The perpetrators did
significant damage to my house in their attempts to enter, so it must have
taken them some time - they didn't just slip in through an unlocked door
& their means of entry was always someplace that was visible from the
street. I have lived in New York City, Chicago, L.A. & lots of other
places & have never had anything like this happen before. |
|
186. |
|
I
was disappointed with the decision for the funds that were allocated for the
perimeter fencing on the north side of the North gate were redirected to the
golf course. I constantly see non members access LWW by just stepping over
the two strand barbed wire fence at street level, yet there is perimeter fencing
south of the north gate that is on the top of a hill that would be impossible
for someone to climb up from the road. Why am I paying the salary of the gate
attendant if some one can just walk out of their
sight and hop over the poor excuse of a fence that currently exists. |
|
187. |
|
Need
better enforcement of our speed limits. |
|
188. |
|
Boats
are still going too fast in no wake zones...perhaps a camera (even a fake
one!) |
|
189. |
|
When
calling the front gate and giving my identification number to allow guests to
enter the complex, I'm not always asked for my name so that the security
person can match it to the identification number. I suggest a script be
followed to ensure this match always occurs. |
|
190. |
|
I
live on Wildflower Dr. Between the park and the No. Gate. There is no speed
enforcement in this area at all. Vehicles speed at 40 MPH plus all day long.
The closer they get to the gate..the faster they go. |
|
191. |
|
There
seems to be no set schedule for security boat's presence on the lake; it
seems they show up a lot when there are few boats present; they need more
presence, especially during busy times, like weekends, and observant
especially for speeding inside the yellow buoys. |
|
192. |
|
We
need more patrol and give out many more tickets for speeding, expecially along Wildflower, Wildwood, and Jayhawk Drives |
|
193. |
|
They
do a fine job. |
|
194. |
|
Are
we over the top ? expense wise |
|
195. |
|
I
keep seeing people flying down the street (speeding) and there are a lot of
young kids with loud deep bass stereos and loud car exhausts that are
extremely annoying. |
|
196. |
|
Security
does a good job, but there are a few that seem to take it too seriuos and don't really want to protect the members, but
want to bust the members. |
|
197. |
|
The
image of security is so negative. They seem to be only a negative presence,
with little to no positive interaction. Particularly the patrol and boating
officers. Lighten up a little. LWW is not particularly family friendly;
smile, wave, less rules against young people and family gatherings. Would love
to have the chain link fence completed past the North Gate to Williams Ranch
School. |
|
198. |
|
Extend
more courtesy to calls to the Gates. |
|
199. |
|
To
question 82: The only information we read about calls being answered traffic
violations, etc. is what is printed in the Bits and Pieces and The
Independent. We usually do not receive "feed-back-calls" from
security about how the officers handles a case and what the outcome is. So,
how do you expect us to give you a helpful answer? |
