They seem to think they are gods an
spend spend. They want you to go to BOD meetings
and express your opinions but they have already made up there minds on issues
add could care less about your opinion. Club house management is a joke!!!
Close the resturant we do not need to loose $200k a
year from amateur managerment. |
2. |
I wrote a letter to them about a month ago with some suggestions, have yet to receive an acknowledgement. |
3. |
This satisfaction only came when Marty took the
presidency. |
4. |
Unsatisfied with the last board but have very high hopes
for this new one... |

I am not aware of any positive consideration given by the
board or general manager for those of us who are long time residents on fixed
incomes. As for myself, I moved here intending to spend the rest of my life
enjoying what Wildwood offered, however each year as new people become
residents they increasently want more & more
change & upgrade of all facilities they use & changes to the rules
they do not totally agree with. To me this is totally unfair to the many
"old timers". I realize there is a need for change, but in much
more moderation than has been done in the recent past & planned future.
If continued percentage cost increases persists, I
& other people in my position will be required to make unanticipated
drastic changes for our remaining retirement years. |

Found the past Presidents comments, reports,
whatever....to be very sarcastic and negative. This generates a spiraling
negative effect all the way down to the security guards. Does the board know
where the money from all of the fines collected is.
Where does the money go, and what is it spent on. Can't find it in the
budget. |
8. |
Thanks for all your time and hard work! |
9. |
The board appears to be very hard-working and dedicated to
the community. |
10. |
To many rules |
11. |
We believe they do an exceptional job for all residents
and are grateful they are willing to devote so much time. |
12. |
Haven't paid much attention lately. |
13. |
This past board was a breath of fresh air... they tried to
make changes and we actually saw some progress made. |
14. |
"The board appoints a General Manager". In the
15 years that I have lived here....the tail has been wagging the dog. |
15. |
Thank you for providing this survey for our opinions...it
is a good start |
16. |
Outstanding job for year 2007 - 2008 |
17. |
We have lived in Lake Wildwood for 18 years and have seen
some very bad boards. The BODs for the past two years have been excellent in
our opinion. |

Let the LWW property owners who own street motorcycles be
heard, enough of the disappointing stonewalling lately, especially with
respect to complaints about Chief Findley reserving motorcycle parking spots
for at least two of his friends. There are now over thirty registered
motorcycles parked at both gate areas but not nearly enough parking. Being a
non-motorcycle-riding property owner this problem with Chief Findley is not
good ethics. I hear the new LWW motorcycle club prez
has recently hired an out of area attorney to deal with this and other issues
regarding motorcyclists rights and lack thereof. Be aware of this problem.
You may not be due to our Board seemingly giving these property owners the
runaround. L.C. |
19. |
I read about these people and their functions in the
paper, but we really don't care what happens here because we don't like LWW
and would not live here except for the affordability when we moved here. But
we will be moving away next year. |
20. |
Last year's Board did a very good job and has moved this
community forward. The Community Center and Master Plan are a giant step in
the right direction. |
21. |
I have been impressed with the way the Board accomplished
the building program at Commadore park. |
22. |
The last Board of Directors is the best we have ever seen
here. We bougth our vacation home in 1991 and moved
here permanently in 1998. WE hope that this present board lives up to its predessors. |
23. |
The last Board had tunnel vision concerning the new Marina
building. The Swimming Pool was not even in the original budget. Swimming, as
a definite plus for the health of many members was not even considered. The
pool could have been kept open with some adjustments. I , before retiring was
a field engineer with a large contractor. I know it could have been done. |
24. |
This past year we have been very pleased at the high level
of communication from the president of the Board and commend him for that. We
trust that the new president will continue that same level of communication. |
25. |
The board discusses issues to death but rarely does
anything. They in general are prejudiced against the golf course. They do not
support their committees. Committees do research and spend hour upon hour
developing projects and recommended actions for presentation to the BOD. The
BOD then recognizes someone from the back of the room who is given more
credibility than their own committee and shuts down the project. Remember the
14th bridge that could have been done 5 years ago for $40,000 but no, A
special someone from the back of the room who "Had 30 years experience
building bridges" was allowed to render hours of Committee research and
project development useless. Now, that bridge will cost 4 times that much. |
26. |
It seems as though the board is not concerned with the
needs of non-retiree residents. Residents who are retired and are involved
with clubs, golf, etc. seem to have their needs considered. Those of us who
work, who need to travel to Grass Valley for shopping, children's classes,
etc. seem to be overlooked by the LWW administration. |
27. |
This should be a paid position, it is too much hassle to
volunteer for |
28. |
Always it seems that there are a couple long winded ones -
like Bud |
29. |
We think you do a great job and we support you all |
30. |
I feel that all elected Board members do the best they can
and make decisions that are in the best interests of Lake Wildwood while
taking into consideration the members needs and opinions. |
31. |
We would be more critical if asked about Boards of the
past, say, before 2005. But we like how the newer Boards are being more
proactive and less status quo. It seems that recent Board members are
thinking more outside-the-box and have more of a can-do attitude. We
appreciate that as well as all the work Board activities entail. Many thanks
to all of the volunteers! |
32. |
Most boards pay too much attention to the golfers, and
little to the lake users and general membership. |
33. |
They all seem to be trying to do a good job. And we think
they are doing pretty good. That is a hard job trying to please everyone. |
34. |
Takes alot of time and energy to
do this job and I thank them for this |
35. |
Would like better communication from the board regarding
programs (i.e. additional fencing)/ Would like the swimming pool hours to be
more convenient. |
36. |
The best Board performance so far has been under President
Marty D. The performance of the Lake Committee is exceptional and greatly
appreciated. |
37. |
Marty D. was a very good leader. Hope he runs for the
board again in the future. |

WE were sorry that the Board didn't follow through with
the fence to protect the Thistle Loop residents. None of the board members
live near an unfenced area and are not sensitive to the problems of those who
do/ |
40. |
the new practice of setting objectives and reporting
status is useful; keeps our mutual eyes on the ball; method of proposing commun. improvement items and getting them reviewed is
still awkward and not well understood, even by some committee members (I am
such) |
41. |
Are there any pool users or supporters on the Board? |
42. |
i believe the issue of a perimeter fence was handled
poorly. I do not live near the area in question but find the fact that you
didn't go by the safety committees suggestions and the plea from the
residents affected, a bit questionable. the expense couldn't have been that
much. Could it be it really didn't affect any of the Board members? |
43. |
We are pleased that this board has been willing to go
along with the planning committee and lake committee recommendations. |
44. |
The last two years there seems to have been an improvement
in the Board's attention to the membership and it's desire to be leaders in
the positive development of lake Wildwood. |
45. |
Recent program to improve LWW facilities is great and long
overdue. Keep it up. |
46. |
The Board Of Directors seems to be moving forward in
recent years to bring amenities up to date. |
47. |
The board, & this is not the first board, continually
tells us we can't do things. I want a board that will get things done. This
new marina clubhouse is a good example. In all reality that is where the main
clubhouse belongs. Handicap access is easy because it's level from the
parking lot to the main floor. It would be easy for delivery trucks, instead
of the current clubhouse where the boards of directors continually want to
expand that facility. It is at the point now where there is no place else to
go unless we destroy the trees and entire area. The existing clubhouse should
be open for breakfast & lunch & sandwiches for the golfers. The
marina clubhouse should be the main clubhouse open for dinner, parties, etc.
I've looked at the construction there, & I can tell you, it's already too
small. |
48. |
we would like enforcement of the rules and bylaws
regarding property cleanliness |
49. |
When our dining and bar service, year after year, loose
extreme amounts of money and our board of directors do not correct the
problem then they are doing a disservice to all members. We deserve better
management and service. I,and most I know, would
gladly patronize the club house, rather than drive to town. Lousy service
keeps us away. |
50. |
I see an improvement with the new board and new general
manager. I am pleased with this change and feel optimistic that the future
will make great strides in improving things for the LWW homeowners |
51. |
The head of the board is a joke and spending is out of
control especially with regards to security. |
52. |
Doing a good job on a difficult task. Too many different
ideas, likes, and concerns with so many different people. |
53. |
I thought Delagado did a good
job and I enjoyed reading his letters. |
54. |
With Marty Domagala as President, things finally started
to happen and things are getting done. I do hope that it continues with the
new Board and GM!! |
55. |
More than a few residents wondered why the past boards
never cashiered the past GM. |
56. |
The Board needs to understand that the GM works for all of
us! They don't answer to him. |
57. |
No opinion on the new board members yet. Marty did a great
job as president! |
58. |
Until recently, directors were too much under the control
of the General Manager and did not provide much real oversight |
59. |
They have done a good job in the face of some very
difficult issues. |
60. |
The general "census" of many long time residents
is that the board just talks and does little to act; my view is that the
recently elected board is passionate & actively working to upgrade LWW
into a higher class environment! |
61. |
board members dont appear to
consult with their members when major matters come up.too
autocraticas to their decisions. |
62. |
Past President Marty did much to improve the Board
meetings as well as running the meetings. New President should continue that
effort based upon his work on the planning committee. |
63. |
I think tickets (though I have never gotten one) for 2-3
miles over the speed limit is overkill. It is impossible to watch the
speedometer and the road at the same time and most cruise controls don't work
that accurately coming down hill or at 25 mph. |
64. |
I am concerned with the amount of money that is being
spent for improvements as opposed to the amount of money that is being taken
in. I am very much in favor of keeping the Association attractive but I
believe that, considering the present condition of our economy, too much is
being done at one time and that some of these improvements benefit only a
small percentage of the Association and are unnecessary at this time. |
65. |
many regulations are a restriction of our rights |
66. |
The last two boards have been great...... |
67. |
The last general manager was such a strong influence that
it would color any answers I might give. I need time to see the how it goes with
the new GM. |
68. |
We need to add an appeals procedure to our bylaws &
rules. |
69. |
With 2841 association members and 2841 different opinions
it is difficult to get anything done in a timely manner. Those members that
are willing to run for the board are to be commended! |
70. |
The last year or two have had an excellent BOD |
71. |
1. THE BOARD SHOULD DIRECT THE GENERAL MANAGER AS A GOAL
TO REDUCE EXPENSES BY SOME SMALL % EVERY YEAR. THERE IS ALWAYS FAT IN EVERY
ORGANIZATION. WELL RUN BUSINESS DO THIS ON AN ONGOING BASIS. 2. SPENDING FOR
IMPROVEMENTS SHOULD BE BASED ON REVENUE FROM SALE OF ASSETS, NOT ASSESSMENTS
UNTIL ASSET SALES ARE COMPLETED. |
72. |
I do think the bd. should assure that all amenities should
be treated as equally as possible including special therapy requirements
applying to the pool. |
73. |
We have only had one property related issue and it took
some time but the issue was resolved to our mutual satisfation. |
74. |
We'll have to see if things improve without Bill. It
seemed too old school secrative slimy with him. |
75. |
If these fine people have the ability to do these jobs for
us, we should help out now and then. Critics need to jump aboard or be very
quiet. ...or better yet, speak up at town hall meetings. |
76. |
It appears to me that in the 4 years we have been here,
there has not been an adequate control of costs of running the association. |
77. |
The golf course is in severe need of remodeling. The
Master Plan should be initiated at the expense of LWWA. |
78. |
Realize that many employees make very low salaries, have
to pay for a portion of their benefits and are not given any perks, such as a
discount on food at the Clubhouse. |
79. |
Need to consider spending less money. People who have
lived here over 20 years may not have the income they once had. The dues keep
going up. That akes it difficult for people o a
fixed income. |
80. |
During the employment of Bill Haushalter, in my opinion,
too much responsibility was given to the GM. Closed door sessions of the
Board were called by the GM. My understanding is that employees are not to
attend closed door sessions unless it is employee related. These sessions
must be announced in advance to the owners and anything discussed and any
votes taken are to be reported to the owners within a very short time of the
meeting. This has not been done in the past. Our GM hired the attorneys,
accountants, auditors. He let contracts for road resurfacing, lake dredging,
building projects, etc. without bids. Many building projects were done
without appropriate building permits. Examples cited were; the waterfall in
front of the clubhouse, equipment installations in the kitchen, the ice
machine at the pro shop, etc. These, and many other statements are documented
in sworn testamony from recent lawsuits. All this
was done with full knowledge of some of the Board at the time. We are
concerned that these practices place all owners liable for lawsuits. What
might happen if someone's child slips and is injured at the waterfall at the
clubhouse? |
81. |
First you wanted to build a fence between the driving
range and the first fairway. That got shot down. Now without checking with
anybody you plant three trees around the first hole, that will block my view
when grown. for many years there were no trees why now ? |
82. |
The golf course should be supported by all members, just
like the lake, the parks, the swimming pool, the dinning room, the marina and
others. |
83. |
CONTACT PREVIOUS BOARD MEMBERS TO FIND OUT HOW WE GOT FROM
THE STARTING POINT TO PRESENT. THERE IS A LOT OF KNOWLEDGE IN LWW WHICH IS
NOT USED LIKE IN THE OLD DAYS. YOU MIGHT LEARN A LITTLE HISTORY OF PREVIOSU
OPERATIONS OF LWW WHICH WORKED. |
84. |
The golfers get a reall goo deal
at "The Cheapest Golf Club in California", Lake Wildwood, at the
expense of all of us who don't play golf. This has contributed to low house
prices, excessive dues and a general screwing of all the non-golfers. |
85. |
The last couple of Boards have done very well. |
86. |
The Board of Directors has consistently failed to budget
properly and control spending. The annual basic homeowner association dues
have grown to ridiculous levels and there are constantly new proposals to
spend more and more money on items which address only a very small minority
of homeowners. The Board of Directors has also had a history of being very
fascistic in proposing sales of lots and other means to raise money or add to
the homeowner base in LWW to generate more money for them to play with. There
seems to be little fiscal responsibility or accountability. Recently a 10% or
more cost overrun was used as an excuse to impose more fees/hikes - yet the
person(s) responsible for the blown cost estimate did not lose their job and
probably even got a raise and a bons for this
screw-up. In private industry, those persons should be held accountable for
their screw-up. The BOD also gets involved in ridiculous minutae
of imposing more and more restrictions on private property use - for example,
several years back, some "genius" got the BOD to impose a screening
requirement on all propane tanks - until the fire dept nixed that. There were
also proposals to require color-coded covers for boats, RVs, etc. - a similar
restriction on childrens playtoys
and playsets in perople's
yards was put forth - some of these little wannabe dictators should find
something to occupy their time rather than thinking up yet MORE silly
restrictions on other people's properties. I often wonder if the BOD is not
just composed of a bunch of angry old men whos main
hobby is yelling at kids "Get off my grass." while not paying any
attention to the ever-growing spending and annual dues. |
87. |
I dont feel that the decisions
they make alway reflect the wishes of the
association members. And when their is a decision to be made they drag their
feet. Also the board seems to be a popularity contest and not all the members
are qualified. |
88. |
Very glad Househalter is out -
maybe now things will get accomplished. Drop the monetary gift for employees
at eh end of the year - very tacky! |
89. |
THE BOD HAVE DONE AN EXCELENT JOB. |
90. |
They have been totally controlled by the General Manager.
Tail has been wagging dog! Their has not been an openess
to the members (owners). Too often decisions and dialect has not been in the
interest of the majority of the home owners. |
91. |
Board decisions tend to be slanted to our retired
population and not to improving or maintaining the overall value of the
community and community amenties |
92. |
I admire the people who volunteer for the BOD. It's a
thankless job. |
93. |
they treat renters and motorcyle
owners as second class citizens |
94. |
only lived here a 8 months |
95. |
Lead us into the 21st Century in terms of facilities and
operations! |
96. |
The previous boards have not been willing to face the
reality of our facilities aging. Replacement reserves are underfunded...golf
course fees are too low to maintain the course properly. The board needs to
act as real management and not as a group more concerned with popularity than
good governance. |
97. |
good planning, implementation and info sharing by recent
boards, still too early to say if this pattern will be continued by this
board |
98. |
Appreciate the hard work AND the open communication. |
99. |
We are refering to the past
board/GM. We have no idea what is in front of us. |
100. |
The last board of directors finally stood up and did their
jobs. Previously it seemd like all the board did
was rubber stamp whatever the general manager wanted, particularly when it
came to ignoring the deteriorating condition of the lake. |
101. |
Once in a while in the 25 years I have lived here a
committee will make a foolish decision such as only "brown tarps"
or no equiptment (basketball, etc. ) in the front
yard, but when members complain it gets taken care of. |
102. |
The board needs to listen to the opinions of the various
appointed committee suggestions (inclulding the adhoc committees) and not allow their opinions to be
overly influenced by 'inside the beltway thinking'. |
103. |
I do not feel that the Board of directors really does not
take into consideration that not all residents of Lake Wildwood have
unlimited incomes. A lot of residents are on fixed incomes such as myself.
With the economy being what it is some of the proposed costly renovations
will price a long time resident such as myself out of the community I love. A
perfect example is the new Marina Rec center that
is considerly over budget already. I cant imagine
how much other projects may cost this community and its residents. Also for
many years our Clubhouse has been subsidized by our members we have had
meetings upon meetings to discuess what can be done
about this problem and nothing has changed. I love this community and find it
truly a beautiful place to live with its casual atmosphere, it does not need
to be turned into some very expensive, exclusive, country club like
Winchester which is in bankruptcy. |
104. |
Starting to do a good job. |
105. |
none |
106. |
people should be allowed to drive a motor scooter/motorcycle,in a strictly controled
environment, from their garage through the gate and
return! there must be a game management policy where we only allow game
within the community that the natural growth will sustain! we only get people
to run for the board who want to satisfy a big ego! |
107. |
Satisfied EXCEPT for the lack of support for keeping the
swimming pool open in the past. |
108. |
Normally, the majority of the Board Members are very alutristic individuals and a credit to the Association. |
109. |
We appreciate the way Marty keep us informed in the Bits
& TWI - please continue |
110. |
Satisfaction is getting better - communications of the
previous president were welcome. The seeming lack of concern for the amenity
called the pool is lamentable. |
111. |
I am not quite sure how the LWWA and board operate. Since
living at LWW I do not remember being asked or voting on various decisions
that are made. |
112. |
The Board of Directors should be working for the people of
Lake Wildwood instead of trying to further their own agendas and dictating
what they will do or not do. I don"t think a
board member should be allowed to work on a project that is of personal
interest to him or her. It appears that too many people have gotten on the
board to further their personal interests. |
113. |
Marty started the trend of management by objectives. The
believe the new board members will continue this idea. |
114. |
With the new General Manager on board I'm sure it will be
more democratic. Member's open comments could be moved up to the miccle of the meeting. Discussion time is shortened at
meetings end. |
115. |
Within the last two years there has been a marked
improvement in the leadership and actions of the BOD. We're very excited
about the new Community Center, and we look forward to other improvements to
LWW's infrastructure. |
116. |
That is a no win job. Can't give everyone what they want.
Some want only one item to benefit like but not only golf. |
117. |
The BOD does not demonstrate that they have the best
interest of LWW at heart. They do not get the facts before they leap. They
give too many differing answers to the same questions over time. They do not
listen. If one does not agree with a board member they are blackballed. |
118. |
The Board has improved greatly each year we have been a
member. The current Board is outstanding. |
119. |
They are doing a job that I would not want to do. Serving
the public is not easy! |
120. |
We are new to Lake Wildwood and will reserve our opinion
on some of the above until we get better familiar with the runnings of Lake Wildwood. Thank You |
121. |
***ONLY SATISFIED FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS*** |
122. |
we feel the board of directors were puppets of the general
manager and did not at in the better interest of the home owners. when
questioned on various subjests in board meeting, we
were either told to sit down or shut up and sit down. the previous board
president was more than pompous a #$%. |
123. |
The last 2 boards were outstanding. Before that,
questionable. It took good leadership. |
124. |
Very biased towards the retired/golf community - need to
spread your wings... |
125. |
We have a diverse and very talented Board--lots of brains,
forward thinking, but fiscally responsible. The new Community Center is going
to be a great asset to our community. |
126. |
We are pleased to see the Board is taking a proactive
stance in upgrading and maintaining the LWW environment and facilities. While
many of the special facilities; e.g., golf, tennis, boating, bocce ball, etc.
help maintain property values, they need more support from the users, and
maybe somewhat less from the non-users. Progress is being seen on the
necessary items as expansion around the Marina and hopefully the start on a
new Clubhouse, and we are pleased about that. We have been in favor of
one-time assessments for a long time, the fear is that there would be many
one-time assessments, all adding up to very high total annual fees. |
127. |
Response is for past two years only. |
128. |
I'm happy people are willing to serve on the board. |
129. |
We have been very pleased with the way the current board
president conducts his leadership and board activities in a transparent way.
Great job! |
130. |
The last Board was very good; the present one hasn't been
in office long enough to know. |
131. |
The current board is a very hard working group that has
taken charge of our Association in a very positive way. I am concerned that
with changes in board membership this could change. Our Board needs to keep
moving forward with the master plan and to insure we always have a general
manager that works for all of us. |
132. |
We will appreciate the same kind of care and concern from
the new Board as we had from the Board under the guidance of Marty Domagala. |
133. |
I have served on a very powerful BOD in the Palm Springs
area and from what I have observed here there is nothing different. Everyone
has their own opinion and when a BOD is in sink all seems well, but when they
differ all sorts of rumors and problems begin to surface. I sympathize with
anyone willing to expose themselves to the stress that goes with the service. |
134. |

Previous board and GM were excellent. Costs were kept
under control, except perhaps for unneeded bathroom at Hideaway Park.
Facilities were well-maintained. We have no experience with present
administration. |

When agenda items are known to be of interest to a large
number of attendees, place them early in the agenda and place consent items
and the rest later in consideration of people who have come to address the
items of interest. Don't allow packing the crowd with attendees who are not
Wildwood members who voice support or opposition to issues before the Board.
At the swimming pool/versus Marina construction meeting, there were a number
of people who spoke who did not identify themselves as members. |

We are not full-time residents but now that we are retired
we do spend more time up here; we still need to form our own opinions. Just
as an FYI, in social gatherings we hear dissatisfaction with many different
aspects of the board. |
137. |
Board of Directors is competent and work hard for the
betterment of our Association. |
138. |
I think with the down turn in the economy we should be
protecting the facilities we have instead of building new facilities (new rec center). |
139. |
Last year's director was FABULOUS! I hope the new board
will continue to communicate as well and keep the improvements going! We need
to continue to update our community to improve quality of life and enhance
property values. |

I have written a letter to the board of directors a few
months ago. I never heard back from them, only Bill Haushaulter,
what a letter. |

thank you to all the people who serve and have served on
the board. I know how much work it is. Once my wife and I retire to LWW, we
will gladly volunteer our service. |
146. |
We are generally satisfied with the board's performance,
but very dissatisfied with their recent decision regarding fencing along
Pleasant Vaalley Road north of the North Gate. The
existing three-strand barbed-wire fence is broken in sevral
locations, and replacement with a chain link fence similar to that used on
most of the LWW border is warranted. It would provide added security, it
would discourage the occasional trespasser, might reduce the deer migration,
and it would not make LWW look like "an armed compound." |
147. |
Did not appreciate the explanation given for not passing
the fencing program. ???where the alloted money
went. |

Under Marty's tutledge it has
improved greatly ... Mike has some big shoes to fill, however after last
nights meeting I think he can do it (it will be tougher as he admits to write
the president's letter to the same level ... as a suggestion he might want to
hire Marty as his "name de plume". |

After living here for 30 years, I have seen SO many
changes (both good and bad), and have lots of ideas. But the board seems to
conduct most of their business (committees) when working people are not
available. I would like to know a lot more about the process of selecting the
General Manager. Actually, I would like the community to vote on who the GM
should be. I would like individual community meetings to take place in LWW,
people in various areas of LWW have different concerns. Recently I had
occasion to drive by the AWFUL GETTO of LWW located over by the back entrance
to the school. HOW could the board allow "that" exist in our
private association? |
153. |
The roads and other amenities are in very good repair. The
annual assessment is an extreme bargain. Everyone on the staff is really
nice. |
154. |
Currently very satisfied. Please don't go back to the do
nothing days. |
155. |
I am very much appreciate the commitment and work the
Board does to keep Lake Wildwood one of the best gated communitees
in the world. |
156. |
Amend the no dog in the park rule and update the pool! |
157. |
Not as active as we once were with the Board but think
Lake Wildwood is very well run. |
158. |
Would like to see each item addressed regarding the Board
and Security more on an individual basis. Some things just can not go
"by the book" |
159. |
We are living in a community that is aging and needs
improvements to the infrastucture, however costs
must be controlled as we also live in a community of fixed incomes. I believe
that we do need to spend money to continue the level of quality that we all
moved here for, but believe that restraint is needed and understanding that
it will take time to complete all the projects that are being clamored for. |
160. |
The board has improved . |
161. |
I feel that changes should be incorporated which breaks
the barrier between "owners" and "non-owners" as a whole
we are governed by the few and many of the few, as stated previously, treat
"renters" as less than. Many of the functions of LWW are based on
this biased premise. |
162. |
I don't feel younger association members, with children,
are taken into consideration during decisions. |
163. |
The Board should take a more directed approach to manageing the operations of some of the amenities. eg. the clubhouse is not being managed properly by the
clubhouse manager and general manager and the Board should take appropiate action to correct this situation. |
164. |
The Board should pay more attention to security issues and
performance or lack thereof |
165. |
I believe they work hard and probably get little thanks. I
checked Satisfied because there is always room for improvement. |
166. |
I think some of the rules are ABSOLUTELY Ridiculous. |
167. |

Board needs to be stronger in managing the clubhouse

169. |
Board members need our support and thanks. We appreciate
their time and energy. When things go wrong we too often blame, and when
things go right that is too often what we expect and forget to say thank you. |
170. |
Marty did a great job, now we will wait to see how things
play out this year. My hat is off to all the Board of Directors. They put in
many hours on our behalf and we thank them for it. Just be fair to all and
listen to us all. |
171. |
continue to keep "outside" housing developments
away from our fences and not allow them use of LWWA water and sewer
treatment. |
172. |
It disturbs me that the board does not enforce the
CC&R's. |
173. |
the members of the board seem to be progressive |
174. |
1) In the past I have sent letters to the board and never
received a response? So pretty much think they do not listen to members. 2) I
have applied to be on committees and been rejected every time even though I
am considered an expert in the subject area needed by the committee I applied
for membership. So as a result I feel unappreciated as a LWWA member. 3. I
watched board meetings or town hall meetings on the local TV station and
think many of the board of directors act defensive and unresponsive to member
comments. 4) I have recieved poor advice from LWWA
business office workers which cost me over $87,000 dollars in a law suit. |
175. |
Please keep money in the budget for future capital
investments. Our infrastructure is old. We seem to just "patch"
things up. We need to re-do the clubhouse totally. Household assessment is
probably the answer. |
176. |
It was the BOD that bothered me. It was the GM. I went to
one BOD meeting and said I'd never go back. Hopefully this will now change |
177. |
Let's not overexpand amenities. |
178. |
Marty D. did a great job communicating to the general
population. Hope the current board follows his lead. |
179. |
Good Job, and Thank You for your hard work and service to
the community |
180. |
We think Lake Wildwood is run more like a 55+ community
and with more families with children moving in, regardless if they are
tenants, it needs more family emphasis in our community. |
181. |
lot better than they were years ago. Lynda Pryor is
excellent |
182. |
I think the Board bows to the squeekiest
wheels(groups with lots of time on thier hands),
instead of having a vision for the future, the Board has knee jerk reactions
to the problems as they arise, or spend money on groups of people that are in
thier face the most. This survey is a great step
toward understanding the general needs of the residence here, I hope the
Board will take in this information and implement the great feedback and
ideas within! |
183. |
We are told that even if we vote down an expansion of the rec facility, an expansion is going to happen anyways,
and then raise rates to pay for it. Same as the clubhouse. It does not turn a
profit, yet we keep pouring money into it, like the government bailout of the
banking system. |
184. |
These folks work hard. Thank You. |
185. |
Went to one meeting about the possible pool closeure...Seems like a few of the members were pretty
grumpy. |
186. |
I am very happy at the direction the Board has taken in
the last year or so. It seems that there is much more transparency and a
willingness to be communicative with the association members. I was pleased
that the Board listened to the voice of the members in keeping the pool open
during the summer for swim team and glad that they have instituted more
"checks and balances" into their system so that our community is
not being run by the will of one general manager. I think all the changes
that have occurred over the last year have been very positive and have
benefited our community. |
187. |
BOD appear not fully comprehend the consequences of the
decisions. Additionally, it is my belief that most BOD members operate at serogates for the their social groups and not the LWW
members at large. |
188. |
Unanimous committee recommendations are not acted upon by
the board. i.e. fencing, Fair Oaks gate. |
189. |
Wish the Lake had a littel
higher level of influence / support compared to the incredibly high support
for the gold course. It seems like everything the golf members want, they
get. It is "Lake Wildwood". Without the lake, what would it be?
Just another golf course. |
190. |
We think they work very hard. |
191. |
Hope they keep in mind some of us do not have a lot of
income. Having retired when wages & homes were worth less. |
192. |
It seems the Golf Course takes priority over all other
things including security. I was dissapointed with
the decision for the funds that were allocated for the pereimeter
fencing on the north side of the North gate were redirected to the golf
course. I constantly see non members access LWW by just stepping over the two
strand barbed wire fence at street level, yet there is perimeter fencing
south of the north gate that is on the top of a hill that would be impossible
for someone to climb up from the road. Why am I paying the salary of the gate
attendant if some one can just walk out of their sight and hop over the poor
excuse of a fence that currently exists. |
193. |
Don't try to provide activities/facilities that are easily
available outside our community at great cost to our members. |
194. |
In the past we feel there has not been any control over
the finances and day to day operation of the many segments of the
Association. There is no real accounting records of each and every item
purchased and sold in the bar. I also feel the same way about the resturant. Some of the charges for simple golf course
meetings and dinnners seem to be far more than
justified considering the quality of the food (Hamberger/Hotdog
buffet) that is served. The chage for wine is again
over priced for the value, and the charge for "Corking" good wine,
while it has been reduced on special occasions, is still too high. If the resturant facilities are going to be run at a loss and
subsidized each year by the budget, then let it be so and stop asking the few
customers to try and pay for the whole resturant. |
195. |
Board has done more in recent years and good communicating
with it's members. |
196. |
Some individuals seem to have an agenda and have deaf ears
when listening to opposing comments. And sometimes it appeared they did not
want to go against one another. |
197. |
Marty Domogala and his troops
really got the ball rolling toward bringing our wonderful community up to the
standards that will serve us all. The new board appears to be following the
plan. Thank you! |
198. |
Is anyone listening to members who want pool open ALL -
YEAR!!!!! |
199. |
please listen to long time residents who live on fixed
incomes |
200. |
MORE OVERSITE ACCOUNTABILITY OF ANUAL STATEMENT |
201. |
Not very responsive to the community, not progressive,
does not seem to use association dues for much other than the golf course.
Does not implement much change in order to make Lake Wildwood a nice place to
live for everybody. Voting process is abysmal and favors little change or
anything new. |
202. |
The board needs to remember they're here to help, not
control. |
203. |
The last 3 years have improved and I am encouraged by how
plans have developed. |
204. |
I have hope that the present board and the new general
manager will move the association forward in a positive, business like manner
to improve the ammenties and services without
significant increases in dues or assessments. I would begin with an
assessment of present expenses and are we getting good value for what we
have/are spending now on ammenities and services. |
205. |
In this time of economic downturn, we're hoping the Board
will consider the monetary difficulties of the Members and not increase the
assessment this year and will also use common sense in disapproving spending
for items not absolutely necessary to the operation of the Association. |
206. |
I am grateful that we have members who are willing to
serve. |
207. |
The board in the past was directed too much by the
previous manager. |
208. |
Present and recent board members are doing great job. Past
boards have left much to be desired. |
209. |
Members should have more say about expenditures such as
the overly expensive master plan. We are in a recession! |
210. |
it takes forever to get something done. they really don't
want anyones opinion |
211. |
Allow more anonymous votes- people afraid of retaliation.
All have "own agenda" (i.e.) "stick together on votes" |
212. |

The present day board is one of the best that we're had. |

I feel the Cedar room prices sghould
reflect the Pine Room prices for LWW groups. |
