The pool needs to be open year round. Let us know what a winter membership would cost and allow us to sign up for it. It is a huge dissapointment that our pool closes in the Fall. We need it for our health.

2.

Pool is closed at the end of August when the weather is still warm enough for a swim. More aqua aerobics classes year round should be offered. Why have a pool if it s not opened all year round? Why pay for a pool that is not available a great deal of the time? This is included in our Annual Fees and yet not available most of the the year.....Really !

3.

my husband and I use the pool very little. Our garanddaughter is employed as assistant recreation director so she is at the pool daily.

4.

concrete hard to walk on

5.

The pool suffers from years of neglect. Equipment does not work. The condition of the water varies from not usable to OK. There is not enough capacity in the pool for some of the exercise classes.(The pool is too small). The support building is both worn out and fairly ugly. Not a place to take guests or potential real estate customers.

6.

Keep pool open in winter, offer classes during day for adults and after school classes for kids.

7.

The pool should be open almost year around. The air-blown cover was a complete waste of money with it's current use. If the issues are the lack of lifeguards, change the isurance carrier. I know that most residential community pools do not have lifeguards. Lets put some responsibilty where it belongs.

8.

like to see longer swim season/year round availability.

9.

open year round

10.

Board of Directors should have found a way to keep the pool open Aug., Sept., & Oct. of 2008 even with nearby construction. It could have been done if the Board really wanted to do so. Also, the diving board should have been kept. The children of LWW really enjoyed the use of the diving board.

11.

how about keeping it OPEN for the whole season (May through October) at least!!We would only hope that when the construction is complete, the pool's age will be addressed & it will be brought up to standards that we should expect from a pool as an amenity, similar to other amenities here, which we all enjoy participating in, & in all seasons.

12.

It apears that the pool equipment or maintenance procedures need change. I understand this activity is ongoing. Please continue to resolve problems with water quality and heating.

13.

There are no morning hours at the pool. For those of us with young children who take afternoon naps and have early bed times, the pool hours basically keep us out of the pool entirely. Some accommodation should be made for residents who would like to use the pool during morning hours. Even one hour would suffice as, for very small children, an hour is enough.

14.

Not open long enough; should be open all year; not enough shade...so I don't use it; cover for use in winter

15.

Wish it was covered so we could use it all year

16.

I would like to see some of the swim lessons classes have smaller numbers. I don't think the children have enough instruction in the small amount of time allocated. I'd also like to see private lessons available if possible.

17.

The LWW association dues should include the Pool as an Amenity-just as it does for Golf & Tennis. I can no longer enjoy Golf or Tennis, but am glad it is available to all. I need the Pool for my well being and enjoyment of life, and cannot understand why it has not become an AMENITY!

18.

The restroom / dressing rooms need to be updated and made more functional. A heated and efficient therapy / exercise facility could use the same basic pool site and infrastructure. We need to look at fees to cover the expense of providing the swimming facility - like golf.

19.

It seems that the pool is closed too often due to water clarity. Is ths because of the filtering system? Does it ned to be replaced or upgraded?

20.

We bought at LWW with the understanding that the pool would be open in the winter. The pool is a crucial health and exercise program for many of us seniors. The pool needs refurbishing, both inside and out, better filtration equipment, new decking, and a full year schedule for swimming. Our association dues pay for the golf course and lake (and new facilities) which many do not use, yet the majority membership won't support the modest outlay of funds to keep the pool in good shape and available. We should use the winter cover that we paid for. We have attended board meetings, written supportive letters, but are ignored for the most part. Most first-class private communities manage to support their pools. It's time for the LWW to fix this amenity- it might even encourage greater use.

21.

pool needs to be open all year for water aeorbics or lap swim, put the cover on and heat the pool. so many residents need it for physical therapy or general exercise.

22.

1. It is very difficult to use a swimming pool that is closed. We should be moving toward a year round and more of the day and evening availability of the facility. 2. More shady areas should be developed. As it stands to use the pool or the surrounding area you must be in the direct sun. The negative effects of exposure to sun are well known and we are not serving our population well by not providing relief from that exposure.

23.

Too many restricted hours

24.

should be open all year around...why else did we buy the cover?

25.

Why isn't our pool open yearround? We spent a lot of money on a cover that we used two years ago for a few months. That's all. Our former general manager lied to all of us when he said it would add over $90.00/ year to our assessment for each lot. In a letter from one of the then board members, the actual cost per lot was just barely over $30.00. $30.00, $40.00 or $100.00 is a small price to pay to have the facility open year round!

26.

we were disappointed the construction in the pool area forced it to close earlier than normal this year, but we understand

27.

satisfied with the pool which is great, very unsatisfied that is is closed so many months of the year with a cover just rotting away!

28.

Would like to have the pool covered in the winter

29.

Needs to be open more

30.

We spent all that money on the pool and then you close it every year. The cost is too high for a swim membership. Lower the price, get more people to sign up and keep it open in the winter as a heated pool and offer classes there.

31.

I think it is a shame that the pool is not available year around. The pool should be show-cased by LWW, along with the other amenities that the questionnaire has addressed.

32.

Reinstall the diving board.

33.

Why can't we use the diving platform? The diving board was removed, and now no one can dive into the pool.

34.

Down time too freguent. Bathrooms are an embarrassment and locker rooms too. I don't take guests to the pool because I'm ashamed of these facilities.

35.

Would like to see it heated and available twelve months of the year. We have the bubble to use.

36.

If we are not going to use the cover I think we should sell it and recoup some of the money.

37.

It's a shame to close before the Labor Day weekend and winter.

38.

Keep the pool OPEN at the very least through out the warmer months, from May through October. Use the cover and keep it open in the winter months as well.

39.

It should be open for more months of the year. Why do we have a cover, if we don't use it during the cooler months?

40.

It would be nice if there was a consistent year around schedule so you did not need to look up the hours each time you wanted to use the pool. I would also use it more often if it were open year round.

41.

it should be open all year to accomodate members who require water therapy and exercise for various health issues. This is equally as important as golf.

42.

Those people not from LWW who are members of the various swim programs should pay far more than they do.

43.

We miss the diving board. We hope it will be replaced. The lifeguards are very good with the kids and seem to enjoy what they are doing. The bathrooms are always kept up. THank you

44.

In summertime, when our family and grandkids come to swim, pool never open ....swim teams meets, or whatever? Seems too often when you WANT the pool. Our grandkids swim in BARACUDA Meets in ELDoradoHills, which we attend...and they prefer pool over the lake...but we USE the lake because no pool available. But we realize you cannot please everybody. I feel the use of the pool seems more important to non-golfers....and, of course, to kids.

45.

Pool should be open year round.

46.

None

47.

swimming pool cover is not being used for year around swimming........pool closes too early after summer use.....pool closes at noon during use for an hour then re-opens for afternoon session......most inconvenient......should remain open for use all day........

48.

dirty, dingy, old looking, surrounded by an ugly chain link fence....want to see unappealing- try using the bathrooms/changing rooms.....how about a fitness/exercise room for working out?

49.

Life guard/instructors are great!!!

50.

-replace diving boards- lap swimming during winter months

51.

It is too bad the pool was not open longer this summer. I bought a discounted ticket for aerobics classes, and the pool closed. I trust the ticket will be valid next year!!!!

52.

I'm glad we were able to have the pool open this summer. It is such a wonderful addition to our community. I do wish it was open longer on Tues/Thurs, having to get out of the pool at 4:30 on a hot summer afternoon is hard!

53.

The pool really should be open year round, especially for those who need regular water exercise or therapy.

54.

the pool needs to be updated and open longer

55.

The pool is one of the key rec facilities that LWW offers, however it is not open enough. Especially this year when repairs were done. But on any given year, the availability should be extended including the hours. We really like the pool and it is great for kids' parties as well as adult use.

56.

The pool should be open year round, we have the bubble! We also need a diving board!

57.

Would like to see expanded dates and hours of operation.

58.

We do not use the pool but when our grandchildren come for a visit they love it but use it only about 10 times a year. I don't think we should have to pay extra for each time they use it.

59.

The pool hours should be extended! There are so few hours for families to swim, especially working parents who do not get home from work until after 6 PM.

60.

It seems the Open swim hours are so limited, as are the snack bar hours.

61.

The cost of operating the pool would be a lot lower if lifeguards were not required at times when they are superfluous. I.E. during classes when experience and trained instructors are present. The pool is currently supported financially in large part by a portion of our assessments. We believe the pool should be fully financed from the assessment. The collection of fees from guests, is inconvenient, embarrassing, and petty. No appartment/condominimum complex, resort, hotel, etc, that has a pool, charges a use fee for members/guests. It is just part of the facilities. The amount that the assessment would have to increase to fully cover the cost of pool operation, is minimal and would simplify both administration and convenience for patrons.

62.

It would be nice if the pool were open year round.

63.

don't use it much...but old and ugly and tired and in need of updating

64.

The cover needs to be on during the winter season which would increase pool activities and revenue.

65.

Would like the pool to be covered in the winter so it can be used to continue excerise program. The summer season is short and one must find alternatives, for older people water excerise is the best.

66.

Would like it opened year round. Excercise is not just a summer sport it is necessary year round for those who cannot do regular excercises.

67.

More open swim hours

68.

deep water aerobics more frequently (in past only 2 days a week )

69.

Many home owners don't know about buying the pass and free swimming...Put it in the Bit's Tell them about the open swimming times

70.

Would be more satisfied if pool were available for water aerobics for more months. We do not believe 2 life guards are necessary all of the time. Other pools we have belonged to allowed water exercise classes and lap swimming when no life guard was on duty with just a sign, "SWIMM AT YOUR OWN RISK" up. The members of these two pools had many more lawyer members than LWW could possibly have and there was never a problem of a law suit. Cutting back on life guards during certain periods would certainly reduce the operating costs.

71.

It would really be nice to be able to swim all year long

72.

we need more umbrellas. there are too few. i don't like to swim. but with 1 year old it was the place to be this summer and i appreciated how clean it was and the convenience of being able to buy baby diapers at the entrance.

73.

First of all the pool must be added to the association's priority list! I suggest starting that we stop looking backward at what was and who did what to whom. DO feasibility studies. Look at pool costs, honestly. Take a new look at our under-utilized amenity. If the pool were improved and available for usage year-round, the usage would be greater. Understandably, fuel costs for maintaining the temperature of the pool is a key. The pool is sited in such a way that solar energy could and should be utilized for heating. We have been told that it was tried before and it didn't work. The solar technology of previous years is obsolete and at the very least the feasibility of solar heating the pool should be explored. Costs are costs - even if there were a facility similar to ours in the surrounding communities, transportation costs would be a factor in using it. Many of the pool people would willingly increase their usage fees to decrease some of the costs of heating the pool. Cost-benefit studies should be initiated to determine the addition of a solar heating system, as well as the capital replacement of a non-energy efficient pool heater. There has to be some way to make this work. Even in the worst days of weather, the pool was used when the cover was in place. I know - I was there. Many of us require the water exercises to maintain physical fitness and mobility, not just the over 60 crowd either.

74.

I love the pool and all the classes that have been offered these past two years. I really enjoy having the classes everyday. Would love to see the pool open in the winter too with the bubble up. In other words, would like year-around swimming,

75.

Wish in the summer when evenings are long that each day had longer open swim (even in just part of the pool) With the hours it was difficult to squeeze in afterwork and dinner. Missed the kiddie pool this year, and would generally like the pool to be open many more days per year like last year-maybe mid October? Once it gets into the holidays and dark early and cold- we probably wouldn't use the pool too much until May. It would be nice if it opened a bit earlier in the spring too- just by a few weeks though like May 1.

76.

at times to much chlorine

77.

Need heated pool in fall, winter and spring

78.

No comments, wait until next year.

79.

Like many others, I would like to see the pool opened year-round. I understand that there is an additional cost involved in the upkeep and heating of the pool, and that may require additional fees to be charged to users. That fee could be added to the yearly assessment as is the fee to play tennis.

80.

I cannot understand just why there is no coverred swimpool for winter usage.

81.

Eliminate closure of pool due to health risks

82.

LWW must seriously look at providing year-round swimming and aquatics. The demand is ever increasing, we are an "older" community and water exercise and therapy opportunity is essential. It's past time to clean up the pool changing and rest rooms. The look will need to be changed when the new Community Center is completed. Is this on our Master Plan? With the new Community Center, will there be better/more food selection available to families visiting the swim area?

83.

Pool should be open until mid-September.

84.

Facilities need update, perhaps this will occur with Rec Center remodel

85.

We are new to Lake Wildwood and will reserve our opinion on some of the above until we get better familiar with the runnings of the Swimming Pool. Thank You

86.

Last year we saw a cover over the pool and not this year. Too bad -- with a cover we would use the pool more.

87.

More hours for open swim during the summer and a longer swim season would be great!

88.

just wish the pool was opened longer- ie all year long

89.

Important asset even though are use is limited.

90.

This is the most popular amenity in Lake Wildwood and the most poorly managed. This needs serious attention.

91.

Pool is looking pretty old.

92.

No need for lifeguards for adult swim. No excuse for more than 2 on duty. Recommend a modest use fee for all swimmers including children. A fee equal to one McDonald's drink is not a burden on anyone.

93.

Would like a return of winter water aerobics- This allowed for a continuation of the program without any interuptions.

94.

Let got the pool going all year around.

95.

I would use an all year swim complex but wish for at least a 7 -8 month long pool usage.

96.

I would very much like to see the pool be available year round or at least 10 months and to use the bubble which was purchased for this purpose.

97.

pool schedule needs to be revised to permit open swim earlier in the evening. to accomplish this means moving the swim team practice to the morning. this would allow more people open swim time.

98.

Need longer swim season. All-year would be great exercise for my old bones

99.

Use the tent-cover in winter and heat the pool so it is warm enough for winter outdoor temperatures. The year I used it in winter, it was fit for polar bears in the water.

100.

Would like to see pool stay open all year for water aerobics.

101.

We should have stuck with a year round pool with key card access instead of having to have lifeguards there all the time. I want the pool open year round.

102.

I have heard comments that lifeguards are sometimes inattentive and there are too many of them for water aerobics.

103.

THE POOL SHOULD BE A YEAR ROUND AMENITY!!!!! The cover was purchased and is now sitting being wasted. We understand that this year is an exception due to construction but the hours and swim season are far too short.

104.

The snack bar and rental boats is not on a reliable schedule. The snack bar could offer better food and healthier food. What about on Friday Saturday and Sunday an open Bar B Que

105.

I swim everyday in the swimming season. I think the pool should be checked for repairs before the swimming season opens to the pool is ready to go and is not shut down due to repairs after the season begins. This pool is the main reason I bought in Lake Wildwood and I think it is important to keep it in good condition so it will be available for use during the May through September season.

106.

Year round swimming is healthy, great for the muscles and terrific on the joints. Why did we pay for a pool cover if we can't use it? If people find it so ugly, let's hire someone to paint a mural on it.

107.

none

108.

the pool should be open year round

109.

I wish the pool could be covered and heated for use during the winter months.

110.

I would like to have use of the pool year around. Would probably swim laps if available and heated.

111.

Bettys aerobic classes are outstanding

112.

At least 78 degrees during winter months, test the pool everyday, and clean it at least one a month during the summer months

113.

We need an indoor lap pool so water aerobics could be offered all year long.

114.

I wish the hours were longer and the cover would be put back up so in the winter, and other outside activities are not available, it would be usable.

115.

It would be nice to have activities scheduled with more attention being paid to members that work a 9-5 work week. Also, I would appreciate some of the association dues being paid by me be put towards replacing the old pumps and upgrading the pool. Seems all our association fees are going towards keeping the golf course up and nothing towards maintaining the pool!

116.

year round pool use

117.

Often times I have observed the lifeguards talking and enjoying each others company, which is how it should be, however, they should not pay more attention to each other and not the kids in the pool. I've seen more than once, no attention to the swimmers, luckily, no one was in danger.

118.

The pool needs to be heated, even in the summer

119.

We have a keen desire to have the pool open year-round. We are willing to support efforts to make that happen, including increased dues.

120.

I anticipate great change with the new recreation center.

121.

Lap swim hours are not good for those who work during the day. I can't make it back early enough in the evening to enjoy. We just had a baby, so will likely increase our swimming pool useage in the next few years.

122.

The murkiness of the water this past season was a major dissapointment, i hope we know how to repair the pool. Also, no diving board is very sad for a summer pool.

123.

We need a year round covered pool, that is kept at a constant temperature of 80 degrees

124.

I would like to see the pool open all year--we have a cover which is not being used. I would rather pay a monthly fee here in LWW instead of driving into GV or NC to use the very inadequate pools there Our facilities & instructors here are great--let's use them

125.

Please use the pool cover this winter. I know it seems expensive, but we bought it, and water is the best therapy I have. Also, rumor or not, appearence we don't use the cover so as not to block an administrators view is terrible. Please, lets use this great asset this winter.

126.

The pool should be open all year.

127.

use debit or LWW club card so swimmers dont have to carry money to the pool. setting up accounts and card use will allow more freedome and LWWA "profit" from debit or bluetooth type accounts.

128.

Would like winter swimming w/cover & heated & Willing to pay for it !

129.

I think that there should be year -round swimming available

130.

Longer season for lap swiming

131.

the lifeguards need to be more interested in the patrons. Pay more attention to what's not only going on in the pool, but AROUND the pool area. They could be more helpful and more friendly.

132.

We don't use it as much as we probably should. Too bad the community can't support it all year round.

133.

We think it is absolutely ridiculous to charge a fee to use the swimming pool after paying a monthly association fee.

134.

The dressing areas are pretty grim

135.

Bring back the diving board!!!!!!!!! please put the cover on in the winter!!!! could we aquire a hot tub??????? more childrens events would be nice! pool side grill/boaters store??

136.

The health benefits of swimming are tremendous. We would like to see a year round pool.

137.

We think the "adult swim" time is not fair. Most times when they call "adult swim" there is only an average of 2-3 adults in the pool. ALSO PLEASE PURCHASE MORE UMBRELLAS for the pool area...They do not cost that much money.

138.

Please upgrade the filter system so that we do not have any more disruptions to the swim season. The pool is the only amenity (other than parks) that the kids can use during the summer. Also, having the pool closed is hard on the lifeguards who can't work on the days the pool is closed.

139.

The pool should remain open year round since we bought the bubble

140.

Wish the season could be longer....what happened to the "bubble?" I think a session of off-season swim lessons might be popular!

141.

Needs to be cleaned up and modernized. Locker rooms need makeover

142.

The pool is showing its age. An update to the decking area and pool would be nice. More shade areas.

143.

With more younger working famalies in LWW, I would like to see more classes offered in the evening after work times and on the weekends.

144.

It should be free for members.

145.

Where is the cover we purchased? It should be put up so our investment does not rot away. Is it possible to have some swimming in the winter? Maybe charge more to cover expenses.

146.

We would use the pool year round if it were available.

147.

Water temp very important; should be 84 in the colder months.

148.

Would like to see one or several small locations "within" the fenced pool area for responsible consumption of food/beverage. If appropriate, can be cordoned off, and/or for adults only. This would be convenient for parents who would like to keep an eye on their children without having to drag them out of the water & to the picnic table (forgoing pool time) while waiting for parent to finish eating.

149.

Pool should be open year round.

150.

Heated so we can swim all year long. Add a jacuzzi.

151.

Please bring back the cover for year round use

152.

We were told when buying our home POOL WAS OPEN YEAR-ROUND! THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING WHEN NOT TRUE. THE LAKE IS GOOD IN SUMMER BUT WHAT ABOUT WINTER.....WE NEED IT!!!

153.

keep it open all year.

154.

They pull the kids out of the pool at "senior swim" time whether the seniors want to swim or not. The swim team monopolizes the pool and forces the kids out. The swim team should swim later in the evening. There is far more nice weather that would allow swimming during the year when the pool is closed.

155.

Not user friendly, the hours of open operation are too limited. It is closed for swim team too often and closed for too many months. Bring back the diving board.

156.

one of the reasons we chose lake wildwood was so i could swim daily. we did not know the pool was not year round or had no lift for the handicapped, which could be bought for $6000.00.

157.

We need a year around facility that caters to adults and to a lesser extent, children and teenagers. Lap swimming and exercise classes are a must for our adult members.

158.

Pool needs a great deal of work or preferably replacement with an indoor/oudoor facility.

159.

To enjoy year-round swimming, please, replace the bubble. Where did it go? Why was it taken away?

160.

Need to have more evening hours when the sun is not dierctly on the pool No charge for Grandchildren in the pool. Allow life jackets or swimmers if adult is in the water with child that does not know how to swim

161.

Need available year round.

162.

we want yeararound swimming

163.

year around use

164.

Covered pool for winter

165.

During water aerobics are two lifeguards necessary? Cost!

166.

Should be open all year. A pool service should be hired.

167.

needs for lifeguards could be better planned

168.

many people bought in LWW because a pool was available

169.

two years ago I attemptede lap swimming in the fall and winter months, what a disapointemt! either the pool was closed do to a heat break down or for some other reason so i joined the Sierra Health Club for lap swim. (this is the weak link in LWW)

170.

kids count down since diving board removed
