| 1. | 9/4/2008 7:56:00 PM | Explorer is sometimes very
crowded on holidays- parking gets tight, picnic table/sand space is tight.
|
| 2. | 9/4/2008 11:54:00 PM | When
the Caparral Park is converted to a kayak park it could also could accomodate boaters with dogs
so the dogs can get off the boat for a while.
|
| 3. | 9/5/2008 4:13:00 PM | Meadow Park boat storage needs a
lockable gate so it can be locked during the closed hours. This would prevent thief and damage to
the items stored there and stop people who drive cars in circles in the gravel at night. Close gate
at 11:00 PM Open gate at 5:30 AM. I live across from Meadow Park and hear and see things in
the night.
|
| 4. | 9/5/2008 4:18:00 PM | The goos patrol dogs have done an
excellent job...thank you.
|
| 5. | 9/5/2008 4:47:00 PM | Please post signs indicating no
swimming or playing off the boat dock at Meadow park. This is a very dangerous situation when
someone is trying to launch or dock a boat.
|
| 6. | 9/5/2008 5:36:00 PM | none
|
| 7. | 9/5/2008 5:41:00 PM | We
need more Bocce Courts.
|
| 8. | 9/5/2008 6:02:00 PM | Signs stating NO DOGS are posted
at the parks. Yet, dogs are part of the picnic or swimming group there, or walked at the park or
running loose under supervision at the park. I am a dog lover, but, I really don't think they belong
at the parks for any reason, except health issues their owners may need them
for.
|
| 9. | 9/5/2008
6:46:00 PM | bird dropings at Commodore, Hideaway
|
| 10. | 9/5/2008 6:48:00
PM | none
|
| 11. | 9/5/2008 7:20:00 PM | Much more pleasant now that the
goose droppings have been reduced dramatically. Kudo's to the dog team.
|
| 12. | 9/5/2008 7:33:00 PM | pool
should be open longer
|
| 13. | 9/5/2008 7:57:00 PM | Vista Park goose poop cleanup is
wanting most of the time.
There is not small boat storage available, anywhere.
|
| 14. | 9/5/2008 8:07:00 PM | Have
restrooms open early!
|
| 15. | 9/5/2008 9:57:00 PM | The parks seemed to be better
maintained in years past as far as cleanliness of the beaches and rest rooms. As always, Explorer,
Hideaway and Vista need at least twice as much parking then they have in the summer and
holidays.
|
| 16. | 9/5/2008 10:11:00 PM | Make every effort to maintain and
keep beaches clean
|
| 17. | 9/5/2008 10:58:00 PM | Need better
grass.
|
| 18. | 9/5/2008 11:33:00 PM | too small. pets not allowed, too
crowded generally. nasty lake water so swimming isn't healthy or fun.
|
| 19. | 9/5/2008 11:34:00
PM | Need stronger enforcement of no dogs
|
| 20. | 9/6/2008 1:50:00
AM | Improve the grass. Keep removing the foul.
|
| 21. | 9/6/2008 3:56:00 AM | Lake
cleanup and geese/bird reduction a real plus. Play equipment improvements also nice for
grandchildren.
|
| 22. | 9/6/2008 4:33:00 AM | Mosre shad areas would be
helpful.
|
| 23. | 9/6/2008 5:25:00 AM | Not well maintained, The lake has
to much growth
|
| 24. | 9/6/2008 2:52:00 PM | Would like walking path, maybe
paved, in Commodore.
|
| 25. | 9/6/2008 4:01:00 PM | NEGATIVE-Prime beach area
taking up with playground equipment at Explorer and Vista. POSITIVE- Explorer Park is always
kept well manicured by the crew. My wife walks by that one several times a
week.
|
| 26. | 9/6/2008 4:59:00 PM | Lake Wildwood Assoc. does an
outstanding job maintaining the lake, beaches & grounds.
|
| 27. | 9/6/2008 5:36:00
PM | Bathroom facilities need to be updated and made ADA standard. Pathways through
the parks should be built to help with movement to and from the beach and facilities and the
parking lots. Hideaway is a great example of what needs to be done.
|
| 28. | 9/6/2008 6:15:00 PM | We
MUST keep geese and ducks to a minimum,as much as possible! (If we are to use
them)
|
| 29. | 9/6/2008 6:25:00 PM | We don't understand why dogs are
not permitted, even on a leash. Our parks should be dog-friendly. Designate some parks as OK
for dogs.
|
| 30. | 9/6/2008 6:57:00 PM | Q. 23 is really
N/A
|
| 31. | 9/6/2008
8:17:00 PM | Last year there seemed to be small sucking critters in the water and
swimming was unpleasant. This year the water around Vista Park seems to be critter free - a big
improvement!
|
| 32. | 9/6/2008 8:31:00 PM | Please address the sanitary order
problem at Explorer park, it makes it difficult to enjoy the environment and
picnic.
|
| 33. | 9/6/2008 10:15:00 PM | no
comments
|
| 34. | 9/6/2008 10:26:00 PM | Great places to socialize and meet
new friends
|
| 35. | 9/6/2008 10:37:00 PM | I was very impressed with the
improvements at Hideaway & will probably use it more often now. I would like to see more sand
brought into the beach area near the new docks. Also lawn area needs a liitle more
care.
|
| 36. | 9/6/2008
10:44:00 PM | Rest Rooms need to be upgraded and made handicapped accessible. The
parking lot at Hideaway Park needs to be paved and stripped for better
parking.
|
| 37. | 9/6/2008 11:49:00 PM | Commodore's beach would
probably be used more if parking were closer.
|
| 38. | 9/7/2008 12:16:00
AM | Commodore Park needs some firm pathways to/from the parking
lots
|
| 39. | 9/7/2008
1:09:00 AM | keep them mowed, paint outside of some bathrooms, replace worn picnic
benches and perhaps one more at Explorer
|
| 40. | 9/7/2008 1:26:00 AM | Happy to hear that the parks are
gradually being improved--new bathrooms, landscaping, docks, etc. Hideaway Park is so much
better now.
|
| 41. | 9/7/2008 7:43:00 AM | Lack of parking in and around the
park for both Autos and Golf Carts.
|
| 42. | 9/7/2008 3:35:00 PM | One park or beach designated for
dogs would be nice.
|
| 43. | 9/7/2008 4:57:00 PM | The only problem is the duck and
goose droppings. I don't know what can be done about that though.
|
| 44. | 9/7/2008 8:09:00 PM | The
lake is so dirty we cannot swim
|
| 45. | 9/7/2008 9:16:00 PM | None
|
| 46. | 9/7/2008 10:01:00
PM | goose poop attracts flies in the parks
|
| 47. | 9/7/2008 10:59:00 PM | we
need a year round pool
|
| 48. | 9/8/2008 12:30:00 AM | We are totally frustrated that our
dogs are not allowed in ANY beach or park area. this really negatively affects our enjoyment of
the parks and beaches.
Other than that, we like the beaches and parks very much.
|
| 49. | 9/8/2008 2:36:00
AM | Seems to be fine
|
| 50. | 9/8/2008 2:39:00 AM | Meadow Park needs more trees.
The security lights at the boat yard are too bright at night when they go on and shine in my
bedroom. I have complained about the lights before, but they are on a lot because of deer, etc
and during the winter, when the leaves are gone, they are very annoying. Plant more evergreen
trees along the Vogt fence to encompass the area.
|
| 51. | 9/8/2008 3:12:00 AM | Try
to keep the geese away when the parks are in use
|
| 52. | 9/8/2008 7:50:00 PM | The
sand volleyball court at Commodore Park definitely needs a fence or other barrier between it and
the Marina -- too many balls end up in the water, with the only retrieval options being swimming
in an area where there are lots of fishhooks or climbing around the gates onto the restricted
docks.
|
| 53. | 9/8/2008 9:57:00 PM | We would very much like to have
REAL SAND at Explorer beach. Currently, it is VERY dusty. Also, the sewage SMELL get very
bad, at times.
|
| 54. | 9/8/2008 10:20:00 PM | I like the newer playground
equipment that we have for the smaller children
|
| 55. | 9/8/2008 10:33:00 PM | Bird
droppings are better but still a problem.
|
| 56. | 9/8/2008 10:37:00 PM | It is nice to see the gease mess has
been cleaned up, sometimes too many unruly kids.
|
| 57. | 9/8/2008 11:08:00 PM | At
Hideaway Park, someone tangled the buoys and made the swimming area smaller. The new trees
and play equipment make this park on the whole much better.
|
| 58. | 9/8/2008 11:48:00 PM | be
nice to have a place where dogs could have access to the lake.
|
| 59. | 9/9/2008 1:14:00
AM | Could use better docking @ Vista & Commodore for our elderly
visitors
|
| 60. | 9/9/2008 2:36:00 AM | upgrade
restrooms
|
| 61. | 9/9/2008 3:27:00 AM | The geese poops in Vista this year
was disgusting and drove me away.
|
| 62. | 9/9/2008 3:50:00 AM | Vista could use more goose
control. Geese can make these parks unusable.
|
| 63. | 9/9/2008 9:11:00 AM | Of
course no one likes to swim in the things "growing" in the lake but I know you are doing the best
you can to rectify it.
|
| 64. | 9/9/2008 5:19:00 PM | So much better now that we have
the "goose patrol"!
|
| 65. | 9/9/2008 5:23:00 PM | I would like to see more trees
planted in some of the parks. We could use more trees in all parking areas as
well.
|
| 66. | 9/9/2008
5:32:00 PM | The pavilion at Hideaway Park could use fans similar to those at
Commodore Park.
|
| 67. | 9/9/2008 5:38:00 PM | Continue the upgrading of all the
parks amenities
|
| 68. | 9/9/2008 5:52:00 PM | none
|
| 69. | 9/9/2008 7:15:00 PM | sewer
odor at explorer is, at times, real bad
|
| 70. | 9/9/2008 7:17:00 PM | Desilt Meadow Park Bay!
The situation with the geese is much better.
|
| 71. | 9/9/2008 7:20:00 PM | We prefer the pool to swim in, it is
cleaner.
|
| 72. | 9/9/2008 7:24:00 PM | Need to remove the gopher/mole
problem in Commodore Park.
|
| 73. | 9/9/2008 9:02:00 PM | There is an occasional sewer smell
at Explorer. It has occurred during the entire 7 years I have lived here. Seems like something
could be done about it.
|
| 74. | 9/9/2008 9:39:00 PM | Can use new docks at Meadow.
Really like the addition of more day use docks at Hideaway.
|
| 75. | 9/9/2008 9:45:00 PM | It
seems that the commordore beach and meadow park beach get very little use becuase there is no
shade.
|
| 76. | 9/9/2008 11:13:00 PM | 1.BUILD SHADE
STRUCTURES ON HIDAWAY PARK NEAR WATER (TREES PLANTED WILL TAKE
YEARS BEFORE OFFERING REAL SHADE).
2. PARKING AT HIDAWAY SHOULD BE EXPANDED TO UNUSED GRASSY AREA
NEAR WATER LIKE VISTA PARK.
|
| 77. | 9/10/2008 2:56:00 AM | On weekends, particularly, there
are a lot of vehicles in the parking area with no visible decals, parking passes or other indications
of authorized access to Lake Wildwood.
|
| 78. | 9/10/2008 4:33:00 AM | Explorer park is the closet but the
smell has limited our time. I have called and was told it is an issue they are working on. We love
vista park and we have noticed less goose poop. We like the recycle trash cans. Thank
you!
|
| 79. | 9/10/2008 4:25:00 PM | My only concern is the location of
the swimming sign at Vista Park. If one is sitting on the lawn, you are unable to see children
swimming in the lake. May I suggest that the sign be placed on the tree. I have spoken to many
parents down at the park and they all agree. Thank you for your concern.
|
| 80. | 9/10/2008 5:02:00
PM | Nicest when geese are cleaned up/and or absent entirely. When huge occasion
came up for us, not good communication from office about how MANY families had same day,
usage of BBQ stoves, lake access, a big wedding and our big anniversary (40th) made problems
for BOTH groups....explained as MUrphys LAW??? Not acceptable answer to either group. We
have not used CP for any more groups, personally...free park as members only as good as
availability and fair scheduling.
|
| 81. | 9/10/2008 5:38:00 PM | Would like the swimming pool
open year round.
|
| 82. | 9/10/2008 6:49:00 PM | Overall, we believe that the parks
are very well maintained, and that this level of maintenance should continue. There does need to
be continuing attention paid to "Goose Poop", which has been reduced
lately.
|
| 83. | 9/10/2008 9:24:00 PM | It is critical that non-goose dogs
are cited and removed form the parks. They can interfere with the
success of the actual authorized goose dogs.
|
| 84. | 9/10/2008 10:06:00 PM | The grassy area was once cleaner
than it is today. Need more shade on the park at the swimming pool. There seems to be more
grass growing in the swimming areas. Would like to see the grass etc. cleaned out every
year.
|
| 85. | 9/10/2008 10:15:00 PM | Policy prohibiting dogs should be
reversed. (dogs should however be well behaved, required to be on leash and the owner/handler
held responsible for removing their dog's excrement.)
|
| 86. | 9/10/2008 10:37:00
PM | Swimming pool area needs real face lift...old and dirty.....replace chain link fence
with rod iron and cedar......create a small exercise/fitness area....the one outside the gate is small
and expensive...would also like to see some kayak stands available in the parks for permanant or
seasonal storage.
|
| 87. | 9/10/2008 11:25:00 PM | Ther continues to be a lot of
goose droppings.
|
| 88. | 9/11/2008 12:12:00 AM | At Explorer Park, move the
tables on the south side of the creek to the north side. These tables are never where they are
currently located.
|
| 89. | 9/11/2008 4:07:00 AM | A lot of goose feces at Vista
Park
|
| 90. | 9/11/2008 4:34:00 PM | Better maintained grass in parks,
especially Hideaway with the new improvements and landscaping, the grass is
pathetic.
|
| 91. | 9/11/2008 4:34:00 PM | It would be nice to allow dogs on
leash to the parks
|
| 92. | 9/11/2008 6:27:00 PM | I would be nice to have one area
in one of the parks and a time frame or one day that dogs could be allowed to enjoy the water and
grass in the park. A small area in one of the parks that is not used by that many
members.
|
| 93. | 9/11/2008 7:11:00 PM | I've been very pleased with the
state of the beaches, with hardly any goose droppings around this summer.
|
| 94. | 9/11/2008 8:22:00 PM | This
year at Explorer Park it appears there is a woman using the park regularly as her day care center.
They have taken over most of the beach on several of my visits and have made my use of the
beach awkward.
|
| 95. | 9/11/2008 9:26:00 PM | Speeding of boats in the no wake
areas. Need one additional sign of wakes in WIDE AREA of Chaparral Circle and Chaparral
Drive. Boats seem to think it is no longer a wake area after passing last sign 3 signs
by the Island heading South. Move 3rd sign about 150 yards South of the sign -wide
area.
|
| 96. | 9/11/2008 11:59:00 PM | Hidaway is now
terrific
|
| 97. | 9/12/2008 2:36:00 AM | Should allow all dogs in the
park
|
| 98. | 9/12/2008 6:00:00 PM | goose droppings have decreased
but there is still some work to do
|
| 99. | 9/12/2008 7:23:00 PM | The parks(especially meadow and
vista) need some serious attention! The lawn needs to be maintained, the sand is dirty and well,
lacking sand, the picnic tables need to be replaced. Vista has the most beautiful setting and the
breeze on the hot summer nights makes it the place to be, but for some reason it is like the
forgotten cousin to "commodore"!!
Meadow park has a serious drainage problem I think there was a puddle of water on the corner
of the basketball court for about 2months (long enough to grow moss and slime)! We really enjoy
going out to that park there is a lot of room to play baseball/football with the kids, but the sloppy
grass really makes it messy! We have some really nice parks here, I just wish some things could
get taken care of!
|
| 100. | 9/12/2008 10:04:00 PM | allow dogs in
parks
|
| 101. | 9/12/2008 10:05:00 PM | Great to keep the geese poop off
the beaches and park
|
| 102. | 9/13/2008 2:48:00 AM | Duck poop on the grass and
beaches has been awful in the past years, but better this year. Roped off swim areas were
decreased at Commodore and Hideaway which was a disappointment to us. Needs to be
larger!
|
| 103. | 9/13/2008 4:04:00 AM | A lot of goose poop along the
shoreline at the beach by the pool area.
Also, the beach in Commodore Park tends to be scummy: lake weed and such.
Would be nice to have boat docks near the beach by the pool.
|
| 104. | 9/13/2008 4:37:00
AM | We don't use Meadow Park, (except for boat launching), but that is primarily
because of the lack of parking and the unattractive access to the park. We believe there are ideas
afloat to downgrade Meadow Park, because of it's lack of use. We are totally opposed to that
idea. Rather, the park should be made more attractive. Then it's use would increase. We strongly
oppose any move to reduce parkland.
|
| 105. | 9/13/2008 4:48:00 AM | Need a large play structure at
Commodore.
|
| 106. | 9/13/2008 5:13:00 PM | None.
|
| 107. | 9/13/2008 7:07:00
PM | Can we please get some real sand on our beaches instead of that "rocky stuff" that
we have. It is not hard to do...It is not expensive...we do not have big waves that will wash the
sand away...if we put sand in place it will stay there and more people will use the
beaches
|
| 108. | 9/13/2008 7:42:00 PM | like what's been done for
Hideaway even tho it's not completed; all parks should be improved in line with LWW Master
Plan, incl. new bathrooms, once done they'll be good for many, many years to
come
|
| 109. | 9/13/2008 9:36:00 PM | I love what you've done to the
landscaping at Hideaway Park. Am anxiously awaiting the parking lot/bathroom completion
there
|
| 110. | 9/14/2008 2:24:00 AM | The duck droppings need to be
cleaned on a regular basis.
|
| 111. | 9/14/2008 4:34:00 PM | Parks need a little more maintance
up keep
|
| 112. | 9/14/2008 4:38:00 PM | Would like more shade, and
removal of duck feces
|
| 113. | 9/14/2008 5:42:00 PM | none
|
| 114. | 9/14/2008 6:49:00
PM | Grass got very dry at Meadow park. Bocce courts would be nice to move closer to
the lake/bathrooms
Explorer is very nice.
|
| 115. | 9/14/2008 7:50:00 PM | Emergency phone signs could be
more noticeable. Possibly have the type of trash cans used in parks up in the Sierras, lockable and
prevents wild animals from getting into them.
|
| 116. | 9/14/2008 8:12:00
PM | Explorer Park usually has a foul sewer odor during the summer. The sand is dirty
and very dusty and we would like to see new sand on the beach.
|
| 117. | 9/14/2008 9:08:00 PM | we
need more and better bocce ball facilities
|
| 118. | 9/15/2008 4:57:00 PM | Wpuld like to be able to take our
small dog on a leash when we go to the park with the understanding that everyone is a responsible
dog owner and will pick up after them.
|
| 119. | 9/15/2008 5:57:00 PM | Wish we could have one park for
dogs, so they could swim and play.
|
| 120. | 9/16/2008 12:21:00 AM | like the upgrades to
Hideway
|
| 121. | 9/16/2008 3:40:00 AM | Really appreciate the very clean
bathrooms. Would like Meadow park to have a few more picnic tables by the beach/play
area.
|
| 122. | 9/16/2008 6:26:00 PM | Both Vista and Commodore park
beaches are too rocky in the swimming areas.
|
| 123. | 9/16/2008 9:21:00
PM | Wave action quite heavy at Vista sometimes
|
| 124. | 9/16/2008 11:54:00 PM | It
would be very helpful if there was a place where kayaks could safely be stored and secured for
ease of access. I would be willing to pay a fee for this service, and I would definitely use the
kayaks more often!
|
| 125. | 9/17/2008 2:59:00 AM | Commodore Park parking
problems
|
| 126. | 9/17/2008 5:32:00 AM | Parks need to be updated and
improved.
|
| 127. | 9/17/2008 3:47:00 PM | There is still an offensive odor
present occasionally at Explorer Park
|
| 128. | 9/17/2008 4:35:00 PM | Could use better boat parking at
Vista; all park restrooms need updating and expanding those at Commodore; the recent work at
Hideaway is outstanding, let's hope it gets finished, Meadow Park needs major rethinking and a
decision made if it is to be for recreation and boat parking as it is not now doing well at
either.
|
| 129. | 9/18/2008 9:35:00 PM | We are new to Lake Wildwood
and will reserve our opinion on some of the above until we get better familiar with the runnings of
the Parks. Thank You
|
| 130. | 9/20/2008 3:03:00 AM | Implement smoking
limitations
|
| 131. | 9/20/2008 3:31:00 PM | Great improvements to Hideaway
Park this last year although tree selection was poor. Magnolias are not characteristic of this
area.
|
| 132. | 9/20/2008 3:40:00 PM | wish list to fix: 1) Negative effect
of waste water pump @ Explorer. 2) lack of put-in, take-out for kayaks @
Commodore.
|
| 133. | 9/20/2008 3:53:00 PM | Goose poo still needs
work
|
| 134. | 9/20/2008 7:38:00 PM | Keep up and pursue the exclusion
of the geese. Always a need for more tables. Improve security at Meadow for boat
storage.
|
| 135. | 9/20/2008 9:23:00 PM | None.
|
| 136. | 9/20/2008 9:48:00
PM | People using Highaway Park to cook during summer months often leave fires
smoldering and smoking for hours into the night. This smoke drifts into open windows of nearby
homes. Often it is impossible to use our deck or leave our windows open. Please post signs
stating fires must be completely out before leaving park. Also, alert members to this unpleasant
problem. Thank you!
|
| 137. | 9/20/2008 10:30:00 PM | LIKE THE RECENT
IMPROVEMENTS AT HIDEWAY PARK
|
| 138. | 9/20/2008 10:55:00 PM | I have written the board in seeing
about having a ban on smoking on the beaches, since it is for use mainly by the children and adults
swimming in the water. I don't care if these people want to smoke in the picnic area behind the
sandy beaches. please consider this as it would make the beach environment much more inviting.
To many people put their cigarette out in the sand.
|
| 139. | 9/21/2008 12:53:00
AM | The addition of the volleyball court was a good one. Also, having the'goose' dogs
on "patrol" has been a great improvement since we first moved here. You can actually walk on
the grass. Thank you.
|
| 140. | 9/21/2008 3:37:00 AM | Hideaway for swimming and
kayaking.
|
| 141. | 9/21/2008 4:12:00 AM | Explorer Park needs major
upgrading, a new play structure, more tables/benches near the beach, upgrading of bathroom and
something needs to be done about the sewer gas odor which is very unpleasant at
times.
|
| 142. | 9/21/2008 4:33:00 AM | We are happy to see the reduction
in the number of geese.
|
| 143. | 9/21/2008 5:04:00 AM | The beautiful improvements at
Hideaway are much appreciated. It is a pleasure to use the pavilion and the beach
areas.
|
| 144. | 9/21/2008 4:05:00 PM | The sewer stench at Explorer park
is nasty. Goose poop (much better than it used to be). The swimming area within the bouys at
Vista is much rockier/stony than Explorer. Possibly some of the stones could be raked out during
water draw down and sand added.
|
| 145. | 9/21/2008 8:59:00 PM | need pathways with lights for
events in the parks.
|
| 146. | 9/22/2008 12:25:00 AM | Need a Kayak storage and
launch on the Main Gate Side
|
| 147. | 9/22/2008 1:00:00 AM | Low wall at newest home
adjacent to Vista Park is a hazard to playing children and should not have been
allowed
|
| 148. | 9/22/2008 3:12:00 AM | sewage odor is a problem at
Explorer park.
|
| 149. | 9/22/2008 4:35:00 AM | We do not use the Parks regularly
because we cannot bring our pets with us. Not all pet owners are
irresponsible.
|
| 150. | 9/22/2008 4:28:00 PM | I just wish there was not so much
"goose poop" on the lawns at Hideaway. We attend when we have visits from grandchildren and
the goose poop is a turn-off. Honestly, there is not much your staff can do about this problem.
We'll just deal with it!!
|
| 151. | 9/22/2008 10:09:00 PM | There are occasional sewer smell
at Explorer park; very unpleasant when picnicking.
|
| 152. | 9/22/2008 10:53:00
PM | Parks are well maintained
|
| 153. | 9/22/2008 11:53:00 PM | goose pool situation has
improved, but parks needs more frequent cleaning. I am happy with the HIdeaway remodel and
look forward to other park remods.
|
| 154. | 9/22/2008 11:58:00 PM | Sewage smells at
Explorer
|
| 155. | 9/23/2008 12:27:00 AM | Too much duck poop. We need
a better way to maintain cleanliness of the beaches regarding these birds. I like the idea that
people can play sports at the park...great job of improving Commodore!
|
| 156. | 9/23/2008 1:58:00
AM | There is still too much geese droppings.
|
| 157. | 9/23/2008 4:57:00
AM | The water in the roped off areas does not seem to be that clean. The rocks are
slimy
|
| 158. | 9/23/2008 6:50:00 PM | Goose droppings in all parks are a
great concern.
|
| 159. | 9/23/2008 7:12:00 PM | The parks and beaches are well
maintained.
|
| 160. | 9/23/2008 7:38:00 PM | No
Comment
|
| 161. | 9/23/2008 8:13:00 PM | The bird poop at Hideaway can
get pretty gross especially on the beach by the docks.
|
| 162. | 9/23/2008 10:21:00
PM | would like to see a dog park in lww
|
| 163. | 9/23/2008 11:58:00 PM | I
like the absence of goose droppings, thanks Ward Thompson.
|
| 164. | 9/24/2008 12:39:00
AM | Explorer Park seems to have a bothersome smell in the late afternoon/ early evening
that seems to come from the bathrooms
|
| 165. | 9/24/2008 1:01:00 AM | Let's get the low wattage light
bulbs installed in the restrooms. I've noticed the old bulbs.
|
| 166. | 9/24/2008 3:28:00
AM | Commodore park is such a nice large park, it would be great to have concerts there
in the summer, LWW could charge admission and serve dinners at the new
clubhouse.
|
| 167. | 9/24/2008 8:22:00 PM | I suggest that some or at least one
of the parks should have a low (4" to 6" above water) dock for use by canoeists, kayakers and
other small boats. I also suggest that the association consider adding lockable and secure rack
storage for kayaks, canoes, and small rowing craft at one of the parks, preferably Meadow
Park.
|
| 168. | 9/24/2008 9:09:00 PM | ALL PARKS NEED HANDICAP
ACCESSIBLE RESTROOM FACILITIES!!!
|
| 169. | 9/24/2008 10:26:00 PM | re
explorer ... former GM placed the swings etc on valuable beach (this beach is smaller than others)
asked w/ petition that it be moved further back. It was his way or the highway. The sand/ gravel
that is placed there every year is extremely dusty, the kids want to play catch or swing kick up
dust, disturbing other users many who have respitory problems & I can' t believe that the prents
want their kids or grand kids breathing the dust.
|
| 170. | 9/24/2008 11:49:00
PM | the ground cover at explorer is not sand, it appears to be some sort of gravel. When
one walks or plays on this gravel it throws off considerable dust. This dust is injested into the
lungs of those nearby including the children. I hope you are aware how toxic this dust is. Ihope
this is not the silt from the lake. Whatever it is,we better take a good look at possible health
effects.
|
| 171. | 9/25/2008 4:08:00 AM | More goose patrol work at Vista
Park.
|
| 172. | 9/25/2008 4:24:00 AM | Hideaway is looking better and
better. Commodore could use another restroom.
|
| 173. | 9/25/2008 6:25:00 PM | It
is not right that a wedding party can limit the ability to swim at Commodore Park! There should
be a SPECIFIC location dedicated to where the actual wedding can take place, and not where
swimming is restricted.
|
| 174. | 9/25/2008 8:59:00 PM | More marina space would be nice,
we are on the waiting list
|
| 175. | 9/25/2008 11:01:00 PM | Hideaway-1 or 2 more beach
umbrellas (fixed permanent sun protection) close to lake
|
| 176. | 9/26/2008 5:18:00
AM | Beaches are well maintained and are a definite assest for the
community.
|
| 177. | 9/26/2008 2:54:00 PM | One of the main reasons we chose
to purchase a home in Lake Wildwood was the access to 5 different parks to walk our small dogs
in, we are very frustrated to have learned Lake Wildwood prohibits this activity. Now I am
forced to walk my dog on busy streets without a sidewalk or safe area in which to do so. I am a
very responsible dog owner, we clean up after our dogs and if I walk my dog in a park, we do not
go into the picnicing areas with the dogs. Lake Wildwood should be more responsive to dog
owners.
|
| 178. | 9/26/2008 4:19:00 PM | Allow dogs in parks to keep geese
out
|
| 179. | 9/26/2008 4:57:00 PM | Explorer has the nicest beach, but
stinks because of the sewer. Meadow and Hideaway have weed problems.
|
| 180. | 9/26/2008 6:09:00
PM | Need built in barbeques in Commodore and Hideaway Parks. Existing barbeques
are in terrible condition. Please, please, please let us take our dogs to the parks. If not all,
designate at least one park where we can take them. The wildlife make far more of a mess than
our personal pets. Add the doggie potty bag dispensers at the designated
park.
|
| 181. | 9/26/2008 6:53:00 PM | Beautiful trees planted at
Hideaway Park but we don't like the fact that there isn't much ball playing area anymore. We feel
the trees should have been planted with better planning.
|
| 182. | 9/26/2008 8:02:00
PM | Keep up the good work with the goose patrol and keeping the goose poop cleaned
up
|
| 183. | 9/27/2008
4:47:00 AM | Too many animal drops on the grass.
|
| 184. | 9/27/2008 4:58:00
AM | Would like to see less goose poop, but generally the facilities are very clean and
inviting.
|
| 185. | 9/27/2008 12:27:00 PM | Biggest concern is the water
quality for swimming.
|
| 186. | 9/27/2008 7:02:00 PM | Thank you for having recycling
bins at each park. Please allow dogs at ONE park & beach.
|
| 187. | 9/28/2008 12:32:00
AM | Prefer to have dogs allowed in the parks (most residents pick up the litter) and that
would help eliminate the ducks (whose litter is not picked up).
|
| 188. | 9/28/2008 4:40:00
AM | There should be no smoking allowed..... the smokers are setting a bad example for
the children and making the other visitors breath awful air
|
| 189. | 9/28/2008 5:02:00
AM | Would have put very satified if not for all the geese poop at Commodore
park
|
| 190. | 9/28/2008 11:14:00 PM | all which has receintly been done
at Hideway is great. Just need a closter bathroom.....
|
| 191. | 9/28/2008 11:54:00
PM | Would like fans in Hideaway Park pavilion.
|
| 192. | 9/28/2008 11:59:00
PM | Went to the 4th fireworks about 3 years ago, and have not been back since, due to
the geese droppings problem
|
| 193. | 9/29/2008 12:13:00 AM | Need better control of the duck
population and penalties for feeding them.
|
| 194. | 9/29/2008 12:51:00 AM | Litter, dogs off leahses, loud
parties, no parking. Non-stickered/non-residents using our parks.
|
| 195. | 9/29/2008 1:31:00
AM | Unpleasant odor at Explorer Park is an issue!
|
| 196. | 9/29/2008 9:18:00
PM | replenishing sand at kayak launch site is appreciated
|
| 197. | 9/29/2008 9:26:00
PM | The crowded courts suggest that additional bocce ball courts would be well
utilized.
|
| 198. | 9/30/2008 2:13:00 AM | We like the up-grades at
Hideaway Park
|
| 199. | 9/30/2008 3:45:00 AM | Don't run sprinklers during park
open hours.
Pave boat ramp parking.
|
| 200. | 9/30/2008 4:49:00 AM | Love it; we're not full time
residents, but we use the beach facilities most often in the summer.
Wish we could have the dog there, though.
|
| 201. | 9/30/2008 4:35:00 PM | Allow Dogs in the park. Install the
"popper bag" distributer and educate on use to keep our parks clean. This is a great asset that pet
owners would love. Also, more Goose exhaust on the beach than any dog.
Other towns do this and have great energy by doing so. Please. Thank
you.
|
| 202. | 9/30/2008 6:57:00 PM | There should be at lest one park
which allows dogs.
|
| 203. | 9/30/2008 7:22:00 PM | The parks are fine and we usually
just go to the parks for club activeties.
|
| 204. | 9/30/2008 9:32:00 PM | We want total beach access for
the 4th of July. Having the beach blocked off for fireworks during this crowded day is not
acceptable to owners. 2008 was a great year. Thank you for the change.
|
| 205. | 9/30/2008 11:23:00 PM | I
would like dog w/ leash allowed in Parks w/pick up bag provided
|
| 206. | 10/1/2008 5:59:00
PM | Sewer smell at Explorer Park is a problem
|
| 207. | 10/1/2008 6:22:00
PM | More play equipment, especially at Vista. Why was the climbing structure
removed?
|
| 208. | 10/1/2008 7:00:00 PM | Would like to walk my dog to the
parks and keep it on a leash and clean up after it if necessary.
|
| 209. | 10/1/2008 8:22:00 PM | the
pool should be open year-round.
|
| 210. | 10/1/2008 11:50:00 PM | Nice to have more tables and
shade like covers
|
| 211. | 10/2/2008 12:16:00 AM | Please restore a large, safe,
inflatable raft at Commodore Park. Everybody had fun on the old slippery wooden
one.
|
| 212. | 10/2/2008 12:33:00 AM | The goose problem that seems
to be getting under control. Much better than a couple of years ago.
|
| 213. | 10/2/2008 1:15:00
AM | We should consider a dog park. Our 4 legged family members (pets) would enjoy
and so would we.
|
| 214. | 10/2/2008 2:29:00 AM | Exporer Park has a "sewer smell"
at times
|
| 215. | 10/2/2008 3:46:00 AM | the soccer goals need to move
from Meadow to Commodore(behind the marina bathrooms) please! the goals have not been used
at meadow ...ever, because you kick a soccer ball and it goes stright in the water!
the new landscaping at hideway is terrible...it takes up all the space where families used to play
frisbee and football, and soccer and wiffle ball. big mounds of dirt....right in the way...they should
of outlined the terrain...not broke up the terrain. and ....most....important!!!...The stench at
explorer park is unbearable!!! you must, I repeat must, do something about the pump station at
explorer park!!!!!!!!it's embarressing to guests, and honestly it is a health hazard!!! Please, please
help with this...if nothing else, please fix explorer park!
|
| 216. | 10/2/2008 4:26:00
AM | Keep the docks in better condition.
|
| 217. | 10/2/2008 5:17:00 AM | a
dog park would be a great asset
|
| 218. | 10/2/2008 4:31:00 PM | Except at explorer hideaway and
vista parks, the geese poop is not cleaned up like at commodore. We sure wish it was. Many of
our friends and residents have the same complaints.
|
| 219. | 10/2/2008 6:05:00
PM | Commodore park is mantained very well, I realize Commodore is used for special
functions and activities and maybe that is why it gets so much attention to maintenance. We feel
that the other parks are being neglected of maintenance in particular, Vista, Meadow and
Hideaway Parks. Vista Park is one of the most used parks in Wildwood and the lack of upkeep
really shows, grass dead in many places, no weadeating done, picnic tables in terrible shape.
Meadow Park usually just gets a weakly mow and no other attention, the basketball court should
be blown clean which never happens. Hideaway Park does look better with the new trees planted
but it could look a lot nicer if more time was spent on a weakly basis with maintenance. The main
problem is not enough time spent at these other parks, when most of the time is spent at
commodore for maintenance. I have contacted Dan Watson numerous times about these issues
with no change, I hope this will spark something the parks are a huge asset to Wildwood and they
should be as beutiful as they could be.
|
| 220. | 10/2/2008 9:09:00 PM | Too much sewer odor at Explorer
Park. Otherwise, we love the beaches and are willing to put up with a little goose
poop.
|
| 221. | 10/2/2008 9:37:00 PM | Landscapeing could be a little
more.......
|
| 222. | 10/2/2008 11:14:00 PM | I am very pleased with the Parks
and Beaches. I understand the rule, but there are times I would like to bring my
dog.
|
| 223. | 10/3/2008 3:49:00 AM | we like the location and setting of
hideaway but the water is very fithly with duck poop.
|
| 224. | 10/3/2008 5:14:00
AM | Sometimes there is a lot of goose droppings at the parks and beaches. It makes it
inconvienient and unsanitary when the beaches and parks are in this
condition.
|
| 225. | 10/3/2008 2:51:00 PM | Allow limited dog access in one
park with pickup bag dispenser. Benches along waterfront.
|
| 226. | 10/3/2008 7:27:00
PM | Would like at least one park and beach that is Dog Friendly where dogs are allowed
on leashes.
|
| 227. | 10/3/2008 8:08:00 PM | It would be nice to have a hose
available to hose down the sand on hot days at the volleyball sand court in Commodore. A water
fountain would be nice so we can drink out of. When they first dug the sand pit, we disagreed on
location - TOO CLOSE TO WATER - on a hard spike the ball goes into the water (water ruins
the ball - pigskin) - THE CONSTRUCTION staff ignored us and said this is where the association
allocated. We thought the grass volleyball court closer to the road was more appropriate and it
wasn't as close to the water. They ignored us and still dug - hit a water main we believe that
during digging of the current sand court it got flooded for a while. WE'RE STILL THANKFUL
THOUGH AND WE USE CURRENT SAND COURT. WE WISH THEY COULD INSTALL
A LOW FENCING SO THE BALL DOESN'T ROLL TO THE WATER. Our main concern is
where the ball falls is a "NO SWIM ZONE" since the boat dock and gas dock is right there. We
would appreciate if there could be a fence that's still aesthetically pretty for the volleyball players
but not close off access to the water for the fishermen.
LIGHTS WOULD BE APPRECIATED FOR THE SAND VOLLEYBALL COURT SO WE
CAN PLAY UNTIL NIGHT TIME JUST LIKE THE TENNIS PLAYERS.
It would be nice to have a horseshoe pit on the other side of Marina on Commodore Park side.
Maybe even a golf disc basket, so we can practice in.
The Big BBQ pit is not always by the sand volleyball court. It would be nice to have a permanent
big bbq pit by the sand volleyball since we gather by the court playing games all day. Maybe
someday we can hold tournaments there. We like to play all day sometimes.
It would be nice to have a bigger Dance Room with ballet bars and maybe even poles for dancing
practice. I am a dancer and I would like to have access to the dance room for personal rehearse
time (if available) other than having to attend a yoga class/exercise class. I dont' know the current
plans of the building that's being built right now but is very exciting. I'm hoping that the Dance
Room will not have allotted open hours and WILL BE OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS for use. If
the space has been booked by someone then they can have it. I've seen many dance rooms where
they have a sheet where people can book the space on a first come first serve basis. Of course
groups that are larger may have precedence over smaller groups. The dance room should have a
decent sound system and a dvd player so users can view self-help dance/workout videos as they
are practicing. People should be able to record their own videos for choreography review.
Mirrors are necessity. It would be nice if there is also a view to the water. more relaxing for
yoga participators. When I start teaching my son to dance - it would be nice once he's older and
his other friends are dancing - maybe we'll have a little dance hip hop crew of 5 year olds :) My
child is currently 2.
Hopefully there is a workout room as well to lift weights, etc. The toys are locked up at the
commodore park children's playground though :( We wish the keys to the toybox are available at
the second gate rather than having to depend on the snack shack to be open to acces toys. We
frequent this park and my boy is always bummed when the toys are locked up. Maybe with the
new building there will always be someone available.
WE LOVE THE POOL AND WE LIKE THAT ITS OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND.
WE ARE VERY HAPPY HERE AND LOOK FORWARD TO THE IMPROVEMENTS.
THANK YOU FOR LETTING US BE HEARD.
|
| 228. | 10/3/2008 8:54:00
PM | Repair the group barbecue at Commodore Park
|
| 229. | 10/3/2008 9:05:00
PM | Where do I start...every park but Commodore looks unkept and no where near as
important in reflecting pride in our community. Vista-the grass(or should it be called weeds)
aren't mowed very often, the trees and rocks around the lake aren't trimmed and there is goose
poop everywhere! Hideaway-the bathroom is smelly and gross. Meadow-the grass is always
soggy and wet. There is poor drainage at the corner of the basketball court nearest to the
bathroom. Explorer-often a gross sewer smell. Commodore-grass is watered and mowed daily
and ALWAYS looks pristine. If only the same care and pride was taken with the other
parks.
|
| 230. | 10/3/2008 10:05:00 PM | Would be good to see more
swings (infant swings as well)
|
| 231. | 10/3/2008 10:25:00 PM | Permit supervised pets in the
parks.
|
| 232. | 10/4/2008 2:44:00 AM | I live across from Commodore
Park and the dog patrol is a waste of time. The dog chases the geese into the lake and as soon as
the dog leaves the geese come out of the water and back to the park.
|
| 233. | 10/4/2008 2:44:00
AM | The grass at all of the parks, especially at Vista park, is about 75% weeds. The
weed level, especially of Crab Grass, in all parks and the golf course is terrible. From time to
time I get Crab grass in my yard and I have a very simple weed control spray I use on it and it
works great. I Ken wolford wants a demonstration on how to use it, I will personally purchase
some and give him a demonstration of how it works.
|
| 234. | 10/4/2008 2:59:00
AM | We are very much looking forward to the new recreation
facility.
|
| 235. | 10/4/2008 3:26:00 AM | Could use one more dock at
Hideaway due to Yacht club events usually entail 10 boats. Geese poop situation nicely improved
from some 3 years ago.
|
| 236. | 10/4/2008 3:39:00 PM | Need more parking spaces for
events held at Hideaway Park. Restrooms at Hideaway Park need lights.
|
| 237. | 10/4/2008 5:25:00
PM | Thank you for containing the Geese - Much less goose doo!
|
| 238. | 10/4/2008 8:04:00
PM | keep simple, but clean
|
| 239. | 10/4/2008 9:44:00 PM | The diving board was removed
from the pool. Perhaps they could build some slides and diving boards at the
parks?
|
| 240. | 10/4/2008 10:00:00 PM | One park should allow
dogs
|
| 241. | 10/4/2008 10:42:00 PM | Our lives have changed
dramatically recently. Our children and grandchildren no longer come up as often, and since we
have sold our boat, we don't go either. WE love being on our back deck and looking/watching
the golf course and golfers
|
| 242. | 10/5/2008 1:03:00 AM | Better clean up of the goose poop
along the beaches regularly during the summer.
Commodore Park swim area is pretty scummy to swim in. Much of the shoreline is gross with
lakeweed.
|
| 243. | 10/5/2008 3:32:00 AM | Continue a program to control the
geese so owners can enjoy the parks. We appreciate the program to control weeds and water
quality
|
| 244. | 10/5/2008 4:56:00 AM | Improved bathroom facilities;
kayak storage; enlarge boat marina;
|
| 245. | 10/6/2008 4:27:00 AM | There are not as many swings and
other playground equipment around anymore.
Why?
Where does the equipment go?
|
| 246. | 10/10/2008 2:31:00 AM | Need better lighting at
Commodore Park exits.
|
| 247. | 10/10/2008 6:55:00 PM | Need more tables close to
parking
|
| 248. | 10/10/2008 7:08:00 PM | Hideaway landscape was
unnecessary.
|
| 249. | 10/10/2008 8:28:00 PM | more restrooms at
commodore
|
| 250. | 10/10/2008 9:31:00 PM | must keep wildlife under
control
|
| 251. | 10/10/2008 9:35:00 PM | trees at explorer park need to be
cleaned up of dead limbs
|
| 252. | 10/11/2008 12:40:00 PM | More seating and additional
toilets
|
| 253. | 10/11/2008 9:07:00 PM | I would like to see dogs on leash
able to enter the smaller parks if off season ( not Commodore Park).
