if this is the department that has cleaned up the ducks in the parks, then kudos to them!

2.

We will never be satisfied about maintenance of the roads until the association pays for paving Explorer Drive.

3.

none

4.

Just get the bathrooms open early!

5.

Great staff and leadership. Easy to deal with and very helpful. This organization is one of the unsung bright spots at LWW

6.

The lake has issues and I believe that the past board did a great job at starting to get them addressed. We need to continue all efforts to restore the water quality of the lake and keep it useable. I have not gone into the water in two years...

7.

Please choose another color of paint for all of our buildings. We still look like we were built in the 70's! With all of the money spent on our lake troubles, we still have them.

8.

need ability to have trees branches in common areas thinned out.

9.

The Lake is given far too large a share of Association funds and attention. The pool is not used at sufficient level to justify the large expenditure for heating in the winter.

10.

Consistent maintenance of parks absent. There seems to be some neglect of Hideaway Park in the area of tree trimming and cleaning of the area. Some areas could be fire hazards near the parking area.

11.

Pine room windows in very bad need of cleaning

12.

We would like to see the lake populated with the appropriate number of Solar Bees. The cost per lot is not high enough not to go ahead with this. I don't think we are ever going to know for sure if they are helping with the few Bees we have in place. It is not a valid test of the Bees due to the results being contaminated from untreated areas. We should be guided solely by the successes or failures of other similar lakes which have the full regimen of Solar Bees installed. Chemical treatment of lake weeds is improving each year and we hope that continues.

13.

Dan Watson does a great job!

14.

Q. 76 is really N/A

15.

Are they suppose to take care of the smell at Exployer park?

16.

Continued efforts to protect the lake quality is a primary task.

17.

None

18.

Dan Watson receives our highest commendation.

19.

This year there has been an improvement with the lake, but the pool was closed too often due to clarity. That needs to improve!

20.

When the blower is used to clean off decks, debris is blown into drinking fountains and they are creepy

21.

roads are in excellent shape; but we may be overdoing it; could some money be freed up by stretching the re-hab schedule and convert to comm. improvement items?

22.

This department should take over the cleaning of the golf locker rooms rather than the golfers having to pay someone else for this service.

23.

Fog line painting suggestion: two problems could be addressed at once with one easy change when roads are resurfaced. Make the travel width narrower by painting the fog lines several feet closer to the center of the roads. That will: (1) give a better shoulder for walkers, runners and bikers; and (2) the narrow travel lanes will slow traffic and make speeding less of a problem. Narrowing of travel lanes has been shown in all CalTrans studies to have a "calming" effect on speed.

24.

Would be nice to be able to clone Dan...

25.

Good people doing a good job.

26.

tree trimming by PWD was over the top, ruining our privacy and killing plants

27.

Why do we have to continually fight to take care of the weed problems? Why do we have the same problems with the golf course ponds and creeks? Why doesn't the budget allow for maintenance of the golf course ponds & creeks & streams? If it does, why aren't they being maintained?

28.

goose poop problems at some beaches

29.

overall good management in the department.

30.

Need fixing up and refurbishing more facilities. This is difficult with older facilities, but can be done.

31.

I have called Public Service to remove dead animals and clean out the roadside gutter several time and I am always very satisfied with the regular veteran guys.

32.

I think the roads are reconditioned too often.

33.

Need the quantity of tres on assoc. lots reduced. This would serve as a reminder to all that those little spruce trees you planted 20 years ago are now 30 feet tall and a fire hazard !!!!!

34.

The rec center was in dire need of repair, rehab, etc. The building is worn out.

35.

I see two employees motor by my house every morning in the flat working boat. They NEVER have anything (supplies, lake debris, ??) on the barge, so I wonder what they're doing motoring about? Lake clarity and reduced "weed content" MUCH improved over prior year! Good job

36.

I've always been impressed with the level of care this department provides the community.

37.

used to have drainage gutters and drive piping cleaned where has this gone for example of services we used to get?

38.

My only comment would be to watch for mold from too much water around the buildings.

39.

level the area where the paved road meets mydriveway. abuildup of repeated re surfacing the road has created a significant difference of the level of the street and the driveway. The paving of the street in continually breaking off. Also the raised level of the street makes the rear of my vehicle bump the road.

40.

We are very happy with the progress made with the lake. The maintenance department keeps the grounds, lake, beaches and other ares beautiful. We thank you!

41.

Please keep the pool warm enough for enjoyable use.

42.

Is it possible that the open spaces could be left green and weed-wacked as needed instead of killing everything with Round Up?

43.

Goose droppings on the docks

44.

I AM IMPRESSED WITH PAST COUPLE YEARS OF WORK BEING DONE ABOUT LAKE PROBLEMS. I LOOK FORWARD TO CONTINUED EFFORT IN THIS AREA.

45.

It's not the fault of LWW Public Works that we have a weed problem in the lake but we do.

46.

PAVING IS A SUBCONTRACTED ACTIVITY: ANALYSE DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES TO DETERMINE IF OTHER FUNCTIONS COULD BE SUBCONTRACTED TO REDUCE EXPENSES.

47.

Lake Wildwood Drive has had many long, deep cracks for many years, especially in the area between Jayhawk and Minnow, where I specially notice it on daily walks. In places pavement is deteriorating. CalTrans fills cracks in highways regularly to preserve the pavement. Why is similar work not done on our streets by our crews?

48.

they are good people and work hard.

49.

The area around the clubhouse and the planting areas inside the main gate need major landscaping renovations.

50.

Lake is MUCH BETTER NOW! KEEP IT UP

51.

Everyone in Wildwood should support Raul with financial aid to rebuild for his family. Thank you for making this need public, GOLFERS. If he is a PWD man they too must find ways to help him.??

52.

This group of employees works very hard and are probably underappreciated. Would also like to know if they are available during "slow times" to do odd jobs, with pay, for residents.

53.

Pool is dated and needs major upgrades

54.

The parks could be cleaner!

55.

public works is overstaffed- could save money by cutting personal

56.

We live on cul-du-sac...NO road sweaper in the last two years.

57.

It would be nice to know when our roads are going to be re-oiled. I live on Lake Wildwood Dr near Fair Oaks, and it was last done in 2003 I think. Is there a time schedule posted somewhere so we know when it will be done next??

58.

The men's restroom in the pro shop is deplorable. I am embarrassed to take a guest in there. Please do something.

59.

We have excellent Public Works employee under leadership of Dan

60.

While the Art Club had an event at Commodore Park this summer, the Public Works Department cut the Grass, drowning out most of what was said and stinking the place up with fumes. Give us a break and coordinate things!

61.

They do a good job. No complaints.

62.

We haven't lived in LWW since 2001.

63.

Youth pool always closed and dirty

64.

The pool was closed way too many times this summer! The parks need to be better maintaned as I stated earlier, as well as the boating facilities!

65.

I'm sorry but we don't tend to get involved in the operations here. We haven't been here long enough.

66.

Park restrooms were not clean when we used them. Grass bordering the lake at the parks are overgrown.

67.

The wading pool should be operational.

68.

Dan is a real asset!

69.

parks and lake work especially appreciated

70.

Last year a pump was replaced in Vista Park because of noise. The new one seems to be getting noisy now. Please ask this to be checked.

71.

I am always proud to show our ammenities to friends and family as they are always clean and well maintained.

nice to work with they are generally polite and show that they want to help.

75.

Our house is on a part of the lake that gets no help with the removal of plant life in the lake. When the lake is lowered, we clean up what we can but the neighbors don't do anything and every year we fight the plant life off our dock. No one likes swimming through the growth.

76.

again, have only lived here 6 months.

77.

The ladies bathroom showers in the pool needed more maintenance- one shower was frequently clogged, and they didn't appear to be cleaned from the previous day.

78.

Keep them doing the same things the same way.

79.

A very hard working department with an excellent leader.

80.

Our pride in lww is obviously due in great part to the good work of this dept.

81.

We are new to Lake Wildwood and will reserve our opinion on some of the above until we get better familiar with the runnings of Lake Wildwood. Thank You

82.

The goose poo thing needs DAILY attention

83.

The parks seem cleaner with the goose patrol activity. The lake did seem cleaner this year, having it lowered and cleaned will help it alot next year.

84.

The spray that was applied to Strawberry Cove has been great. The recent efforts to improve lake water quality seem to be working. For events that use Commodore Park or the Pool, it would be helpful for the rocks placed as parking barriers to be moved a bit further toward the street. People still park there and cars hang into the lanes.

85.

With the limited funds available, they do a good job.

86.

All facilities are kept clean, one never sees litter on our streets or in our parks. Our roads are well maintained. I feel the buildings have not been upgraded as they should have been, but this I feel is the fault of the past GM and past Boards of Directors.

87.

Mr. Watson has always been ready to help property owners with solid technical advice. He is an invaluable asset to our community. He probably knows where every switch and valve is located.

88.

Public Works does an excellent job at maintaining the facilities of the Association.

89.

The Marina Recreation center needs to be cleaned more regularly and I would hope that the new Community Center is cleaning regularly.

90.

I would utilize the parks and beaches if smoking was banned. The cigarette smoke always blows to where I am sitting so I end up leaving. Also, the parks would be cleaner without all of the cigarette butts all over the ground.

91.

We would like to see improvements in the parks grounds and the lake cleanliness.

92.

They do a good job of keeping LWW clean and the public areas groomed.

93.

none

94.

Please continue to encourage reduction or elimination of fertilzers and pesticides on LWW properties both HOA and privat. LWW is in a forest and if it can't grow with water alone, then it probably shouldn't be planted. Also, so much of the roads and driveways have impermeable paving. Many communities adjacent to large bodies of water are recognizing the importance of permable paving alternatives (yes, including driveways) as a way for water to percolate through the soil before it enters body of water. this reduces the the silty runoff that clouds and harms one of our biggest assests.

95.

They do an excellent job.

96.

Dan has been doing an excellent job. I have chatted w/ him on several occassions. His response has been timely & practical .... I have asked him for advice on my property , timely & practrical was his response.

97.

Suggestion: Rent Association barge to lakefront owners to ferry objects to/from property.

update pool area

100.

The enhancement to Hideway Park was well done

101.

Excellent Job, keep up the good work

102.

Great team of people.

103.

We love living here for the beauty and amenities LWW offers. The staff do a great job keeping things clean and in good shape.

104.

Takes too long to correct problems and usually not done professionally.

105.

Lake weed is a problem! It was better this year than in the last couple. I'm glad to see that they are dropping the lake again this fall to desilt & remove the weeds. The lake weed problem if not properly maintaned & taken care of would ruin this community.

106.

Litter cleanup/pickup in the parks should not be limited to the garbage cans/bins: walk the parks and gather up litter please!

107.

Need to fix the plumbing in the mens locker room.

108.

Parks are left dirty. Need some volunteer groups to pitch in and get cleaning. Idea...?

109.

Unsatisfied rating above on Question 75 pertains to the Marina Rec Room experience. I was a regular participant in the first exercise class during the week and the room was rarely clean.

110.

Cleaning and maintenance should be a top priority. We would like to rate it a 'very satisfied' next year.

111.

There are no healthy looking plantings around the golf course area and around the lounge entrance. There alot of dead plants and it looks BAD!!!

112.

There is a problem with leaf and sediment build up after rain storms at the base of Candlewood court. For the past 25 years I have to called the maintenance department to have it cleaned up. I would think by now they would have it on their schedule for clean up after storms? I have identified this area as a flooding problem in the past that needs more attention. One house in particular on the cul-de-sac is threatened with flooding and has been flooded in the past. We have done some rip rap installation on one of the drainage easments but I feel more needs to be done to mitgate the problem. This is why I am very unsatisfied with the road maintenance. This could also be a stormwater runoff issue not mentioned in item #75.

113.

Lake Committee is doing a fine job, however; more attention and funding is needed for weed removal/control.

114.

The lake weed proplem is ongoing, and not neccisariy the fault of the Public works dept., thier hands have been somewhat tied. My personall suggestion...dredge the lake deeper. Colder water will result and slow the weed problems from happening.

115.

Keep the weed out of the lake.

116.

My dissatisfaction with the pool is due to the equipment failures over the past summer. My road was sealed this summer and it seemed to me that the road was covered in so much more little pieces of asphalt which got in my car and my house and made a mess on my property. Did the association hire a new contractor this year?

117.

refer to comments in park section

118.

They are very prompt with requests! (dead animal removal...ick.) Wish NID wasn't constantly tearing up the roads...how bad are the water pipes, anyway?

119.

More control of the goose population and a reduction of the goose droppings in the parks and beaches would be appreciated.

120.

Need better advanced warnings of when weed killers are going to be put in the lake.

121.

Maybe it should be a thought to hire an outside company to care for our parks. If this were the case maybe more pride would be taken by an outside company to retain LWW's business. It sort of seems that it is more of a hinderance for the other parks to receive the same care that Commodore receives since the shed that houses the yard equipment is at Commodore Park.

122.

Debris on the streets, such as broken glass are seldom swept clean by property owners. Perhaps the property owners are expecting Public Works to sweep the streets. There is a street sweeper, right?

123.

Good job! Dan Watson - thanks!

124.

The work they do is too broad to roll into one question or to generalize.

125.

There are better and probably less expensive ways to clean up our lake without the regular use of chemicals and the big black spidery machines. They would clean up the lake for safer swimming, healthier fish and safer boating without adding to the pollution we are already experiencing and sending downstream.

126.

I feel Public Works is doing a great job

127.

Keep working on the goose poop and keeping the lake clean and lakeweed free. Landscaping around the Main tennis courts needs work.

128.

Improvement is needed - painting, upgrades, signage, mail box reform, etc

129.

My level of satisfaction for the lake is predicated on the weed problem. I know that progress is being made in this area but it seems to be very slowly evolving and I think more resources need to be applied to this as the lake is arguably the most attractive asset of of LWW

130.

Signs for the different parks are hard to see from the road. They do not show up at night. How can this be fixed? Wider spacing of letters, reflective lettering.

131.

I'd like for weeds removal to be improved from the drainage ditch at the road edge in front of my house and from the drainage ditch that comes down the hill at the side of my property where it goes under the road. This should be LWW maintenance.

132.

Dan Watson and Richard Bonning are TOPS.

133.

Dan Watson is very responsive.

134.

need street lighting for safety

135.

Very pleasant, hard working

136.

bathrooms and showers are dirty, toilet areas dirty. ladies showers have yellow mold on the wall and cracks in one wall of shower
